Yukon Cornelius carried a revolver, a fixed blade and an impact tool on his waist, forward of his hips. He knew what’s up.
He is the jam!
❤ I'd love to hear more. I'm in the dark in europe x
@@simonwinwoodYukon Cornelius is the cartoon character on his shirt. It’s from a children’s Christmas cartoon.
Yukon Cornelius was the absolute best.
I'm still here haha. Die Hard is a Christmas movie, full stop. Let me describe a Christmas movie for you. John McClane, who is estranged from his wife Holly and kids, comes to visit for Christmas. When talking to her kids about if Daddy is coming home for Christmas Holly says, "we'll see what mommy and Santa can do". Through the movie, which takes place on Christmas Eve at a company Christmas party, Christmas music abounds. One of the most heart felt lines in the movie is when John says, "she heard me say I love you a thousand times, but she never heard me say I'm sorry." John and Holly rekindle their love, work through their issues, and John comes home at the end of the movie. Now tell me that's not a movie about the love and hope of the Christmas season. Yes, thieves take over the building and a butt ton of people get shot, and blown up, and thrown off of the skyscraper to splat on the ground. But where are the rules that say you can't headshot a dude trying to kidnap your wife in a Christmas movie?!
It is universally recognised that Die Hard is a Christmas movie 👍
Die Hard, Home Alone and Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, National Lampoon Christmas, and Jingle All the Way are the Greatest Christmas Movies all time. Honorable Mentions, Miracle of 34th St and Christmas Story.
I like you don’t hide you faith I will continue to watch your video’s👍🏼good man!
Thanks so much my friend!
Can't believe I missed this video being posted! Can't wait to watch through it. Happy holidays everyone!
Violent night has become one of my favourite xmas movies.
One of my most looked forward to videos every year! Loved this, Aaron and got a lot of ideas for friends and family! Loved your plug for reading John! Also, spiked drink Aaron makes some pretty funny content and I welcome it! Haha Blessings to you and yours!
Glad you enjoyed the video and am thankful for you! Hope you have a great Christmas!
Always love watching your gift lists. Thank you for sharing. There are a couple of items from your list that I plan on buying. I'm so glad you like your Lionsteel fixed blades. I have 4 Lionsteel knives and love each one of them. I also have the Hardside Hydration and Grayl per your past recommendations. As for the camp chair, I have a less expensive OneTigris Chair. So far it has been great.
Band of Brothers is sooo good! I’ve watched it 8 plus times.
That's so funny, I have been re-watching Band of Brothers every year at Easter since 2006. Such a fantastic show and excellent choice as a gift for a war/history fan! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
So cool!
35:42 I’m still here! I put you on podcast style as I was doing some chores around the house. Great list 👍
Awesome! Thank you! I thought some would do that.
I've been meaning to make a Christmas list for my wife and sons. You just saved me a bunch of work. I can just forward them this video.
Glad I could help!
Thanks so much for covering such an array of items! Have loved your channel for years - I'll never forget the first one I saw - the Ka-bar BK-7...still a classic. ✌️
Oh wow! Thanks so much Mitch really appreciate it and glad to have you as a part of the GT Crew!!
I appreciate you releasing Christmas ideas before it's too late to buy stuff!
The reason that the Silky saws break is two fold 1/ the original saws were for the home gardner and thinly made. 2/ users were pushing the blades expecting them to cut whereas the blade is a cut on the pull blade. Buy one of the newer heavy duty saws and the problem is solved. I love using my Silky saw and can highly recommend the nata machete ( an awesome tool ).
From one ginger to another, Yukon Cornelius is the face of masculine adventure!
Totally!!
@@gideonstactical I got my YC hoodie in the mail yesterday in navy blue.
Another great video man! I am a fixed, blade, knife guy, and the honorable mention of the T5 was spot on. Definitely one of my go to knives. Appreciate your hard work man. What an awesome job you have.
Thank so much my friend. Really appreciate it!
