    The pipe, I believe, represents the Maid of Erin, Irish. 1800's to 1900's, but I didnt find anything on a Thom Smith pipe for "Handyman",... however I'm pretty sure I've heard of that pipe before listening to Nic White, artist and Mudlark. Good finds ladies!! Love the glass bottle stoppers, as well. I always enjoy our outing with you, Katie and Fleur. Kate, you looked very comfy and cute in your shorts sweetie. Thank you for taking me along! xx

    Wow! That summer storm certainly exposed some treasures. Fleur, speaking of treasures, within the first thirty-five seconds of this video, when you excitedly focused on and retrieved the porcelain leg, I was busy focusing on the silver or pewter jewelry, (a badge or pendant attached to a chain?) located directly below the leg. Directly to the right of the leg, from where I sit, there looked to be a silver ring and more silver looking jewelry bits on the left? There is also a piece of paper tucked under the edge of the large rock to the right. Hopefully you can find that spot again. It certainly would be exciting. : ) It's always a privilege to tag along with you Fleur and Kate, on your fun-filled, relaxing journeys. You have enriched my heart and my life. : ) I am Grateful.

    My father was Hungarian, and pronounced the Tokaji wine region as TOE-kie
    I wonder if Smith’s Workman was a brand of tobacco.
    And finally, thank you for sharing your allotment with your viewers. In the US, community gardens have absurdly tiny plots. I honestly don’t know what the people who administer our community gardens think folks can grow in a four foot by eight foot plot. Your allotment looks to have ample size for both food and flowers. How fortunate you are!

    Thanks for another great video, I really enjoyed seeing what an "allotment " garden is, as I am unfamiliar with them. I think they would be called a "community " garden here (Vancouver Island) where there would be numerous plots, that one would rent for the year and grow whatever they like. Water and a raised bed is provided, but there wouldn't be space for a greenhouse. Yours looks charming! Also really enjoyed the roundup, that bottle seal must have been very exciting! ❤

    • @dasja9966
      @dasja9966 ปีที่แล้ว

      True, an allotment is quite similar to a community garden.
      Depending on the allotment a greenhouse might or might not be allowed.

    Hi Fleur and Kate, with all the excess small bottle stoppers you both have collected over time would it be an idea be to use them as pieces to make a marble solitaire game? With the bottle stoppers you could drill holes into a wooden board and use the stoppers as pegs. Just a thought. 🦘hello from Australia

    Thanks for the lovely video! I love my garden-it’s a total work in progress- and I so enjoyed seeing yours! I just wanted to tell you that the perennial sweet peas are considered an invasive species here in California. The annual ones are a favorite of mine. I grew lots of them this year, and I’ll be donating some of the seeds to my local library because they have a seed catalog. It’s a great way to get free seeds if yours has a similar program. And, the perennial sweet peas don’t smell like anything which is disappointing.
