Thanks, I bought a pair this week and have paired them with my Marantz 2325 and my Denon 57L. They are in my smallish home office and even in the ears of Polk loving 63 year old, ( I still have my first Polks , a set of Monitor 11"s I bought in 1978) I have to say, these are amazing. Resource heavy I was told by Crutchfield, but thus far several days in, I am VERY impressed.

Sound laidback and warm...a real American speaker (which I like)

Decent Bookshelf speaker. Now how 'bout the SDA L800 in the back. Those I haven't heard yet. Reminds me of Polks 80's SDAs.

I asked them about them but they said they were too much speaker for the room and wasnt demoing them which is a shame

@@PursuitPerfectSystem more likely reason is that they didn't want to move 60kg of speaker each time someone asked to hear them.

I've had my Polk LSi15 speakers for 17 years, and have no desire to upgrade. They're so well balanced, detailed and dynamic, I'd have to spend 2-3 times as much to get a small improvement. They're such an underrated speaker because of the 'Polk' name.

Not bad, I sense some under power issues in the low end. Could be the personality of the speakers. They seem to be struggling to track the music in a way that points to the speaker directly. That could be the toe in reason that seems strange as the presentation should be for a group of people.

once again it amazes me when people make negative comments of the sound when listening to a pair of speakers through the compressed audio on TH-cam.

@@markrowe8824 I know, it's terrible. I set here at the house all day for years now hearing all the different demo's and music and listening to roon, tidal, and qobuz and thinking of what sounds better - why - not many other ways to hear these demo's. I can tell most of the time what I am hearing - pretty confident. I've been an audiophile for many years and have multiple of everything. I have tested my hearing by picking out the strad out of six violins on utube the first try. I have five violins of my own at present. I know the sounds that I hear - pretty confident.

@@manardh7387 Multiples of everything? are you talking real hifi as in pre 2000? when all the big companies world wide got it all right from the start. 90% of todays hifi is all about the design followed by a hefty price tag. I mix with a group of audiophiles and we´ve had bought and tested all sorts, we struggle to walk in to a hifi store/show to find something that has the wooow factor sound wise.

Marantz are not the choice for these speakers they need to be pushed more harder.
Since Polk comes in D&M group they had just pared for this reason.
