@@matiasdevaglia4541 both. A lot better than Halloween Ends, Hellraiser or Scream 5. If you think any of those are scary at all etc. This makes them look PG. Plus… Nothing wrong with a blood filled gore fest for a slasher film. The new movies are more like pretentious drama love stories!
@@itzyaboybugz I have nothing against gore, but it doesn't scare me and if it's too over the top and constant I just get desensitized after a while. If that's all the film has to offer, I'll get bored quickly.
So you don't have to see the first Terrifier, but it wouldn't hurt to see it, for it will answer some of the obvious questions, as to why, and who is Art? You may also want to see All Hallows Eve. Art's entire persona is not that deep, but these two previous films will give you a glimpse into a certain character and how the madness all began.
Honestly I don’t think it matters either way. I’m not sure if All Hallows’ eve is cannon and it’s not as good as the terrifier series because someone else plays Art. I think If you start with the second film, the first film will seem like a prequel. Both films start from the same point in the timeline
It was ok, but it wasn’t as mysterious and memorable as the first one… It was a lot like an Indie Horror version of the Marvel Movies: It kept having to one-up itself, and had too many false endings to count. The magical/sci-fi stuff was also hit and miss, and didn’t really add anything to the story. Art saved it by being a likable character. 7/10 maybe 8/10
Sirs, as a old school gore fan, there is an intention to Art. If you actually don't find him funny and instead ridicule him then he will make art out of you. If you ever encounter Art the clown you better be genuinely amused.
Just watched it last night and I've gotta give credit where it's due. The gore, the acting, the levels of practical effects were downright incredible. It's such an homage to the 80s style of horror but adds a new flavor and doesn't get too campy. David Howard Thornton absolutely slayed the role, both comedically and demonically. The only con I had with it was the run time and just the absurdity of some things but other than that, insane movie and instant recommendation
I remember watching the first one and it was just pure violence, gore and nonstop killing. Can't say im a fan of this style of movie of violence for violence sake. I need a reason and purpose for it. I dont get off on just gore. But if you love gore, you will love these movies. It just doesnt do anything for me.
Terrifier2 was AWESOME! If you liked the Hatchet series with Victor Crowley you'd love Art. Terrifier 1 is important because it does stuff you don't expect. Art is the anti anti villain lol
I love Terrifier 2 but I feel like it's too hardcore for mainstream because they cut everything back mainstream but us horror fans that watch a lot of B films are used to that gore. I seen way bloodier slashers
The movie was absolutely incredible, just with the Art character alone, even though you have a bad-ass female character. I don't care what anyone says, Art the Clown is more terrifying than Pennywise the clown. TERRANCE OUT
I enjoyed the first edition of art then really liked terrifier when art got his own full movie ,art's third edition just chops the top ,so glad for its success cant wait for a fourth edition of comical gory violence hopefully art vs victor crowley
All Hallows Eve and Terrifier are brilliant! Love part 2 as well especially the clown girl but the film is not as dark as the other ones and has some silliness and art gets his but kicked by a girl lol
I saw it at theaters and it kicks ass cuz modern horror past yrs been weak, doll to ghost shit to pennywise, so weak even nuns stickmen etc weak! Art is a breath of fresh air
I'm surprised how the Halloween anthology film "All Hallows Eve" is barely mentioned or acknowledged, since that's where Art came from, before the Terrifier films.
This is not so much a Horror Movie, it's more of an endurance test as to how much Gore you can handle!!! 🤣 Didn't need to be 2 hours long but, Art is the New Horror Icon 💯
Watched terrifier 1 & 2 the other day, what an awesomely horrific experience!! Pennywise is a straight Punk compared to Art the Clown..."Just The Tip"🤣🤣
The budget was a little over $250,000, but the practical effects alone would have been well over a Million Dollars if the film studio contracted an SFX Lab to work on the movie, Damien Leone the Director did the Special Make-Up Effects himself and that's why the movie isn't several million which is still a peanut-sized budget, The Color of the Film is an intentional filter to give it that Grindhouse look, After Effects, Has that filter as well as Other post VFX programs
The only thing that's disturbing in this movie is that the final girl's father had some kind of an vision that his daughter dress like a sexy angel warrior that kills Art the clown.
Yeah. Damien Leone is an insanely efficient director with a low budget. It’s really impressive. Even Terrifier 1 was made for only 35k, which is absolutely insane to me.
I'd say, you probably should see the first movie before seeing T2. T2 picks up right after the first movie. There's a reason why Art was in the hospital at the beginning of T2.
I don't like seeing people being burtalized in real life, obviously. I know it's a movie with amazing practical effects and I loved it. Art is everything you want in a modern slasher; brutal, hilarious, and kinda petty. The demon girl may be creepier than Art. I like how only one of the women ran into a dead-end, it wasn't every victim saying "please". I loved the final girl and her costume. And the brother-sister-mom dynamic was believable. My only complaint is the story, which a lot of us who are fans of All Hallows Eve and the first Terrifier wanted to know more about. I wanted an explination where this asshole clown comes from. It wasn't just the gore. I wanted some lore.
Okay, seriously THANK YOU! You have cleared something up for me at last! Before this video, I had no idea that "Splatter" even existed as a genre of film. But it makes so much sense: Rob Zombie makes "lite-Splatter" movies! Which is why I've never liked them. They seemed to be all about the kills and not at all about any "story", and I hated them for it! Still do, but at least I understand where they're coming from. And now I also know that I won't at all enjoy this. You have enlightened me to the ways of the Splatter.
The movie was too long imo. The effects are great, but it's a bit of a chore to watch. The first Terrifier has a kill in it that's one of the most brutal I've seen. This one comes close -- salt on wounds -- but that was a bit too over the top goofy.
