Feel like Cole’s personality type is the perfect way to measure how good an interviewer is. He appears to be a quiet, humble, run of the mill dude till you realize he has stories from years of operating at a world class, tier 1 level. Great job mike and grateful for you opening up Cole - you’re a good dude.

Pretty much a Tier1 guy, no chest beating, no bragging, and honestly he doesn't seem very comfortable answering questions about the things he has done or seen so is reserved and analytical before answering. That's scary! ha!

There’s SO much sacrifices made by these warriors. This man is one of a kind. I can’t thank him enough for sharing his life experiences. So many parts of this brought real sadness . The thought of your three year old boy, the sensitive areas talking about RED wings. The flowers to the wives. Just intensely personal moments. The Deisal story and the dogs being harnessed for jumping out of planes. Interesting all of it. The going to court story is just reprehensible. Love these stories. Thank you for your service.

I wonder if people understand how lucky we are to be able to listen to an operator who started off using iron sights and graduated to red dots etc. The amount of knowledge is just unreal. And to be able to listen to it and learn. We are beyond lucky to have access to this amount of knowledge.

Mike, you really are one of my most favorite podcast hosts. I love how prepared you are with your questions, especially the fact you give these veterans a chance for us as a listener to know them outside of what they did for our country. One thing I hear most from veterans, especially a former Seal, is they want to be known for who they are, not just what they did in their former job. So, my hats off to you for another wonderful podcast. Cole was awesome to listen to. His life stories, from his childhood, to his time in service, to how his job affected his home life, to his kids, to his now happily ever after with his wife, kids and awesome post-military career, makes me feel proud of him and I've never met the guy. I had to listen to this podcast twice because I didn't want to miss anything Cole had to say. He seems like he'd be fun as shit to hang out and have beers with and listen to anything he has to say. All around good dude. Thanks for having one of the best podcasts out there. Thank you and Cole for your service to our country. God Bless you both in all that you do in this life.

Great Interview, Ive been curious about Cole's story since GBRS has come around and DJ did Shawn's show. Good work on this one Mike. Getting Cole to answer questions with more than a yes or no seemed to be a challenge. He was obviously a bit uncomfortable talking about stuff he hasnt been able to publicly talk about for close to 20 yrs. You asked questions the right way and worked hard to get him at ease and to open up a little....

Mike I will always appreciate your deadpan humor. I’m just a blue collar civilian dude but I’ve got a good friend that did 20+ years in special operations. I swear you are the Texas counterpart to him. Both of ya are just laid back dudes. But yall don’t shy away from the heady philosophical conversations when they come up. Appreciate ya. Cheers

Great interview style, Mike. Have watched a few interviews w Cole, and he's very guarded. You didn't let him get off with an easy answer. Asked 2nd level questions that got him to open up more, and give some more color on questions you know the audience would like to hear. First time listener. Will def be coming back. Thanks, Mike.

Another amazing one Mike. I swear between you and Shawn you two are the tip of the spear on these deals. Nobody can touch y’all. It’s so cool to hear from Cole as he’s usually attached to his swim buddy who typically takes the lead and Cole is always the consummate quiet Pro. Love the Diesel story, wish we had pics haha. Anyhow thanks again Mike we appreciate what you do so damn much. Only thing I’d add is to tell Cole to order more shit because every damn time GBRS does a drop and you don’t have your phone up your ass their gonna be sold out in 30 minutes and your gonna be assed out. Godspeed to you and your family.
