Too many folks complaining about machines. It's disgusting. All the options we have nowadays. It makes no sense.
they don't have enough humility to know theres gaps in there learning
@@JaeFreshmenI want to learn I’m trying to get good and stop making trash beats
@@thahomie773I have a tip as a beat maker. I have way more “throw aways” than I do “keepers”. Don’t let it discourage you. you will see and hear your own milestones so keep pushing and enjoy the process.
Facts!💪🏾
💯! The level of technology in a new MPC is crazy. Coming from the 60, and 2000xl gen. The new shit is waaaaay to easy! @akaipro is killing it!
Man why this dude don't have millions of views he's the truth foreal salute 💯
He's definitely the elite of the elite MPC & production TH-camrs.
Him and MALO. I’ve learned a ton from both of them and surprised both aren’t massive channels.
cos of TUBEDIGGA maybe ? who's MPC videos rule , really.
Yea this dude is the truth fa real real
You just taught a masterclass. I’ve never understood why people complain so much about the new MPCs and what’s already built into them. If you’re a good musician you can make good music with whatever you have. The ear is more important than the gear.
Do you teach a class on anything like an MPC key 61 I just bought it and I don’t know it very well but I would love for somebody to help me out with this. Thank you for your time and great comment. By the way I’m along with you people get gear and don’t understand it and then sell it instead of trying to find good people like you who can show people how to do it.
@@lamarcraven2314Nah man I don’t lol! Sorry I just saw your comment. I’m still a student myself when it comes to the MPC. I just bought my X last year, I’ve been a longtime Maschine user. So there’s still a lot I’m learning switching over to the MPC world! Plus I don’t have the Key 61! I bet there’s gotta somebody on here who can teach you everything about it though.
but less be honest the more u got to work with the better
@@trackmusic252 Maybe. Maybe not. Plenty of legendary albums were recorded with only four tracks, with just volume, panning, maybe some EQ and compression and that’s about it. Without good musicianship and songwriting it doesn’t matter how much more we have. But it’s definitely good to have options though 👍🏾
Sound selection is so important - your thinking is totally on point man.
That said… It’s a sampler - we should be filling the thing with found sounds - get your phone and a drumstick and hit some shit!
Bro you are the best teacher. No beating around the best just straight to the point. Thank you for making time to share your knowledge 👍
The mpc air analog delay sync is my go to
🔥🔥🔥MPC users needed to see this. Bro your a gem to those who dont understand these things. Jewel after jewel. Their stock and AIR plugins are🔥!
Experienced MPC users already know this. It’s the newbies or those migrating from DAWs who don’t.
Just shows a huge knowledge gap 🫤
@@blkgostnone4092 It's why I said "to those who don't understand these things"
@@blkgostnone4092 i started on the 1200 so yes the more the better
I have every plugin for the MPC except Jura and they’re all fire. I’m still finding ways to take those presets and turn them into something I never would’ve imagined. Pair up your MPC with an MPK Mini Plus and you have one of the most powerful beat making hardware combos.
Agreed, great combo. Jura is cool, I own a Juno 60 so I gravitated towards that sound immediately.
I agree own the X and have all the plugins .. it's a must to pick up jura and the expansion packs for it...
Dude get jura too!! U will love it.
How much are these plugins cause all I got are stock plug ins and have had them for like 4 yrs 🤷🏿
@@skylerdarkavelifinesseflow7115 they all vary but I caught a sale and got like 70% off the MPC instrument Collection bundle. It’s worth the price though. There’s something like 5,000-6,000 presets just in that collection alone which includes Fabric and Fabric XL and like 4 other synths. I’d get them. They are amazing.
Also, keep these MPC vids coming homie. You’re goated on here with it and you explain things so well that even someone who never touched one could learn enough to start mastering it. 💪🏼💪🏼
thanks for the feedback bro 💯
google " tubedigga" your welcome
Theres so much goodness in this short 20 minute video. Thanks Jae.
Love my MPC. Hype has a few tricks up its sleeve.
Tutorial would be nice it to complicated
Can u mention a few tricks please? :)
Im glad you pointed this out
got to have humility in able to learn
Air music tech is dope!
this is amazing, i was getting kind of frustrated because i didnt realize how much more i could do with the mpc one! thank you!
thanks for tuning in bro
Jae...Bro! You are KILLING IT!!! Thank YOU!!!
The stock plugins in my opinion tend to be great if you know what they are about. Starting out I avoided them but doing a quick background research on like the Mellotron made me better at using it. I thought it was just a fake piano plugin but that was just judging a book by its cover. The mellotron is a lofi tape sound beast of a machine!
honestly i dont think any plugin is bad , people just are at a different level of sound design and creativity
Im glad u said it. Everytime i say the mpc a complete machines plugins and effects and they dont need 3rd party like that.. people go cross eyed and wondering how? They kinda tell on themselves that they dont spend much time on their machine.. dont turn knobs.. nothing.. but to make those presets. Somebody turned a knob for the user experience.
most producers have big gaps in there learning and not humble enough to admit what they dont know
Right even thou I was using my mpc live 2 I realized im not fully using the machine without turning all the knobs on each plug in to learn adjusting and using effects to get and now experience every time
@scarthereddoninfinity6100 bro we so trained to preset.. we don't realize we set the table. Once u get a handle on what's what.. shit gets crazy.. I never really go outside except to get samples.
