Just wanted to say I made this for my mom, and substituted butter for oil to make it dairy free, and it worked beautifully! It got more of like a meringue top than Donals, but maybe that had to do with my egg whipping, haha. I used equal parts sunflower, rapeseed and coconut oil.

This one is actually an Italian cake called 'Caprese' (it is named after the beautiful island of Capri) and It is indeed the best chocolate cake ever ;) Well done! ;)
I sometimes make a chocolate cake quite similar to this recipe! I don't add hazelnut flavour though, instead i spread some apricot jam on the cake before adding the ganache! It works really well together *yummy* But I think I might have to give your recipe a go as well :)