@@gideonstactical😊 what is the name brand of the brown knit ski hat you're wearing in the video? Looks good. I need a new one like that. Im tired of the cheapies that dont keep warm
Love the Klein set and Knipex. I have both in a micro tool kit I car carry. Awesome tools.
I love me some Yukon Cornelius merch!!! I always have to watch Rudolf on TV to catch YC.
I like that you talked about the book of John and Jesus and your faith I have getting close to him it i wonderful Ihave always believed I just I wished I would have wanted till I have stage4 lung cancer to get to close to him. Thank you for all the work you do
I understand my friend, I believe God can redeem time itself. Know He is with you and I am glad you are in his kingdom. I will be praying for you.
Love my Stanley little pot with the 2 cups in it!!!
Yeah, that kit is so cheap and so durable and reliable.
What, I'm surprised that the Joker 6.5 XL Nomad didn't make your list LOL I do love mine. Great gear talk Aaron. I look forward to these videos through out the years. Cheers!
The full-size version is awesome, this, really like the campero for some reason. It really fits a niche for me.
@@gideonstactical I too have several Joker knives and yes the Campero checks all the boxes for me as well.
Joker do a nessmuk style and that is my GOTO for all cooking and skinning needs . And yes I too have replaced the esse 6 with the lion steel m7 and have not looked back .
Love this type of video!!
Anna and the Apocalypse is in my top 3 Christmas movies.
As someone who just started using a Manix 2 LW in Rex 45 I'm blown away by it.
I’ve been thinking about picking one of those up myself!
I have a manix 2 with titanium scales and it's great, been using it about a year. I have the cru-carta manix on pre-order
Got to be National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation for a film/movie 😊
Great list of gear, but I liked the video for the quick scripture drop.
Awesome!!!
I'm 19 seconds into the video but I have to say......that hoodie is awesome!
Thanks so much!! I have links to Yukon Cornelius gear in the video description if you’re interested in scoring one for yourself!
I agree on sharpening unless I'm doing multiple blades hand sharpening with dc4 or work sharp
Thanks for this. I need all the ideas I can get.
You are so welcome! Hope you find some good ones in there.
Good list Aaron. Im sure someone has commented already, but when I talked to a rep from Knipex she said it's pronounced like ka-nip-ex. GOD Bless!
Great share! Love Lionsteel as well! Who does not love those Moras! Happy Thanksgiving 🦃🍁!
Thank you! You too!
Thanks Aaron, all good ideas.
My pleasure!
SOG power pint has become my go to edc . The size and versatility makes it a winner for me . I carry a full tool loadout so a full-size multitool just isn’t practical for my needs .
It is bomb!!
I have that Stanley lunch box , good taste in gear !
I love that thing!!
As an avid Mora fixed blade user and lover, I finally decided to try a $43 Joker knife off amazon. Maybe I'll make a "battle of the budget fixed blades" video. Enjoy the "modified" eggnog! Happy holidays GT!
Thanks so much!
Great vid, man. Thanks
Glad you liked it!
those are cool movies !
I follow from Turkey. Good luck 🇹🇷
good list. thanks for the insight
I would like say something I've watched you for so many years now I just want to say much appreciated 👍
Thanks so much!! You all in the GT Crew make it all worth it!
Lethal weapon is THE Christmas movie!
Thumbnail for "Hydration" chapter of the video is on point 😂
Nice list of ideas 😊
❤ still hangin' in the uk x
K bar Becker bk2 for fixed blade is my current favorite.
Good information. Great video 👍🇺🇸
Glad you enjoyed it
I look forward to this list video every year and it wouldn’t be Christmas without it or Yukon Cornelius
Haha for real!
Point break is a classic no matter what time of the year!!
Would love a very budget sensitive EDC survival gift guide.... $15 to $25 each.
Harbor Freight, Home Depot, Lowes, Amazon, etc...
Also budget pouches and backpacks... $15 to $25...
Also first aid, etc...
Books etc
excellent as usual
Thank you! Cheers!
Great video great info
Glad you enjoyed it thanks so much for watching! Hope you have a great Thanksgiving.