Thank you for this! People think they need 3rd party this 3rd party that, the most expensive plug-ins ect. But don't take the time to mess with what is already available. Alot of daws have pretty good stock plugins and effects. Hype and tube synth are exceptionally well and are my favorite stock plugins on the mpc. I like that the effect plugins force you to use your ear on the mpc
was just having this conversation. And agree. The MPC plugins don't suck, but one shouldn't expect them to sound like Ominsphere when Akai just got into the plugin synth game when the MPC Renneisance dropped in 2012. Give em time to get adjusted to the plugin world. Now,in our opinion yes them making new synths like JURA is cool, but to speed up the process maybe in the near future they should include the vintage AIR synth plugins for standalone users. That would be EPIC !!
u can make ur own omni sounds. omnisphere is just samples layered on top of each other. physical modeling bell + sample bell + fm synth bell = omnisphere it all in the layering
I fully agree with that title.
brother its late now but im saving this lesson for next sesh much appreciated broski
Hell yeah! I got the Akai force, which was made for edm styles but I have made what I call vibe Drill!
anything possible with the mind
Great run dude. Thank you 🙏🏻
Nice!!! That’s exactly how i do it. I did learn something new tho. The shift shortcuts are clutch. Also knowing lil bit of music theory goes a long way
I love this title. Im a new MPC user and I was like wtf I can’t get anything good out of these plugins, but I know they must work somehow if I just knew more about using them
good mindset to have , most producer would blame the gear
This man is cooking let him cook
thanks g
You explain things good. It's always something to learn in your videos. Thanks for all the dope useful info and help bro 👍🏽
🔥🔥🔥 I learn so much throughout ur video , thanks for the time you put to make those tutorials … keep up the good work ✌🏾
This is a great video on knowing your equipment and maximizing what you have...Bro these videos are 🔥on the basics...💯👍🏼
Jae Freshmen is the best teacher when it comes to the MPC!!!
much love g
Another amazing tutorial! Deep on every level!
That beat definitely works nice job
Great in depth video. Really informative and helpful! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
The stock plugins are nice and very doable for making a full song. I especially love the hype sounds.
But to be honest, I do feel just a little limited when using my MPC in standalone mode. There are key sounds that I like to use a lot between the NI, Rolandcloud, and Auturia plugins that the MPC doesn't have.
As a solution, I have been sampling those sounds into my MPC storage to help with my creativity and alleviate the need to buy expansions.
I really appreciate this video 🫡
Another great tutorial, to the point .
Very informative stuff
Thanks Jae on showing us in the music community how to construct our work flow. ,💯
🔥🔥🔥 love your vids man. Keep them coming! Where did you get that Godly chord progression?

@7:14 is why Jae is the goat! Producers don't tell other producers this kind of stuff enough ✊🏾
Your MPC videos are the best on YT
I'm not sure if you commenter's know this... But you can fudge with the knobs to get the sound you want too
Hats off to you Homie 🎩
thanks bro
Dope video and I agree!!!! Also to add to your point, these are synths so you can design your own sounds!!!!…. But when you go into the “edit instrument” tab there’s no back button. Kinda annoying, but synths are for designing sound. Learn oscillators, filters, lfos, and envelopes. Buy a synth cookbook to get started if you need to. Presets can be used of course but consider them templates and go in and tweak those sounds!!!
Love this guy. I'm picking up so much. Thanks for the videos bro.
thanks for watching bro 💯
Hype is a very nice plugin that comes stock
Great video. Enjoying what you do !!! 🫡
My last two albums nothing but stock ins out the box love from Memphis
Always learn something watching your videos.
Good tips bruh much needed and much appreciated, Peace King
thanks for watching bro
Mpc Master Guru! ❤ I definitely believe it's the person, not what you have. I've seen guys who have it all and the beats are 🗑 🚮 and guys who have 1 keyboard or just a drum machine are making straight bangers!
we all seen it but still some will convince themselves its not possible , much love for watching tho
@JaeFreshmen Appreciate you, bro! FR 🙏🏻
Yo Jae I appreciate you. Keep it up
thanks for tuning in
Dope video.
You can also do vocals in the MPC and master track with the plugins.
Good video Bro. Keep up the good work
Thank you!!!

U the man bro🔥👍🏾
Damn bro how you been messing with MPC work flow is sick 🫡⚜️
If u can't make beats with stock sounds, then u haven't reached ur peak yet.. I'm not gonna bash anybody.. spend a month with just the stock sounds and see how good u can get.. u'll be amazed how much more u learn wat ur machine do.. and that goes for ANY machine and brand on the market.
bro mad aggressive with his verbal delivery
Yes I agree.
These plug ins very dope , people just have to handle them like synths , and then is sky the limit .
