I don't get why you would want to consume raw milk. There are literally no benefits in comparison to pasteurized milk which has the big benefit of not making you dangerously ill.
Personally, the fact that I can pasteurize raw milk myself, and I can physically see there isn’t puss and blood in the milk that has been bleached due to high volume production and borderline animal abuse is a major bonus. But that’s just me.
Konrad, many people who are lactose intolerant are able to drink raw milk because all the helpful enzymes that aid in digesting it have not been killed by pasteurization. Or, so I've read.
I've been binge watching these and just now realized that the editor edits the sound when Brad shakes things 😂 I'm over here thinking he could be performing jingle bells with those jars!
In India, with its warm weather the cream gets cultured in good 6 to 8 hours.. and the residual yogurty buttermilk is also not wasted. Add salt and cumin powder and it becomes a yogurt drink.
I was actually wondering about this, because in Australia (where I live) it’s too hot In my kitchen to leave the cream out for 3 days, but 6 hours would be perfect. I’ve just made regular butter, I’ve never tried adding a culture before.
I've been watching cooking shows since i was 3 years old. emeril, molto mario, good eats, 30 minute meals, barefoot contessa, etc. this show gives me that feel good learning experience the food network lacks nowadays and has that quirky 21st century twist. cool editing, relatable and genuine host and great concept of using living cultures and ingredients to enhance your culinary wisdom. cheers to you, bon appetit. give this man another show or a second season PLEASE.
"Hey, I heard you got some raw milk." "If I did, how much would you need?" "A gallon." "What, are you a cop or somethin'? Yo, Vinny! I smell bacon. You smell bacon?"
Y’all. THIS VIDEO IS DANGEROUS! This is the video that started us on our journey of fermentation love and homemade butter love!💕 Was browsing in the internets, found this awesome video, got hooked, and now we have a farm…and a cow…and our own fermentation station☺️😂💙 Thank you, Brad! :) :)
watching these and then the newer episodes, it's amazing how the editor has evolved the style over the last 3 years. and these were pretty good to begin with
I’ve been binging Brad just because he’s so great. I think I’ve watched pretty much all hai videos and this might be the first one I consider making haha
It's stupid that raw milk is still illegal. The farm that I buy mine from under the table tests their product more than twice as much as the milk that gets sold in grocery stores and if there's anything wrong with any of the milk then they test all the cows and stuff. There's nothing bad about drinking raw milk if its tested properly.
weaselmaster98 because responsible farming like that takes more effort and likely costs and people are lazy and cheap. I'd totally have raw if I could find it.
I hear comments like this in a lot of different fields. Oh its tested so it is ok surely. It's actually quite a naive and ignorant opinion. Tested for what? What is it not tested for? What gets through the gaps? If it was so simple to just say oh its tested then it must be safe then we would certainly be doing that instead of pasturising the milk. Theres no "Big Pasturisation" conspiracy at foot here ;-). There's also a lot of misinformation spread by the Organic Mafia that somehow pasturised milk is the devils drink and you should avoid it. They are devotees to the naturalistic fallacy and should be dismissed like the cultist zealots they are. Often testing has pretty large blind spots. I have similar coversations on testing of blood for donations and the two areas have similar blind spots. A lot of the tests involve testing for large organisms that are easy to detect such as bacteria or fungus. Viruses are typically detected second hand by actually looking for antibodies against the virus. Problem is with looking for antibodies is that they take time to build up to a measureable amount. So its entirely possible for your milk/blood supply to have a virus in it and the tests will show all clear.
I like raw milk and have never gotten sick from drinking it. I don't care if it isn't perfectly safe. I once got food poisoning in France & from eating out in the US. Neither experience has encouraged me to live under a rock. Additionally, since the invention of pasteurisation, there have been great advances in refrigeration, microbiology, & supply chain management.
@@christopherdine1258 Late to the reply, but I must say, if there is an issue with drinking raw milk, why is the US one of the few countries that have an issue with raw milk? When majority of the world consumes it, any idea that it's harmful is thrown out the window. The sole reason it is illegal is when large scale dairy farms started to grow, they didn't want to spend the extra time/money on making sure raw milk was safe, so they did it the cheap and quick way. Same goes for how we raise many animals. The only reason it's STILL outlawed is that too many people are unaware it's safe, and wouldn't want to consume it. Not to mention most lower class citizens would never be able to afford it anyways. Milk is expensive enough as it is now.
@@xleaguex2655 the majority of the world doesn't treat their sewage properly. Using that as a reason is nonsensical. Safe? I had no idea Gabby started off as a kitchen assistant and now she’s got her own segments on BA videos and that makes me so happy :’)
Gaby is the best!
It's the opposite. She used to be a kitchen manager in the old vids. And now she is a kitchen assistant in the recent vids. sounds like a demotion =\
AyoJayArr this is an old video
haha now she has the job Brad had in these
Brad had the same job, then worked up to Kitchen manager, then became a full time food editor for the videos.
“Add the ice, and then fill it with a little wourder. And make a real fancy thing called ice wourder.”
Thanks for the pro tip Brad.
A three-for-one!
This is why he's the test kitchen manager

And then everyone in your house clapped?
That's how I mess up cooking too.
Taking a sec to appreciate that you caught your phone 👍
Melker ___ stfu
I liked how he used a wooden spoon to take the cream out of the jar and then a flexible spatula to try to squeeze the liquid out of the butter lol
He’s dumb
I thought the same exact thing... I was like, do they not have silicone spatulas?!
HCJalMex I mean it worked
I was thinking the same! Silicone spatulas are the best invention ever!

What planet are you on? Cultured is craft beer and frank ocean? LMAO

SidtheKid how wth lmao, frank is always cultured
Those sound effects always make me think he actually broke something and then I remember it's not real and laugh at myself

brad is definitely one of the more entertaining people in the TH-cam food scene
nice nice
Brad: all pasteurized is pasteurized at the end of the day
Claire: :O
Brad: well put Claire

No wonder she's half-sour, she keeps getting cut out 😂😂
I've seen that cut in other videos and I always laugh 🤭 poor Claire 😂
the most wonderful thing is when he realizes that cream is... wait for it... cream-colored

the editor has a great sense of humor that matches Brad's personality very well.
The smashing glass gets me every time.
Big up to the editors - they got a sense of humor alright
THE editor. The man, the myth, the legend: Vinny.
Spo8 Vinny is the cameraman not the editor
kaemjalo Does Vinny not also edit? All the text from the editor is from Vinny's point of view.
Gotta find that cat tho
Spo8 matt hunziker is the editor (probably spelled the name wrong)
I'm literally binge watching Brad's episodes - he's bloody brilliant!
Good Looking and Cooking I'm on the point of my life where watching Brad and Vinny, Vin, Vincent, Vincenzo is all I need to survive.
Woah, you are good looking and you are IN FACT cooking!
Welcome to every day of my life

I've subscribed to BA because of Brad. And I love Brad/Claire collabs.
They are the perfect working couple!
The editing is amazing

I screamed at him Googling how to make butter 😂😂
I like how well-spoken Vinny is. Really has a way with words, that Vin.