Lethal Weapon and First Blood are also Christmas movies .
Still with ya until the end !! Excellent, comprehensive video. Have a great Thanksgiving
Same to you really appreciate it!
Who is Yukon Cornelius.? In Australia we've only heard of Sargent Preston of The Yukon. Happy holidays GT & Family. Cheers from Land Down Under.!!
th-cam.com/video/gpn_hofHQuc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=mkD6IKMRHWruaccZ check this out. Hope this will give some context and Happy Holidays to you too.
Come to the coast will have a couple laughs.
Made it all the way. Lord of the Rings is the best trilogy ever.
Awesome!! Thanks for hanging with me and yes it is!
French press is the superior way to make coffee, wether your camping or at home
I did French press for years. Such a headache to clean out the grounds. Pour over is so fast and easy. Great taste too.
Excellent from UK
Many thanks!
FYI Stanley makes a French Press coffee thermos.
What size pliers was that? 5 inch?
In case other viewers missed it. The book of John is by far the most valuable and useful recommendation on this list. Keep up the good work!
Amen!!
Does the grayl freeze in cold temps like the sawyer? If so, how do you recommend keeping it from freezing?
The Grayl can freeze 3 times before needing to replace the filter. Filling it full of water and sleeping with it in you lot bag helps.
Dont know why it took me so long to subscribe, old man syndrome i guess lol. Great video, only thing is you talk so fast when sayin' different blade steels, i cant hear them, ( yeah im hard of hearing), but i never could hear when ppl talk fast. I know you have alot of info to put out, so i get it. Do you have a video explaining different blade steels? If not that would be a cool vid. Anyway, love the Channel and GOD BLESS you and yours. P.S. im a submarine veteran. We got issued knives that had a marlin spike on it. I think it was called a jackknife?? If you have one or can get one for review, it would be a awsome review. It took me FOREVER to sharpen it and from what i remember the edge didnt hold well. That could very well be that i was 18 and didnt have a clue what i was doin' lol.
Waiting for your review on Hims or is that usage just for personal reasons?
Thanks for the great video Aaron. Buying the LAPG tradesman pants now. But which is the fixed blade you had on those pants?
EDIT: Die Hard is the best christmas movie.
Awesome!! And the knife is the MKC Marshall video coming soon.
I've used the uber fire steel for a couple years now (and I'm busy...and sometimes lazy as well) so wick/bellow is awesome. Well worth the money. Now maybe I'm getting my channels mixed up, but re: the PocketRocket 2, didn't you say the Soto was your favorite in a previous video?
Hey thanks for watching!! No that must be someone else. Never used a Soto stove.
@@gideonstactical Gotcha. Not surprising, I listen/watch to way to many channels while working. I haven't used it yet, but Soto's 4 pot holders vs. the usual 3 make me feel better if the kid decides to boil water herself LOL.
I don’t understand why no channel doesn’t play 24 hours of Die Hard? Yippee ki-yay
For real!!
What was the brand of the channel locks?
Knipex
Carry a Knipex mini-cobra 125 in my EDC invaluable 👌
The adjustable jaw wrench by knipex is pronounced Nipex as it is a German made tool, all said great video
a better alternative to his skimpy ratchet would be the Wera tool check plus
I just checked that set out. Looks awesome. And I’ll have to get it in the new year. Pricey though hopefully it’s not super heavy either. That’s nice thing about the Klein it’s light and 25 bucks altogether.
Sweet dude love your content
Moore goodies 🤣😍
YC is a badass.
Stanley stuff is always reliable.
Got a link to the Neiko ratchet set?
Just check the Amazon link 👍
What fixed blade is that?
I listed all of them in the links
Love my Helinox Ground Chair!
Pair that with the Helinox Speed Stool for the perfect-height, folding foot-rest (that also can double as an extra seat for a camping partner!).
They’re a match made in heaven! Recommended!
I’ll have to check out that speed stool!
Council tool vs gransfors bruks video. Annnnd go lol
Bumbles bounces.
