Sir, i already connect the yellow to yellow and green to green one.plus already touch the two thick wire bellow.Check light still pop up after start may u teach me the right way maybe i did something mistake
Sounds pretty straight forward but the only question I have is when it comes to the transmission mount are you using a regular manual transmission mount because someone told me you need an auto to manual transmission mount because the way its Positioned
I'm re using my auto harness but what do I do with the extra a/t connectors ? depin/cut they are giving me a flashing D4 and not being able to start the car
That happened because you did not connect the wires like I showed at the beginning of the video disconnect the battery connect the wires like they're supposed to be and then connect the battery back just ziptie the extra plugs to the side
Is the transmission you have only change or even the engine? Because i’ve watch other videos that automatic to manual, they change the whole engine and transmission
hey bro quick question about thw job done on u car.... i did that to my civix dx 98 with d16y7 swap auto to stick shift.. I'm using the same harness but i have a stick shift ecu same u hva, i also did the 2 tick blk wires together clutch line and everything... but i can get the car starter at all.. no cranck what so ever
Jessie Altamirano check all your grounds also check the cables going to the starter. make sure you use the standard starter also the auto one will not work
Jessie Altamirano that's pretty much it. it's hard for me to try and diagnose with out being there. I believe it has to do with the wiring. do your plugs look like mine where the shifter used to be? Also did you take the the little cylinder out of the ignition.
EJ8 SEDAN yes at look just like u and everything looks like yours... i know u used at stick shift ecu but the auto ecu have 4 plugs and the stick shift have 3 plugs... did u used the stick shift harness or u using the auto harnes and reping the auto harnes into the stick shift ecu
i have a 99 civic lx , what looks to me is a obd2a but is really an obd2b in my auto ecu , i dont know what ECU to run that is 5 speed so i been riding out my auto ECU until i find out
EJ8 SEDAN the last box all the way at the end has a straight line instead of a square , i wish i could send a picture but its complicated , do i even need the last box since i did a manual swap ?
Im do the same thing with my 99 lx with everything from a 97 lx minus harness. Long story short im not getting power to fuel pump nor am I getting spark. Do you have any ideas that I could do. I’ve checked grounds more than once and fuses. The wire to the fuel pump get 9.7 volts but at the fuel pump it’s no power.
honestly no, it's hard to diagnose with out being there. ground to thermostat is usually a culprit, swap the fuel pumps just to cancell that out, check your main relay and double check the distributor
Jesus Cuevas because the car needs a signal from the auto shifter in order to release the key. since the auto shifter is removed there is nothing there to tell it to move the cylinder out the way so the key comes out
The process is very similar, but for eg you will need a auto to manual conversion mount as the regular manual mount for the transmission will not work.
Yo bro I recently did a manual swap on my 98 civic. It has a d16y8. I got a matching transmission for it and did the complete swap. I took the intake manifold from a manual z6 and did the 3 wire to 2 wire swap on the engine side and ecu side. The car starts fine and idles ok but the speedometer doesn’t work and one it gets above 4k rpm it makes no power and vtec doesn’t engage? Any thoughts?
speed sensor on the trans might be faulty, the vtec not working could be multiple things like the solenoid being messed up or the screen on the solenoid being clogged. the iac wire swap wouldn't make it do that since it's just there to regulate the idle.
i have another car i have 2 coupes 1 auto and other manual so i dont have to do pin right? cause mine doesnt get locked cause i changed it into my manual civic for racing but now i need to tag a car but manual doenst have title auto does
Jacob Cepeda honestly I do not know. the cars are pretty much the same. I would do a simple search on Google and see what you come up with or ask around your local Honda scene and see if anyone has the same setups your trying to achieve. I know the integra is the closest to the eg model so that might be a good starting point. here's some info I found. www.d-series.org/forums/diy-forum/77708-how-92-95-auto-manual-swap.html#/topics/77708?page=1&_k=q3gma9 honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/how-my-auto-manual-swap-pics-56k-no-no-2090074/
Why did you use P2E ecu when the honda tech diy said p2P? I'm curious because Im doing the same exact swap and I got a P2P ecu and the plugs don't all fit on the ecu that you talked about.
