@@BestDamnEDC No idea of you ever see these but I just wanted to recommend checking out the Up Knife UPK-M2 bolt action otf multi tool and Grim Workshop survival cards, tool necklaces, and micro tools. The Up Knife multi tool is very pricey but Max level EDC did a short on it you could check out to get an idea of the quality that goes into making it and the survival cards and tool sets are extremely affordable and made with repeated use in mind. I think they would be a great addition to a video like this one.
I appreciate this list because a lot of things I can afford or easily set aside a bit of my paycheck every week to save up for if I can’t get it immediately. A lot of people in the TH-cam EDC space go high end and don’t consider that a lot of viewers aren’t flush with cash or don’t feel comfortable asking family/friends/etc for these types of things.
As an fountain pen person, as my EDC pen I always end un carrying a Kaweco in my pocket, the sport and liliput series are awesome, light weight, high quality and I've written with them everywhere from airplanes to boats, dry and humid places, from seas and deserts.... I'm missing space, but I don't think they would let take my EDC in a spaceship anyways. I really recommend them.

Everyone seems to be missing out on the Streamlight Bandit. It uses a headband or even better hat clip, I keep one in my coat pocket and all of my vehicles. Obviously, a backpack, fanny pack, or cargo pocket would work great also. Excellent headlamp!
It took me a LONG time to decide I wanted to spend $99 on a pen, but when I finally did I was glad I bought Tactile Turn. They truly are heirloom quality pens. Also I added like 3 things to my Christmas list from this video. Definitely the Streamlight USB flashlight. I have a few of the triple A variety and I'd kill for the USB rechargeable.
Great list. My own experience with Zojirushi, great for 12 hours and then it loses heat. Love the knife suggestions, but I carry a Sebenza or a Hinderer every day as one of my knives. Love the Tactile Turn pens. Cheers
Taylor, great video! I work in the Washington DC area and my EDC is a little bit of a "Gentlemen's - EDC" (G-EDC). Since I wear suites all the time, my gear needs to be just as "Sharp" as my suite. I am happy to see that you have join the Fountain Pen Klan. I too carry a Tactical Fountain Pen From Shchrade, which has been with me for years now. Side Bar - The Cap has to screw on to the back of the pen to be concerned a tactical pen, this provides the additional space to grip in an under hand position for strikes and counter blocks.... Also, please take note that November 4th is Natonal Fountain Pen Day, now you are a part of the Klan, this is a special day for all Fountain Pen users. I also carry the SOG PowerPint and my main blade is my William Henry Pocket Knife. My flashlight is the EDC 2AAA Flashlight from 5.11; My bag is a Tumi 3 in 1 brief, that change from a briefcase to a message bag to a backpack. I got a lot more in my G-EDC Communter Bag. This is a great way to keep it frosty as I commute to work, if you know what I mean. Keep up the great videos and great product idea.... I'm going to have to grab me that Holme & Hadfield Display Case for my G-EDC. Stay Frosty!

