Ame has put a lot of work into organising additional resources and and supporting other talents on top of her own activities, and if she's decided "I can't do both of these, and I feel more suited to the BTS stuff", this move would make sense. I have no idea of if that's what happened here, but it would fit.
That does seem like what's happening, since she says her reasons aren't personal, that rules out health issue, and with the upcoming formation of HololiveUSA, it seems logical she's taking up a position there.
Maybe she'll be helping out at the US branch of Cover Corp.
Amelia has always been a supporting character. She literally set up a motion capture suite and did the backstage stuff for the unofficial HoloCouncil 3D debut using the chibi avatars as Bubba.

Ame just gave an update on her video. She is NOT joining staff but she will be joining in some events in the future.. I still don't know what to make of this. I guess it's not a "real graduation" per se.
Probably working as an independent contractor where Cover can go to in order to help out with various projects similar to say Kanauru except in a more "official" capacity more likely.
Another speculation but she probably just didn’t find enjoyment to the normal “idol activities” and streaming anymore but still values what she created as a vtuber and doesn’t want it to end just completely. It’s likely a case of being burned out.
So it’s more like a very very long hiatus between each appearance is what I’m getting.

this is what all myth feels like honestly, I feel like all of the myth our OG oshi's are all semi-graduate and just doing some Idol and studio stuff for the new gens. If they are on hire for stuff I would like to apply so our oshi can focus in streaming.

Height of covid, i never felt more alone, more isolated, all of my friend activities stopped and i had nothing to look forward to
Then, i heard a familiar voice. The "A" echoed in my head, reminding me of a better time, of something i really liked, and it introduced me to new voices i would grow to love also.
I dont really watch many vtubers anymore, but i owe alot to holo myth, they gave me something to look forward to, and saved my life in a way
I hope the future is bright for ame and that she thrives in whatever non-talent role she will be in

its been 4 years since our boredom in 2020 was aliviated by vtubers. Now that the market is saturated, the industry changed and they undertandably want or need to focus on other personal or professional activities

Well, she already stated that she won't be part of the staff of Hololive. But she will be participating in a different Hololive Project. I think she is just telling us that she will be in a indefinite hiatus. Also there's no any "graduation" in the statement

I imagine it's possible they've confirmed the "cease of activities" part but haven't necessarily confirmed what exactly her position as staff is. If Cover is opening a full english branch then it's likely they would wait for that to get sorted out before making any sort of statement on what she's going to be doing.

And I totally forgot her influence outside the Holo sphere… It really is a sad day but I know eventually, someday, someone would have to kind of depart 😢It makes sense with how big and important she is, she’s more switching to a behind the scenes role, so it isn’t like she’s gone or taboo. I don't think she will have much of a cameo because she will retire as Amelia Watson, technically. If she is ever credited for her work, it will probably be under a different name entirely, and we may never know unless other talents say something.
Edit: She doesn't retire the name from the Hololive website I just read - "Any future activities that involve Amelia Watson will be announce through official social media and other channels."

We all know that Ame is an absolute wizard with the tech stuff. And we've always joked about Ame going on "hiatus" whenever a new generation debuts because she's actually working the tech stuff behind the scenes for them. I'd imagine it would be pretty difficult to juggle both streaming and working the tech stuff behind the scenes. Ame stepping back from her streaming activities to concentrate on the tech stuff for Hololive just makes sense.

The way the worded it too, it's kinda weird. Maybe it's the language barrier or something but saying stopping all activities while still being affiliated is weird. It's not an indefinite hiatus because that's only not streaming and can still tweet etc. While stopping all activity usually comes with graduation announcement

For a long time i've felt she's been more excited about behind the scenes production stuff than doing the streams so this sounds like a good move for her, she may have even created this new position in the company herself :P.

Actually impressive from her. It cannot be described as a promotion or demotion, but rather an opportunity that's only available to someone who *wants* it. It implies either an Ame who just hates her job and needs a change, And/OR an Ame who sees problems within the company and would like to fix them herself. Given that her reputation has always been for being a pioneer on a number of fronts, the latter seems more likely. It basically implies an Ame who took a bullet for everyone else, said "fine I'll do it myself," and instead of just abandoning the company, she wants to fix it's issues that she grew so sick of.
If I've hit the mark here, then Ame is absolutely a person worthy of respect. It can be comparatively easy to see a flaw or broken system, complain about it and distance yourself from it as a result, but it's comparatively very hard to decide that you are fully capable of helping to fix that problem by working hard and dedicating yourself to make it what you want.
Yeah I also see problems within the business side of Hololive, and if I see it, then Ame saw it earlier and may actually fix this this mess.