I used what I had at the time. And all the plugs aren't going to fit because the car is no longer automatic. The extra plugs are to run the automatic transmission and it's shift points
Also I just did a quick search and to answer your question on the ecu. The reason I used the p2e is because my car was a lx, Which had the non vtec engine. [d16y7] the p2p is for the vtec motor [d16y8] but make sure you are using the correct versions because the p2e and p2p range from 1996 to 2000. There's a difference in them for obd2a and obd2b
Many conflicting opinions; can you run the auto ecu with auto iacv and car will idle fine ? Until I get around to putting the manual ecu and 2 wire iacv in. Don't care about codes just care that it idles properly with auto ecu and auto 3 wire iacv after manual swap.
did you swap out the brake pedal for a manual one? if yes put the brake sensor from your automatic assembly back in. you might have a bad sensor. or you could have damaged the wiring while swapping them out
If you connect the wires like I showed then no you dont need to do anything to the clutch. Look at the previous video on ot and I show how to connect the wiring
So I recently convert my 00 honda civic lx from auto to manual but my car idles weird when i start it up in the morning. For example it idles from 1500 to 2500 rpm but once fully warmed up, the idle stay around 600 rpm. I did change the computer to a manual one but i just don't know what else it could be.
i have a 95 civic ex 1.6l vtec. can i do everything that you did since its vtec? or do i have to do anything special since its vtec? and did you switch your ecu or still using the auto?
Help... so finish the swap and it runs and everything but my rpms are on 3000 in neutral. So I'm thinking is because the y7 manifold has the 3 Iacv wired and the harness is also 3 wired but I have the manual CPU so idk if I can buy a Iacv with two wired and if would plug in to y7 manifold and I can just do the conversation and get a 2 wire IACV conector. I'm not sure if that would work . Hopefully some know what I can do
Marshal Sriram it all depends how you go about it. you can buy a crashed 99 or 2000 civic si and take everything off of it. or you can buy a regular civic change everything going over then buy the engine setup. the first suggestion would be the smartest and cheapest way to go about it.
good looking out bro..got my car back today after the conversion and somehow they manage to fit the shifter assembly without removing that piece or drilling new holes
Matthew Jackson ok I would double check that just in case... if you can take the center console out like I did and make a video of it so I can see what they did... if there's a easier way I would like to know for future references
I dont understand your question. for the brake pedal I installed all 3 pedals from a 5 speed car. if that is what you are asking. if you are using a automatic brake pedal just cut it so you dont press the brakes when trying to press the clutch. did this answer your question?
if you ask a question and I don't get back to you in 24 hours DM me @35hunid on Instagram, sorry to all those messages I missed.

@Deanowp only thing I could think of is there being a wiring issue with the vss or the cluster, if you have a new vss it should work fine.
@Deanowp I'm not sure, if it's not working try a new one. also check the pin out and make sure there's connectivity to the sensor

Sir, i already connect the yellow to yellow and green to green one.plus already touch the two thick wire bellow.Check light still pop up after start may u teach me the right way maybe i did something mistake
what does the check engine light say?
@@adorno1010 may i know the right colour at the socket? Green with black stripe and yelow with red strip?
hi sir ill try to put my old axle automatic buy not same
make sure the axle ring did not get stuck in the transmission
How about the cluster to a munual theres a extra wire the green wire is bigger on the auto
I just used a manual cluster
Sounds pretty straight forward but the only question I have is when it comes to the transmission mount are you using a regular manual transmission mount because someone told me you need an auto to manual transmission mount because the way its Positioned
All of the mounts from automatic to standard are exactly the same the only thing that changes is the transmission bracket on the passenger side
Only if you have a cvt auto, then you need a cvt to manual mount. I only realised when I was halfway through the swap xd
I'm re using my auto harness but what do I do with the extra a/t connectors ? depin/cut they are giving me a flashing D4 and not being able to start the car
That happened because you did not connect the wires like I showed at the beginning of the video disconnect the battery connect the wires like they're supposed to be and then connect the battery back
just ziptie the extra plugs to the side
Is the transmission you have only change or even the engine?
