There was something so alluring about this scent, mysterious. But also, he smoked like a chimney, so the combo of this scent and cigarettes probably made it smell even more intriguing.
Disappointed at something that costs $35 vs $250 for the equivalent volume? I've had Galloway and I'm not impressed. Performance is also fairly poor in my opinion(3hrs on my skin). I've never smelled Lalique's White, but I can't imagine it's terrible and it would have atleast similar performance.
Thumbed up the video but I definitely don't agree with your take on this one. Luckily I bought it long before there were any comparisons to Galloway being made. I find it's unique enough for me to enjoy but it still gets noticed positively. And it's well-priced!
There is a problem with recent lalique fragrances as we try them initially. The same perfume after a year (maseration or whatever) it takes a complete u turn and smells good with more depth and increase in longevity. I had this issue with almost all of their fragrances.
Definitely a great fragrance in my opinion and to me it smells more natural than Galloway even though they dont smell alike. Generally Parfums de Marley fragrances dont smell at all natural and for sure are overhyped. I like the simplicity of this and that pencil shaving note that its present from the opening till far drydown. There is something in Galloway that puts me off like most of their releases. This takes me back at my school days before summer holiday. Lemon trees everywhere here in my country and the pencil shavings smell is beautiful. This is made to be light and simple my friend.
I agree with U. The comparison between Galloway vs Lalique White is unfair in this case. Lalique White was released in 2008 and cost around 45-55 $ (125 ml). Galloway was released in 2013 and cost around 300 $ in fragrancex in the same volume...
I got this one for 16 euros... To be honest it's decent, refreshing, I got a lot compliments. I use an unscented cream plus this, aprox 5-6 hours with decent 1,5-2 hours projection. I take with me a small 2ml decant, past 2 hours spray again 5-6 times and boom, I'm set for the day...
I've been watching your videos for a long time and you've become one of my 3-4 favorite reviewers. We share a similar taste, I also prefer classic fragrances like you. This one I always wanted to blindbuy, but after your review I think I won't do that. Thanks for the great and detailled explanation.
Got this today, and i feel this is the most accurate review of this fragrance by far! Really hoping the performance picks up at least a little bit. I too don't get to bent outta shape and performance is the scent is good enough, but i have to work hard to even smell this.
i blind bought it in summer of 2017 what a disappointment ... what a blast of pepper in the introduction .... and then it smelled metalic like dentist´s tool .. absolutely the smell of dentist´s office
Excellent review. A disappointing fragrance imo. If you like smelling white pepper from the jar, then there is a chance you may like may like LW. Should be renamed Lalique White Pepper. Another blind buy disaster.

It's a really simplistic, beautiful and natural smelling scent and simplicity doesn't mean lack of quality.

👍Of course! You can't compare a 20€ fragrance with a 200+€ fragrance. For the price it's a super good spring and summer fragrances

Spot on. It smells pleasant; definitely not offensive. It just doesn't perform at all. I get no projection. Lalique White is a very timid fragrance.

Thoughts on issey miyake?
I've only tried L'eau D'Issey to be honest and thought it wasn't bad but too sharp. I have to explore the brand more.
Nuit D'Issey for fall and winter, Super Majure D'Issey for summer, and L'eau D'Issey Intense kinda whenever!