I'm not a fan of gore-porn movies movies like Hostel or sAw, necessarily. Not because of the gore anyway. I love these Terrifier movies though, because Art is so charismatic. My wife and I have a blast, laughing and cringing at Art's antics. For us Art the clown makes all the difference compared to your typical spatter movies.
Look, I get it if it's not your thing. I've been watching splatter films since I was 12 but if someone says the movies are gross, etc and it's not for them I get it. To call the people who love these movies sick is a very low blow and not true at all. Everyone at the showings has been friendly and the film makers are some of the nicest people I've seen. It's your channel and you do you but calling anyone names is wrong. You're here to criticize the movie, not the people who watch them.
Michael Myers always been & Always be my favorite. Art The Clown has become my favorite as well. Am not a Gore Fan. Terrifier Movies are the only Gore movies I will watch as long is Art The Clown is the movie . Iam looks forward for Terrifier 3 I can't wait .
So I saw this movie almost 2 weeks ago now having seen the first a couple days before that. All I can say Korey is that you can skip it. You don't need to see the first. It's really bad especially compared to this. But I heard how well it did for a crowd funded and self funded movie that I wanted to see the first and this and after the first I almost didn't wanna see the second. The second is much much better and has a story and some character to it. So see the first at your own risk lol

@@matiasdevaglia4541 It's literally all gore and live torture scenes. I had to stop halfway through. Too gory for me
@@matiasdevaglia4541 both.
@@tacohammer7023 that's what I thought. I'll just get grossed out at the beginning, then I'll get desensitized and finally I'll get bored.
Got to 10 minutes and i was good.
This is a film you dont recommend to people because they'll always look at you differently after.
❄️❄️ 😂jkjk🍻
Lol! I almost made the mistake of inviting a group of friends to see it with me. Thankfully, no one was able to make it.
yeah its fucked
The second has a story they are building.
Go back to ur weak the nun and pennywise
absolutly loved this movie. got some merch on the way, preordered the blueray and gonna go see it again this weekend
Terrifier2 was AWESOME!
If you liked the Hatchet series with Victor Crowley you'd love Art. Terrifier 1 is important because it does stuff you don't expect. Art is the anti anti villain lol
Victor Crowley will destroy Art.
I love Terrifier 2 but I feel like it's too hardcore for mainstream because they cut everything back mainstream but us horror fans that watch a lot of B films are used to that gore. I seen way bloodier slashers
Art the clown is a horror icon now.
Art is already a horror icon!
This is what you can do with Rated R Horror. PG-13 Horror doesn't make sense.
this movie isnt rated R. Its unrated and would be NC-17 if were rated.
Glad there's a full review on the main channel. Very good film and still in theaters!!
Art the Clown makes pennywise look like Ronald Mcdonald in comparison
Actually the story is what makes this so good - it not only satisfies the gorehounds, it does have a pretty damn interesting story.
Yo, who else is a believe that art is their dad
@@thebasedone2621 I do. It definitely makes sense. Especially because only Art, Sienna, and Johnathan are able to see the little clown girl.
Watched terrifier 1 & 2 the other day, what an awesomely horrific experience!! Pennywise is a straight Punk compared to Art the Clown..."Just The Tip"🤣🤣
I wasn’t expecting you guys to review this and I’m happy you did. I saw it in theaters and loved it
Me and my buddy went to see it in theater. It was great. I laughed through a lot of it 🤣
The budget was a little over $250,000, but the practical effects alone would have been well over a Million Dollars if the film studio contracted an SFX Lab to work on the movie, Damien Leone the Director did the Special Make-Up Effects himself and that's why the movie isn't several million which is still a peanut-sized budget, The Color of the Film is an intentional filter to give it that Grindhouse look, After Effects, Has that filter as well as Other post VFX programs
The only thing that's disturbing in this movie is that the final girl's father had some kind of an vision that his daughter dress like a sexy angel warrior that kills Art the clown.
HOLY SHIT!!!They did all this with $250,000?!
Reminds me of how Scream had revitalised the Slasher Genre in 1996
I don't like seeing people being burtalized in real life, obviously.
What Art the Clown is...hasn't been explained
$250,000 budget, and as of today $8.9 million grossed at theaters. And the director did 99% of practical effects so they saved money on that aspect
Fun fact: when I first discovered the Terrifier movies , I thought Art the Clown was a Nun or something based on his looks 😂😂
It only cost 250k to make and it's made 11mill 👏🏿 congratulations to them
I’m watching it right now. He gave that girl the business in the bathroom death scene. Damn!!!
Lol@ “What is Art’s motivation?”
I would watch you guys review Terrifier 1!!
Favorite film right now. It just feels so new.
The way he killed the girl in the bedroom was crazy.
Real horror is coming back.
I don't watch or enjoy torture porn (ie the Saw sequels). But I legitimately enjoyed the first Terrifier movie. Art is an iconic horror character.
How can you not like saw but enjoy this it’s torture porn to the extreme lol.
@@Anthonycheesman33 right? It makes no sense at all haha
Surprised he didn’t talk about the Allie bedroom soon….Christ that was insane
One of the beat kill scenes in horror films is the chainsaw scene in the 1st Terrifier.
Art used a hacksaw for THAT kill. A chainsaw would've been quicker. 😄
Korey I'll take getting killed by any of the other slashers even the Creeper than be killed by Art he probably put the Joker the shame.
Already out on Blu Ray in the UK.
Martin just sitting there like "Yea...alright...cool...that's crazy" so uninterested and just here for support. LMAO
Korey's sick voice makes me think of that episode of Family Guy when Peter gets a cold and Lois is super turned on by his deep voice. I'm Lois 💀