I was so suprised by the tubesynth it is a powerful synth , I use it most.
But i found a really bad bug in oddisey , sometimes when I play a note it doesnt stop , its endless .
Then i have to delete the plug in.
Its a shame because oddisey sounds so dope .
But I hope akai will fix it .
Peace and you are sharing very dope content ❤✌️👋
Sorry for my english
Golden fire my man
Beautiful
you are the man
Listen akai... We just mad that you won't drop these damn stems in standalone... And we want our third party plug-ins. We paid for them(some of us lol) and we should be able to use them in standalone. Figure the shit out man. I live 5 minutes away from headquarters... Don't make me come down there....
hi, I'm glad to have found your youtube channel I want to use an MPC now, I'm a fl studio user but how can I use my vst like omnisphere, heat up 3, serum with an MPC? please ? I don't really understand the system
lol that title is gold
Nice
Are those progressions stock on mpc? All I have is major, minor and so simple
yes they are bro make sure your on chords and then rewatched the video again
hey i was just watching this video. do you have the link where you say about having another video about convent the song to an sd card

Yo Ave Mcree told me to follow you. Here I am

MPC plugins do suck in comparison to what's available on any DAW, but still: a good producer can use them to make something great. It's not a problem: an MPC is just not made for the same type of work. MPC is just undefeatable when it comes to getting the essence of musics such as hip-hop. Having less is what made this music emerge in the first place. Sometimes whan you have countless plugins and VST instruments, you end up doing nothing because of too many possibilities.
🔥🔥🔥
💯
What were you quantizing this track at
bueno
How did you erase the first sequence you were moving to fast I missed that part when you put it into the 2nd sequence how do you copy tracks over
DOPE
thank you
How you like those monitors ?
its whatever i just need something to listen to out loud
Great flow.
BTW in MPC 3 Chord Progressions have more options, Godly is now Gospel 11.
That Tube preset though, Chord Tri, when used with Chords, produces a digital 'click' when each note is tapped (especially in quick succession), it's not always noticeable, but annoying. I've found many presets have this, including those for the paid Jura. Just when I think I've found a good preset, I find it clicks!!, a digital issue - not only of the attack (something else) ...and with Chord Tri that has a delay enabled that click propagates!, I wish Akai could sort this out! ...I hear the click in your demo (just), most noticeable when you hit PAD 4 just after here…
th-cam.com/video/HO_QLHRIQAg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=EKmjaBKT0fUO6uWd&t=148
which is fine when a slow melody falls back behind forward drums, but as a forward fast melody, click click.
Anyway, I look forward to more of your vids on MPC3!
After all that I dare you to flatten a pad 😂
Hit the like button!!!!! The hell is wrong with y’all!!! Lol shits fire!!!
Noob:store bought plug ins are the best!
You: i disagree,i think factory plug ins are the best.
Noob: factory plug ins suck!
You: you know what,you suck
I just posted 🔥 using stock sounds.
I just hate this touchscreen workflow.😂😂
These sounds are average at best. Kontakt 7 with a stack of libraries, omnisphere/keyscape and analog lab make all these internal sounds redundant
Yea now you talking about spending more money. He is talking about stock stuff. You not listening, or what?
@@5thelementalsounds if you buying an mpc and you have no money for good plugins your priorities are off. I own an mpc x se and it comes with nearly all the akai plugins. I also have all the things I listed. So I never use the internal sounds. The only sounds I use sometimes are the mpc expansions
@@5thelementalsounds plus the title is the sounds don’t suck it’s you. I won’t say they suck but if you have anything else they are sub par
@@LifeNTimesProduction This stand alone bro he not talking pc power
@@jaytonkash If you buying an mpc to use standalone it should be for sampling. To spend that amount to use the inbuilt instruments is crazy imo
Bro !! Wtf !!!
BASSLINE sucks, show us something using that then !!!!! Hype inits are ace , and the rhodes one is cool too , but bassline one is donald gump pants pooh
Baseline is awesome you clearly just haven't learned how to use it right
Baseline very decent
If u think bassline sucks u clearly havnt a clue…I remember playing a bassline wit that and a friend asked me if i used a real bass guitar
It’s hard to get a good sound from just the pads alone. Even using the 16 levels/notes button. To really get a good bassline from stock plugins you have to plug in a midi keyboard. Some basslines sound great with my MPK Mini Plus because you have more range, and are able to adjust the pitch and modulation.
And if u can't find what u looking for in baseline. U will definitely find it in mini d. U lying if u say u can't. And I'm sure many relegate themselves to presets. Twist them knobs adjust those volumes create your sound. That's kind of the point.
Thanks for lessons bro, from Russia with love
Experienced MPC users already know this. It’s the newbies or those migrating from DAWs who don’t.
Just shows a huge knowledge gap 🫤
*EDIT* This is actually a “blanket” topic that can be applied to any musical discipline in general
😐😒🙄
Also korg and Roland users already knew this. Newbies are looking for instatrap sounds from generic vsts. Fabric, Jura and Mini is dope.
