Imagine how many conversations and minutes (translating into days, months and years) have been spent in the whole country since the existence of each Ivy League law school regarding which one is better than the other from the alumni of those schools or those who didn’t get accepted there or anyone else ever in the US. Imagine in those conversations the amount of energy spent to convince others of the , and telling them about that friend you have who went there and didn’t like or that loved it and was the best of her class. Imagine the ones graduating with the highest honors and the number of times they have told people this while also downplaying the importance they give to this or to which school you go to. Or even trying to sell others how important and helpful it actually is to have not only gotten in one of these schools but having graduated with highest honors. Imagine those people then one day on instagram seeing a millionaire at 18yo, a businessman who made more money in one year before even joining school than those now prestigious lawyers will make in 5 years. It puts things into perspective certainly.
100% at UofM everyone is chill af and knows what our capabilities are so why brag. Get through school and grow that’s what matters not making sure everyone knows what you accomplish that’s just ego stroking. The low key graduates are typically the ones who make the most money too. Even business school were #8 and Harvard is #5… also the 40% is irrelevant because once you get accepted… you then have to get accepted into the programs you want, which best case will accept 25-30%. So now imagine those out of state students. It’s around 30% to get in assuming you already have the necessary GPA.. then once you are in getting into engineering will be about 25% chance of being accepted. So you see 30%. I see 25% of the 30% this really only around 15% get accepted into these programs. Ik people who got rejected and they’re incredible at math etc. It just depends on how heavy the amount of applicants are. That being said also look at the incomes students receive after graduating from UofM and compare it to Harvard lol… same level.