Die Hard is the best Christmas movie. My Wife disagrees with both of us .
Ive used the grail on a few group backpacking trips and EVERYONE uses it if i leave it out and let them because its so quick and convenient it makes thier water filters seem barbaric!
Haha!!! Love it
Thanks Aaron. I *have* wondered about Tommy, but was kinda scared to ask. I'm really glad to hear he's okay.
The Sharpal is my preference and recommendation. The 127N (the one with the plastic handle) has become my go-to, as the handle just makes it easier and safer to use than the Worksharp Field Sharpener, in general, and especially so with bigger blades. Add to that, it's so compact that I can literally slip it into my pocket, so it works anytime, anyplace, anywhere.
Yes, he’s getting up there in age at 11 years old but he still got a lot of energy in life and I’m. Hope you get them on the trail here soon.
Dude, you are Yukon Cornelius... I never realized the uncanny resemblance. But I had to do a double take when I first turned on the video because I thought you were wearing a shirt with your own picture on it😅
Hahah awesome!!!! A man to live up to
Great video.
Have a great holiday season.
Thanks, you too!
Digging the relaxed vid format with the egg nog
I’ll take you up on the friendly die hard being a Christmas movie or not. The setting sure is Christmas time but this is a summer action movie released in July.
Reminds me of Gremlins, a summer comedy horror flick released in June with a Christmas time setting.
Both are not Christmas centered or focused. Neither on Christ nor on the commercial aspect.
Don’t get me wrong , I enjoy both but a time setting does not change the theme of the film or genre as listed on IMDB.
I do the same thing with LOTR too by the way.
14c28n over d2 ALLLLLLL DAY!
Hey Aaron, I love your channel brother. Above all the great EDC items you presented, I love that you shared the gospel.
It was simple, to the point, and it can easily speak to someone who is hurting or may be searching in hits/her heart for the truth. To let others that Jesus is the answer and that He loves us all irregardless of what sins we may have committed. Jesus wants us to dump all our struggles and pain at His feet, He alone can heal and give us hope.
Thanks again for all the products for gifts this Christmas season, it is so helpful
Greetings from Southern California, this is Alan, God Bless You!!
John 14:6
Thank you so much my friend. That is very encouraging.
That Yukon Cornelius hoodie is awesome, dude! Lol
My nickname at work is Yukon Cornelius, haha
He has always been one of my favorite Christmas characters!
Getting me that hoodie for show man!
That is awesome!!
God bless you all.
Stay safe and warm
Guy pitches the Gospel account of John...my guy! Tracking!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Dude are you a Michigander??
Rocky Mountain high Colorado
@@gideonstactical just curious as to "Lake Mi"..
Want it all tell santa for me
Will do
powerpoint makes no sense to me. you gain power because of the gears, but then lose that power because you have to open the handle twice a far to get the pliers to spread the same as any other multitools.
Work (and Torque) = force x distance. So with any lever the tradeoff is force for distance, or vice versa. So if you have to supply more distance, you get more force.
Nobody wants a Charlie-in-a-box!!!
First
200 bucks for a JUNGLAS? 300 is more like it.
Where does this guy have the disposable income to spend hundreds of dollars on a knife and other type of gear?
Great question, my friend, I’ve been doing this for over a decade now. It is now my full-time job. The income comes from commercials that play before a TH-cam video, the affiliate networks that I partner with, and companies that I have personally vetted and trust that I partner with for the shout outs. This empowers me to be able to buy tons of gear to test out and review for you guys the viewers, sometimes Company send in some stuff, but if you watch my channel regularly, you can see that means nothing and at times companies that send in their gear for testing get destroyed. My whole purpose and goal with the channel is to give you the viewers, entertainment, and value and information so you can make a wise choice if you’re interested in particular gear item. So you better understand its capabilities and limitations, and whether or not, it’s right for you. Hope that helps my friend!
@@gideonstactical thank you for dedicating your channel to educating consumers. You have a great channel which probably turned from hobby that you love to a business that you love. Keep em coming. Much appreciated.
