On my 93 Ford and 99 Jeep Cherokee, both trucks have a factory molded hole on the bottom of the column cover so you can replace the cylinder without removing the cover.
Yep this one has a hole there as well. I prefer to pull the panel down because sometimes it’s tricky to find that pin to push and the panel usually drops very easy👍 thanks for the comment 👍😀
this truck was a 1996 and I got the keys from Amazon here is the link www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01G0X6AMW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 My son's truck is a 1994 and we did the same thing to his truck however the keys were different but I also got them from amazon here is the link for them www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008AENZ2S/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Just make sure you get the correct year model👍
@@ChristmanGarage awesome thanks! Mine is a 96 as well I'm in Canada so now that I got the part numbers from Amazon I'll go to the local stores and hope they have it cause the shipping won't get it here till April 18th
Nice! You make it looks so easy.. i did the same in a 1995 bronco un south America .. just a little more complicated because it have the power windows and locks... Also can you make a video of fixing the steering column in obs fords? Thanks alot also for the comedy!
Gonna replace my lock set on my 1996 F-150 Eddie Bauer tomorrow. This helps, I’m a little rusty.
Nice truck, I've got a 93 f250 with 395000.
A 94 f350 four-door with 230000.
And a 86 f350 flatbed with a Cummins in it.
I love my trucks
Same truck, different color. I wish you posted a link of the item. 🙂

Smooth... I bet you can fix anything on the side of the road with a hammer and duct tape
Not too bad I get lucky sometimes👍😂
I wish I would of watched your video before I paid a locksmith to make a key! lol! It would have been a lot cheaper! lesson learned.

*key won't come out and is clearly still locked for some reason*.....*proceeds to yank on it as hard as possible*....like wtf lol...
👍🤣🤣
Funny man
Thanks for the comment!👍
You could’ve just took the cylinders to a locksmith and had them Rekeyed for probably less than what you paid for the new locks
I have a 1996 f150. Just discovered from the factory the door lock cylinders are 1995 style. Not like the ones you have. Wtf ford?!?
That’s crazy but it doesn’t surprise me!?
Care for some gopher?