Because i’ve watch other videos that automatic to manual, they change the whole engine and transmission
just the transmission
Great video bro helps a lot
hey bro quick question about thw job done on u car.... i did that to my civix dx 98 with d16y7 swap auto to stick shift.. I'm using the same harness but i have a stick shift ecu same u hva, i also did the 2 tick blk wires together clutch line and everything... but i can get the car starter at all.. no cranck what so ever
Jessie Altamirano check all your grounds also check the cables going to the starter. make sure you use the standard starter also the auto one will not work
EJ8 SEDAN I'm using the starter, ecu and trans stick shift... what auto part wont work?
Jessie Altamirano that's pretty much it. it's hard for me to try and diagnose with out being there. I believe it has to do with the wiring. do your plugs look like mine where the shifter used to be? Also did you take the the little cylinder out of the ignition.
EJ8 SEDAN yes at look just like u and everything looks like yours... i know u used at stick shift ecu but the auto ecu have 4 plugs and the stick shift have 3 plugs... did u used the stick shift harness or u using the auto harnes and reping the auto harnes into the stick shift ecu
Jessie Altamirano I used the automatic harness with a manual ecu
i have a 99 civic lx , what looks to me is a obd2a but is really an obd2b in my auto ecu , i dont know what ECU to run that is 5 speed so i been riding out my auto ECU until i find out
Why do you say it's a obd2a
EJ8 SEDAN the last box all the way at the end has a straight line instead of a square , i wish i could send a picture but its complicated , do i even need the last box since i did a manual swap ?
Im do the same thing with my 99 lx with everything from a 97 lx minus harness. Long story short im not getting power to fuel pump nor am I getting spark. Do you have any ideas that I could do. I’ve checked grounds more than once and fuses. The wire to the fuel pump get 9.7 volts but at the fuel pump it’s no power.
honestly no, it's hard to diagnose with out being there. ground to thermostat is usually a culprit, swap the fuel pumps just to cancell that out, check your main relay and double check the distributor
Same thing for me. It was the main relay. 60 bucks at autozone
Why wouldnt you be able to get the key out of the ignition? Can someone please explain.
Jesus Cuevas because the car needs a signal from the auto shifter in order to release the key. since the auto shifter is removed there is nothing there to tell it to move the cylinder out the way so the key comes out
I see, forgot abut that. Thanks!
Hey I was wondering is it the same for eg?
The process is very similar, but for eg you will need a auto to manual conversion mount as the regular manual mount for the transmission will not work.
How do I get auto shifter out? Any info is appreciated. I feel dumb for asking but thanks
john medina I believe it show's it in my other video take a look at that if it's not explained leave another comment and I will explain it for you
Yo bro I recently did a manual swap on my 98 civic. Any thoughts?
speed sensor on the trans might be faulty, the vtec not working could be multiple things like the solenoid being messed up or the screen on the solenoid being clogged. the iac wire swap wouldn't make it do that since it's just there to regulate the idle.
did you wire the vtec to the ecu?
What if I have an ignition from a manual civic would that make a difference or would I still have to remove that pin?
The manual one doesn't have a pin
i have another car i have 2 coupes 1 auto and other manual so i dont have to do pin right? cause mine doesnt get locked cause i changed it into my manual civic for racing but now i need to tag a car but manual doenst have title auto does
it's probably something wrong electrically hard to tell with out looking it over myself
can i do this for eg years as well? i got a 95 and im confused if i can just re wire like you did
and do i have to change my ecu??