One, underrated, Leatherman I really like and recommend is the Micra. It replaces the pliers with scissors and for me, thats way more useful. I really need to try the Drift. At $250, I would add to the list the We Mini Malice. Its the best knife I have ever used/ carried. Love the Microstream and Pineapple Mini.
My favourite EDC are steel vacuum flask bescuse can be knocked around and even dropped and will never break I am old enough to remember the old glass vacuum flask they used to break or explode all the time I always had to buy a new insert every 3 of 4 months I have had about 3 different one knocking around for the past 10 years
Now, see, I COULD buy myself a set of sharpening stones so I can take care of these dull blades... OR I could buy myself another knife. I think I know what I'm going to end up doing.
What do you think of the classic fisher space pens? I have one in raw brass that I love. It disappears in my pocket and it's comfortable to write with. Plus looks classy. I haven't really felt the need to look at any other EDC pens after I found that.
I love Fenix lights, right now my 2 favorite lights are the pd36r and the thrunite t1s, I think they're the best lights for less than 100 bucks in full and small size the battery life is great, I haven't had to charge them since I got them 7 months ago, and they don't have proprietary batteries or chargers which is awesome
Thank you so much for showing that EDC fountain pen! I've been looking for a way to EDC a fountain pen but hadn't found a great option for a more durable pen. This one from Big Idea looks amazing! I still have most of a bottle of my favorite ink, Wild Strawberry from Diamine.
Not to say BigI/tactile turn are not good pens,but I would disagree in saying most edc pens are over $100. Lots of budget pens like the tomboy airpress, zebra F701,fisher space pen,rite in the rain etc are all really good affordable edc pens. Just thought I'd put it out there!
I can definitely agree with the SOG PowerPint and the Zojirushi bottles, they're absolutely fantastic. I'd have to throw in a CIVIVI knife recommendation too, I'm absolutely loving my Pintail, the quality is amazing and an S35VN blade for ~$80 is an unreal value.
I have a multitool that I "lost" when camping but I just ended up leaving it in an open-aired tractor and it got rusted. I ended up putting WD-40 on it but it doesn't remove rust, so my question is does Flitz work on other things like multitools and files, and now that I'm typing this, it feels like there is an obvious answer. Thank you for including Flitz, I literally NEEDED that!! lol
Build quality of a multi-tool really matters to me. I just wish that Leatherman would make my minimalist multi-tool. Pliers w/ replaceable wirecutters. Knife w/ 1/2 serrated edge. Good scissors (the Micra's are sweet, albeit small). The FANTASTIC diamond file from the Wave (or same diamonds on a smaller file). Driver. Razor saw? Nice, but not needed in a minimalist tool. Can/bottle opener? nah.
USB charge lights are not practice because when you are broken down on the side of the road at midnight and need to change a tire or something under the hood. Not having a working flashlight is easier to fix with a spare battery, than waiting for a usb cord waiting to charge it

There’s a better option for the titanium bottle “same shape and design only the lid is not tethered to the neck” that is great for edc but also camping or hiking trips one reason it’s better is because it’s cheaper “I saw 2 size’s on Amazon one was about 1l the other was about 600ml the 1l came with a nesting cup also titanium” but the main reason they are better is if you are camping or walking if you remove the lid you can put them over heat be it in a fire or on a stove and heat the water inside the flask itself to purify or just make a hot drink even to heat let cool a little replace the lid and use as a hot water bottle if you become cold or wet 👌🏻 they was from one of the Chinese titanium brands “can’t remember off the top of my head who” but I believe the 600ml was about £50-60 and the 1l plus cup was about £80-85 I get the whole para cord thing “if you add it it makes anything bushcraft” but them doing that with your bottle takes a titanium bottle function away instantly just to have the look of a bush craft edc style item “just on a side note remember don’t put to much heat on the seal or it will melt and leak 😅”
Hi Taylor, The BID Slim Click Pen is beautiful however the clicking mechanism is not as smooth as I had expected. It was very gritty / grinding when I received via my Kickstarter order. I cleaned it up and applied some silicone grease too. The clicking mechanism sometimes gets stuck mid-way and pen point doesn't deploy. I need to let my thumb loose and then try again to deploy. It happens few times and it's a bit irritating. Is it just me or does anyone else face it too? Any suggestions to make the mechanism perfectly smooth shall be really appreciated. Moreover, I guess I would have preferred the click to be more clicky / snappy rather than soft that it is now. Would be great to know your views.
I used to swear by my Zojirushi. Put coffee in it one morning and took it to work. Started wondering why small brown spots were appearing on my clothes and elsewhere. Sealed it, turned it upside down, and hot coffee started pouring out from the area near the hinge. 🤷🏼♂️

Hello mate! Really need your help here. I´m kind of new in this edc world ad really trying do find the best edc items for me, and belive me I`m really trying hard. Now I´m almost there (you never are with edc I know haha) but I´m killing me self and can not find the SOG PowerPint anywhere. Maybe it´s beacause I´m living in Sweden I don´t know. Really need your help here. I´m kind of new in this edc world ad really trying do find the best edc items for me, and belive me I`m really trying hard. Now I´m almost there (you never are with edc I know haha) but I´m killing me self and can not find the SOG PowerPint anywhere. Maybe it´s beacause I´m living in Sweden I don´t know. Tried amazon, ebay, swedish sites but nothing. Really hope you see this and help a edc buddy before the holidays. Also loving the good and helpfull work you are doing here on your chanel.
