Hi Nichole! Great question (and what a keen eye!). I believe it's Kalanchoe sexangularis, a succulent that loves bright light and tolerates infrequent waterings. Hope this helps! ---Justin, Costa Farms Horticulturist

Why do you plant death cages around the plant roots ???

Hi Helen! In their testing, our growers haven't found any long-term health issues to the plant when using biodegradable mesh plugs. Of the different propagation methods we've tested, the biodegradable mesh plugs have given us the highest-quality plants. But because so many people believe they're harmful, our team is actively testing alternative propagation methods and looks forward to switching to something else as soon as they find one that doesn't lead to a decrease in plant quality. ---Justin, Costa Farms Horticulturist
