People say to help melt a stubborn solder joint, add MORE solder to that old joint and then desolder (it will help almost every time). It sounds weird to do but its an insanely popular trick.
I watched your other video and was confused. You didn't have cut a hole for your clutch pedal in the firewall for the manual conversion? My friend had a 1998 Prelude before and borrowed my hole saw bit to cut a hole in the firewall for his clutch pedal assembly for the manual conversion.

Yeah it might be different with the Prelude but the holes were pre cut in the EK