I'm making a guess here, with what we have available now from Ame and Cover Corp. it feels like she is experiencing Burnout. I've seen burnout happen to a LOT of different streamers and content creators. It feels like the biggest part of this are the fact that she is deciding to step away from streaming and social media but is not "graduating" in the traditional sense is why I think burnout might be a factor. Burnout victims tend to just step away from the thing causing it without fully quitting. Taking some time away to get some fresh perspective and deciding what path they wanna take going forward. Ame recently stated she won't be staff but will appear every now and then further supports this in my opinion. She doesn't wanna fully leave the role of Amelia Watson just yet. She might still come to this conclusion later, or maybe not who knows. It will come down to what she does now in her off time, what avenues she chooses to explore. And since she says we will see her appear again in future events and projects at her own discretion I'm sure we'll be kept informed on her journey thru that. In the end, regardless of what it is going on, I hope she finds strength in her choices and her journey to keep moving forward. I'll be honest, I got legit scared of another graduation especially for a group as solid as HoloMyth. To see her take a different path kinda makes me feel better. Struggling and hard times do not always have to lead to just straight up leaving or quitting or graduating. Hopefully other fans learn to understand this and we maybe see a new chapter be born of this :3

It's actually not that much of a surprise. Amelia was the Myth member that I watched the least. She always struck me as more of the technical minded, behind the scenes type as opposed to someone taking center stage. Of course she'd be the one to step away first. I'm glad that both she and the company have evolved to the point that there's a better role for her now. She's going to do great.
I feel like many of us guessed she might take her career in this direction. It makes a lot of sense based on how she's helped the company with work outside the activities of a streamer.

Honestly can't say I'm surprised even though it kinda hurts to see someone who has been so influential in vtubing in general quit. But she's been working on a lot of behind the scenes stuff and worked with the company in many ways that weren't directly linked to her vtubing activities, and in a way she almost seemed to prefer that.
I'm happy to see that she still wants to work within the industry but at the same time this feels like the end of an era. I hope she has a lot of fun and fulfillment with her new job
Lately I’ve been thinking about how someone in EN will probably graduate within the next couple years, but I did not expect it to be this soon.
I still have a strong idea out of EN: Gura(graduate), Kiara(Terminated), Mumei(graduate), Kroni(Terminated), and Shiori(Graduate) will probably not be with the company in the next few years.

It's a very weird "graduation". We don't know if "affiliate" means that Ame is going behind the scenes or they're keeping the _character_ Ame online while the person behind Ame is no longer with Hololive.
It's also more confusing what Yagoo tweeted out lol. Yagoo says Ame and Hololive may work together again in the future, but then also sends her off like Ame is graduating. So it kind of seems like the _person_ Ame is taking an indefinite hiatus and have the _option_ to come back.

Everything is very vague, which is good, but also sucks lol. Ame is seemingly moving on on good terms though.
Because she did not graduate yet more like she will not be active in her main channel and X/twitter. She exists like those most vtubers who work behind the scene in V corp.
I especially heard that she is good at tech and She had said herself, I believe in her 1st year on stream, she has more fun behind the scenes. I think it might have been on her charity stream. She was doing it to see if it was possible for other members to do it.
I would assume she will either work for the new branch that Cover is making in the US or she will do personal projects and from time to time Cover will invite her to certain special occasion similar to how freelancers are contracted for each project separately .

Did you even bother to listen to Ame's announcement? She specifically said she will NOT be graduating, just stepping back from the Vtubing aspect. See, this is how crap gets started by people failing to do their research.
Really not a lot of precedence for how long people stick around in Hololive and it'd be unreasonable to expect anyone to be there forever. Still, really sad to see a member of the original EN generation go, though I'm glad Ame's still allowed to pop in when she wants. Wish everyone who had gone before had made a similar arrangement.
Compared to others, this was pretty short notice. While i do like hololive, she was one of the few i consistantly watch. Till another one catchs my attention, guess bye to hololive.

To everyone, shes not graduating, it would have straight up said it. But no, while not streaming, she isn't leaving the company. She'll be working behind the scenes, she just no longer will be Amelia Watson, so while technically she wont be leaving, she will still stay
I think the way the announcement was phrased is that Ame will still be a thing, but not as a streamer/idol anymore. Amelia Watson will still be in Hololive, just not as a talent, rather a staff member as the most likely scenario. Still somewhat uncertain, but that's just my two cents.

@@ChaosBlueNathansome gave already confirmed she will be staff. Looking at the staff we know, to my knowledge, they lack a senior Tech support (like the leader of Tech support) so something tells me Cover needed that position and Ame decided to take it
I mean honestly, as long as Ame is still physically in Hololive and is "affiliated" as stated in the announcement, the news isnt too heartbreaking imo. Just sad we won't see her in collabs or just streams in general anymore; Maybe cameos/appearances every now and then, but who knows.

One of the most creative people in the whole Vtubing world and the reason Vtubing became so successful in the West. According to her, she will still be part of some future events (not sure in what way). I will miss her so much. Seeing a Myth member go is incredibly sad. I knew this day would come, but it doesn't make it easier. Ame is a legend.
While i havent really watched any of the Myth girls in a good while im still kinda bummed about this despite ame not actually leaving holo and just moving on from streaming to behind the scene/staff things.
Holo myth is the sole reason i got into the vtuber rabbit hole all the way back in 2020.
i still watch their first myth collab from time to time when i need a pick me up.. Ame really helped to make Vtubing what it is today..

If we think about her skills, it makes way more sense that she is going to be working behind the scenes. Something like that happens all the time, you work and found something that fits your personality better, then you will automatically think about change