Jacob Cepeda honestly I do not know. the cars are pretty much the same. I would do a simple search on Google and see what you come up with or ask around your local Honda scene and see if anyone has the same setups your trying to achieve. I know the integra is the closest to the eg model so that might be a good starting point. here's some info I found.

Thanks alot for the reply I was wondering why. Will everything run okay without those wires plugged in?
@@LuisOrtega-kt3jv yes it will run fine as long as you do everything else I explained in the video
Yea I got a y8. I was so confused about the extra wires I had, thought I had the wrong ecu. And from what I learned my 98 ex auto is obd2a.
Many conflicting opinions; can you run the auto ecu with auto iacv and car will idle fine ? Until I get around to putting the manual ecu and 2 wire iacv in. Don't care about codes just care that it idles properly with auto ecu and auto 3 wire iacv after manual swap.
remain devoid it will run with auto ecu I'm pretty sure you already tried it by now
I did a manual swap on my Honda and my break lights aren’t working any advice?
did you swap out the brake pedal for a manual one? if yes put the brake sensor from your automatic assembly back in. you might have a bad sensor. or you could have damaged the wiring while swapping them out
Hey do i need to repin the the ecu? i got a new manual ecu thats non vtec for my car P2E
no, you might get engine codes tho if your motor is vtec
So you dont need to connect nothing to the clutch, you dont need to it's just optional right?
If you connect the wires like I showed then no you dont need to do anything to the clutch. Look at the previous video on ot and I show how to connect the wiring
@@adorno1010 thanks 😎
@@eg6290 no problem
So I recently convert my 00 honda civic lx from auto to manual but my car idles weird when i start it up in the morning. For example it idles from 1500 to 2500 rpm but once fully warmed up, the idle stay around 600 rpm. I did change the computer to a manual one but i just don't know what else it could be.
Alexander Rosales Watch "96 civic 4 door build part 6 iacv fluctuating idle" on TH-cam
th-cam.com/video/mvsjaxsFqJ4/w-d-xo.html
Try adjusting the idle screw located on the throttle body. Also try bleeding your coolant AND make sure you have no vaccum leaks
Make sure you have the right ecu also. 2000 lx have 190cc injectors. While ex have 240cc. It will run really rich if you have the wrong ecu.
Can you send me the link of the master cylinder on eBay u got please bro

Do you need a manual steering rack and pinion set?
No that stays the same
I did my swap and runs perfect but the starter is not getting a signal I can jump the starter and starts no issue just not with key. Please help
Did you jump the two wires together?
Sorry late reply but yes wires are jumped and still no signal :(
Was your civic an hx before you did the swap?
No it was an lx
I need to connect the reverse when I move the shift how to found
Luis Gracia how to find what?
I have a 2000 civic lx and I’m swapping to manual , I bought a p2E L32 from a 98 civic will that work ?
late response but the answer is no, you need a 99 or 00 ecu
i have a 95 civic ex 1.6l vtec. can i do everything that you did since its vtec? or do i have to do anything special since its vtec? and did you switch your ecu or still using the auto?
nevermind on the ecu seen that at the end
White Bread yeah the steps are pretty much the same you just need all the parts from an eg to do it
Did you have to switch out the intake manifold?
No
Help... so finish the swap and it runs and everything but my rpms are on 3000 in neutral. Hopefully some know what I can do
Loosen your throttle cable. Also your iacv is designed for a automatic best thing to do is a y8 manifold conversion

I have a 94 accord is it similar for all Honda’s or no???
yes the process will be similar the only real big difference is the accord uses shifter cables instead of linkage
Can this same swap happen with 2003 EX automatic ?
not sure
How much would it cost for me, to do the swap and a b16 engine swap ? I have a 99 ek auto
Marshal Sriram it all depends how you go about it. you can buy a crashed 99 or 2000 civic si and take everything off of it. or you can buy a regular civic change everything going over then buy the engine setup. the first suggestion would be the smartest and cheapest way to go about it.
Thanks bro, helped a lot
