It never ceases to amaze me that even the biggest pros on the modern MPC platform are struggling to figure out all the workflow shortcuts. It's a testament to the insane learning curve of the modern MPC platform but also to the insane stuff you can do with it and all the different routes that are out there to get there.

His method is basically based on how ppl did the mpc60 where he would chop everything perfect from the copies so mute groups not really needed. I do this on Maschine by mute grouping the sample at first. Then with Maschine I’ll focus on making my first chop instead of truncating I copy the pad move my start point to my end point then extend the endpoint for the second chop and repeat. Chops aren’t always grid but I kinda did it like an mpc2000 classic zone edit with ensoniq ways to change it and the intent of a mpc60

But these things are only tools and its about 10:34 10:34 what works best for you if you are a real musician, you may not need that much assistance with chords and scales. If you’re not a musician, and don’t know Music theory it’s good to have tools that can assist you with that. I guess the point I’m trying to make is there’s no better or worse. If something takes me 5 minutes to do in Ableton Live, it'll take 1 hour on the MPC. I don't get it. Horrible workflow

I agree. The Live is still cool if you just want to jam out wherever you want. I prefer the workflow of the Force (more like ableton). Force is certainly better than the Push 3 as a standalone. In the end though, nothing beats Ableton IMO.

Same here. On Ableton drag sample into a Drum Rack, activate Slice mode (Slice by Beat), and then "Slice to New MIDI Track" (right-click menu). Takes seconds. Top producers use MPC? Maybe, but only on the go. 😄

OMG!!! I HAVE A BRAND NEW ONE PLUS AND I GAVE A BRAND NEW LIVE 2 TO MY BROTHER BECAUSE OF THEIR RETARDED WORK FLOW. JUST WAY TOO MUCH MENU DIVING. I LOVE MY MASCHINE MK3 AND KK MK2 KEYBOARD. THE WORK FLOW IS SUPER CLEAN AND THERE'S DEDICATED BUTTONS FOR EVERYTHING. I ALSO HAVE A MINI PLUS KEYBOARD AND AN MPK 249 KEYBOARD. I'M JUST GONNA KEEP IT TO PASS ON TO MY LITTLE BOYS.

Once you learn the new gen mpcs you can do alot of things just as fast as most daws..... I produce mostly with the mpc live 2 and fl studio but I'm well versed in ableton and studio one. I can make beats very quickly on the mpc

Not a fan at all of the mpc software. I stopped using the modern mpc series for this reason

Nahh. I still don't get it. The MPC seems basic.

Title is pure click bate. Nothing in the video explains "why top producers use the MPC"... it just Ocean learning basic techniques 😑
