Well I think what happened is this. We have another designer house getting back at a niche house for copying them. Lalique White 2008 release is definitely close to Galloway by PDM which came six years later in 2014. I feel that Lalique is getting their payback.
I bought this at £40 recently, it's a solid buy and smells amazing. I agree about the longevity but often I'll wear more than one scent in a day so it's no problem.
It's about time someone did a more recent review on WnB by Lalique! I absolutely love this fragrance and for good reason, cuz it does have similarities to Layton but just a tad sweeter. I've been watching for the price to drop on this one for 6 months now and I found it on sale for $46 finally a little over a month ago and then I was all over it. I had got 2 free 2ml decants from Lalique when I called them 6 moths ago when I first heard about this one on Gents Scents with Ash and they were more than glad to mail me a couple of samples of it and then I absolutely fell in love with it. When I heard it was going to be similar to Layton I just had to try it. Trust me, if you do like Layton in any way this is easily blind buy worthy especially since they finally have it for a discounted price. Love it, Lalique nailed this one! 💯🔥 Just FYI Sebastian, I actually wrote Layton's SWEETER mistress with the white pencil that was included. Thought that was pretty funny! Lol
Been waiting for this review thanks Sebastian. Definitely going to get it and you highlight Ombre Noire, need to hunt that down. I do think that Lalique is one of the most underrated fragrance houses, they really do quality work.

Eventually, I plan to try Lalique "White" and this newer one too. So far, I own and enjoy "Lalique Pour Homme EDP", "Encre Noire", "L'Insoumis", and some of their other releases too. Recently, I ordered Z&V "This Is Him", but I haven't tried it yet.
I ordered a sample of This is Him, but when I smelled it I couldn't smell much. I'm not sure if it's a bad sample or my nose is anosmic or what. I just couldn't smell much from it, very light hints of it.
Blind bought it and it's 🔥. Not quite layton but close. I'll wear it when layton would be too dense. It's slightly more powdery and for sure lighter than layton. Has a little peppery note after dry down as well.
Love Lalique White it’s a close comparison to PDM Galloway for sure ,so it looks like they going after Layton now which is great they did a superb job on Galloway so it’s gotta be thumbs for this one 👍.Question Sebastian as you brought up claiming prizes did you receive correctly my email response for the Jazeel winner ,I sent a few day ago? In Europe Lalique Black&White costs 100Euro for 125ml, Layton costs 218 Euro for 125 ml, I mean its pretty expensive in Europe than obviously against 50$ in the USA. I am not sure about the european strategy with Lalique, but Lalique White can be found with max 25 Euro for 125ml. But I like the bottles thou.

I like the sound of Laligue Ombre Noir and it's great to know the perfumer created Bizarre Brandy I grabbed that from your X-mas video on sale at the Molten Brown outlet for a great deal , what a terrific fragrance ! Really wish that Lalique would redesign that bottle. The original Pour Homme is kinda cool with the lion head inlay, (they got rid of it in the new Equus) but the concave glass, cheap cap and plastic plate under the atomizer never really did it for me. Bit difficult to hold. Very glad they don't skimp on the juice though. That's where I draw the line. 😄
@@ThePerfumeGuy True say. Although The Lalique Group also does the fragrances for Bentley (and now Jaguar too), and the Bentley bottles kick some serious butt.
Just found this at a site for $44. Only one site had it for discount. I think they only had it because it’s listed screwy in their system. Everyone else sold out except full msrp

I love it just got it 2 weeks ago.....I feel the performance is not an issue. If you compare it to layton, its nuts layton goes off the charts. For me, LWIB as a standalone is above average.
Wow...I looked up the notes - The notes in White in Black and Layton are sooo close! Both are created by solid perfumers. I mean...I'm gonna get me a bottle of White in Black because yeah - I'll admit, I would rather spend $50 than $250-350 for a very similar fragrance! Oh, now - Layton is considered Unisex but White in Black is considered "masculine"...Is White in Black any more "masculine" than Layton? I bought this about a month ago, but haven't gotten to give it a real full wearing yet. I like it, but the lack of projection is a little annoying. Still not bad tho

Darn it. Someone below said it's not at discounters in Switzerland but then you are saying it's not anywhere. It's funny when Encre Noire A L'Extreme launched when it launched I was traveling in Germany and France and I couldn't find it anywhere. I was in Dusseldorf train station and I saw it there at a perfume shop should have bought it but I said it's going to be everywhere. Nope! Didn't see it anywhere else. So I ended up in Paris nowhere to be found by the Lalique Boutique and that is where I bought it full retail. LOL!

Amazon Germany does not have it, Primor in Spain doesn't have it either, some physical stores that have webpages also don't have it. This was exactly the same as when it launched. I also looked it up back then, nowhere to be found.
I wonder who their distributor is in Europe or different countries in Europe. Their distributor here also in connection to Lalique distributes Bentley and also now Brioni but this Lalique White In Black and also Ombre Noir never made it to them so they are one off fragrances perhaps not distributed by the distributor here and the combination of Lalique, Bentley and Brioni?

Ombré noire is an online exclusive from Lalique now so it’s still available
This is definitely similar to Layton, but it’s not as loud and doesn’t have that strong menthol opening, so it’s more my speed.
I enjoy very much ombre noire, Karine also did Eau des Bavx from L Occitane! Very good cheapie!

I'd say it's a little more unisex. I think Layton is in the masculine bottles but unisex Fragrances so you're good with White In Black! :)

Layton smells super cheap to me. Smells like a Lacoste or other cheapie fragrance. The Exclusif tho, is amazing
