i have been in the integra game for close to 2 decades. makes me happy to see people still giving these cars love. i have dont auto to manual swaps in the past and do not remember doing all that wiring., think i just left the neutral saftey switch attached to the harness and zip tied the switch so it was always on and just left it under the center consol.
I’m enjoying following this build. 2 things I gotta say though 1. Where did you get the manual gearbox and all the other stuff you need for the swap? 2. If you are investing this sort of effort into manual swapping a car like you are currently doing you should 100% invest in heat shrink wrap for your wires. It’s so much better than using duct tape. You can buy a full kit of the stuff from Bunnings for like $20. Makes it a more secure lock on the wires and guarantees no water/moisture will get in there and short anything out. Other than that keep up the good work boys
I bought the gearbox and all of the parts of another Integra DC4 that was being parted out, I am planing to use a heat proof wrap but I was so excited to get it all together to make sure it all worked that I just used it without for the moment. Thanks for the info👍
I was wondering what auto to manual swap mounts you went with, I'm currently not sure which one too order it looks like your transmission bolted right up
Will be included in the final manual swap video, up soon! It was very tight but you need to take master cylinder block of plate from firewall, install master cylinder and clutch pedal at the same time, tighten down and adjust biting point when done.
question - do you need to replace auto ecu to manual ecu? and do you need to replace auto intake manifold and auto Throttle body and auto iacv to manual?
If your car is OBD2 then yes you will need a manual ecu, but if your car is OBD1 then you can use the standard automatic ecu, the throttle body and intake manifold are the same on both auto and manual.
@@ValveHouseAU mine is obd2b we replaced the ecu to P06 rechipable, programmable but still not yet tune, then we also replaced the p2j intake and tb to a P08 manual iacv, idling now normal, wiring harness was also replaced, i hope it will run perfectly after tuning
I have a DA from 1990, will these videos help me with my manual swap? There's essentially no videos or information on DA's besides a couple forum threads.
They will most certainly help however there are slight variations obviously. The whole removal and installation of gearbox should be very similar and I would imagine the wiring to be similar too.
Trans was from an LS but we ended up using a em1 gearbox further down the track. Mounts are all stock aside from the gearbox mount which is a hasport auto to manual mount
I left the shifter electricals plugged in and it is left in P. This allows the var to be started, the shift solenoid plug needs to be grounded out I believe. I bought a manual swap plug for this swap.
Ran the stock ecu (p75) which we got a weird version of in Australia that allowed me to run it with no CEL. The car was 1999 although ran a obd1 harness and the ecu had obd1 plugs with obd2 internals

I know that’s a way you could’ve gone about it but I wanted the reverse lights to light up in reverse
Doing the swap at the moment in Cali vids came in clutch
Glad to hear!
@@ValveHouseAU thanks bro was wondering the same

Looks like they got the hasport auto to manual mount but I could be wrong
Correct, Hasport auto to manual mount. Looks mean and bolts right up. Make sure you get a manual T-Bracket as well.
Right on guys, currently doing this swap in Texas. 👌
Awesome! Run into any issues yet?
@@ValveHouseAU Tons haha but we got it sorted out. Keep it up guys, Salud!
Watched all 3 videos and I didn't see you guys install the clutch pedal lol how does that get in??

Hey nice build wondering if you used the same auto drive shafts when you swapped it?
Yep, sure did. Just need the manual half shaft but the other drive shafts you can use👍
Good content, I would crimp new pins into the connectors for a cleaner oem look
Do I need a manual starter? Or is that even a thing?? I’m having trouble getting my starter off my automatic tranny to bolt on….
You need a manual starter I believe, otherwise it won’t sit flush on the casing
Interesting videos. I'm planning on getting an Integra to restore but it's an auto. These videos will come in handy!
Great to hear!

Can you read codes with an obd2 scanner while the ecu is hooked up to an obd2b to obd2a harness
This specific version did not come with a obd2 port however I don’t see how it would work if it did unfortunately!
How you make millage work i have that issue what can i do to make it work in cluster ?? Trannys are same as one you have there
Mileage should stay the same, unless there is an issue with the speed sensor possibly
What mounts did you guys use and was the trans from a gsr
Trans was from an LS but we ended up using a em1 gearbox further down the track. Mounts are all stock aside from the gearbox mount which is a hasport auto to manual mount
Is the car left in N or P? For this swap? Because mines runs but it’s on auto ecu and left on N not P please help

@@ValveHouseAUi was wondering, what’s a manual swap plug?
Just bought a GS auto and I wanna swap it to manual so I jsut wanted to know if that new trans you putting in jsut an integra 5 speed?
Sure is, 5 speed S80 out of an Integra
What ecu did you end up running and what year was the integra?

mines an aussie 2000 aswell so sounds alot like what im going to have to do. noticed the plugs were different on the manual Ecus.. @@ValveHouseAU
Did you use your automatic transmission rear T bracket? Or did you have to use a mount from a manual tegi
You need a manual rear t bracket.
@@ValveHouseAU will I 100% need it? Or can I make shift spacers or something for the auto trans one to work
The holes don’t line up, it’s best if you have it.
i just finished part 1 and 2
Did you use the stock axels
Stock axles with manual half shaft
Did you use the automatic Axel's ?
Yes, automatic axles with a manual half shaft.
howd you get the pedal assembly in?

just picked up a jdm integra its auto ill pay anyone to swap it for me in connecticut i already have the parts
got a heated garage to work on it?
