At college I could not pay tuition and off-csmpus room rent tso made a camp in wilderness outside town om a 30 foot mesa in Eastern Washington in early 70's. I used dead trunks set against a rock face, covered them with plastic sheet and dead branches. I lay my bedroll on pineneedles. Very little rain fell. I was dry. Cooked soup of plaintains and brook watercress over a lamp, maybe a snail or two! I did this for a quarter to catch up in finances. It worked! Shared my abode sometimes with shrews. My music was the wingbeats of wild geese flying over the mesa. Coyotes chorused. It was spring so did not draw attention by needing a fire for heat. God is merciful. Nature was kind to me. I too am Scandinavian. Maybe that helps surviving in this primitive fashion? Cheers

Carbon monoxide becomes dangerous when there is no air exchange between the enclosed area and the outside atmosphere. Here, there is much ventilation,so hardly any danger of carbon monoxide poisoning. I really like your cozy, warm shelter, better than many I've seen you make!!
Woww i was really impressed from the first seconds, you really look like a strong and awesome snow warrior. I like the way you handled the situation very professionally and i really admire that in you. I wish you always safe and healthy. Best regards ❤❤
Your three-day winter camping adventure with a fireplace inside your shelter perfectly captures the essence of bushcraft and self-reliance. The way you create a cozy, warm space amidst the cold shows a remarkable blend of resourcefulness and comfort. Your storytelling brings the experience to life, making it a truly inspiring example of outdoor ingenuity. And I am Floating Village Life.
Of course this was a replay. But worth the rewatch, nice listening to your nariation. This was one of my favorites. Like your vagabond style. God be with you. Thank you for your posts. Nora
Hi there from Scotland ✌🏻👋🏻🏴❤️. I’m so glad you’re talking now. I know it’s hard to learn a different language (especially English). So well done and keep it up please. I want to know the thought process of the task at hand. Saying that, the work you put in is incredible 💪🏻👀
Beautiful video and very helpful narration. Your English is better than some of my American friends. 😊 I'm sure the stone cave reflects back the heat from your fire.
I really like your narrated videos. It's interesting to understand why you do some of the things we've seen you do in the past. I hope you continue making these from time to time.
Whoa! We are having 90+ degree weather in the NW USA and you are working in sub-zero climate. Lukas, you are a cold weather creature for sure. Perhaps this was an adventure you just added narration to. I love your programming and send many warm thoughts your way. Thank you very much and please tell us whenever you get to work in your own forest.
Hi Lukas! I’m Charlene. I found your channel a few weeks ago & I like it alot. I think you are a good serious teacher BUT I would love to see some more of your sense of humor! In one of your other videos, you made a joke about a bear, and I laughed out loud about that I thought it was funny. I am a subscriber now, and will continue to watch your fantastic videos. Thank you!😁
I have noticed subtle instances of humor. He makes sure to include instances of when he falls backwards when pulling a branch or slips on ice. Then he just shakes his head and smiles :) Blessings to you and keep watching this channel it's AWESOME. Also check Chad Zuber. I call him the "Age of the North of the South' 😂because he is similar in a lot of ways to Lukas, except he is in California.
wow this was incredible and totally satisfying to watch. Thank you so much for sharing your experience with the community. Best wishes to you and your future advertures
I have watched hundreds of movies about survival in nature, this one is in the top 3. I also have some experience with lighting a fire, it is not clear to me how the problem with smoke is solved.
Sleeping on a cold hard rock could not have been fun especially with such limited fire that would have went out after a short while....invest in a saw and a stretcher. They have very lightweight ones.Great to watch your video and appreciate the hard work to film all of that .
I could be mistaken but didn't you have another channel called Bard's Craft? Your voice sounds vaguely familiar. Nice video by the way! Always like watching Viking bushcraft videos.
I have long wondered about the land you build on. Back in the 70s sweater vests were the rage, unable to buy one, my grandma crotched one for me. It was to warm to wear in most situation, but when I went to work in construction it made an ideal inner layer holding heat close to my body while allowing my arms to remain free
I believe you mean 'crochet'. I will now spend the next several hours trying to get the image of your grandma "Crotching" your poor sweater out of my mind. Thank you for that :)

The serenity in this video is so inviting. The peaceful nature scenes are amazing. Does anyone else agree?

Snow, peace and solitude are the perfect combination for a beautiful experience.
I really do like the narrated videos better than the silent ones. Helps to follow your mindset and exactly what you are doing.

This is quite intriguing. Refreshing to see a guy who knows what he’s doing! A survivor to learn from! Thank you for sharing

I dream of this stuff. I have gotten old and need to be near a bathroom.
So, build a bathroom 😂
@@dawnarcand8720 What kind of bush bathroom do you recommend for someone who may have unpredictable, explosive diarrhea?
@user-qo5hh9bw4w get a portable bucket, put a trash bag into the bucket, and add pine or dig a hole
