A lot of people I know talk down on Chili's, but I love it! Their prices have stayed pretty reasonable compared to other chain restaurants, and I have never had a bad meal there.
Their mushroom swiss burger is awesome and I love their chicken avacado bacon sandwich. It's HUGE so I get two meals out of it and it's only like $13.
I really appreciate that you also review places that are more in reach for people who may be on a tight income.

Love your channels! You both are so great together. $32 (plus tip) is reasonable for so much food, especially if you're taking some home for later. I was in Las Vegas last month, and made sure to re-watch your buffet videos before going in to do battle!
That $10.99 burger deal looks lots better than McDonalds and Burger King combo meals which cost about the same or more than that. I had In n Out last night and the burger patties that they use now are so thin you can almost see through them. Habit and Tommys shrunk their patties down to the size of tomato slices. The only fast food places that still have decent size burgers is BK and Farmer Boys.
Last time I went to Chilis ALL THE FOOD WAS COLD. Ribs = cold. Appetizers = cold. The only thing at the correct temp was the salad = COLD
I would have thrown all that rice in the soup and used it as a thick sauce on the burritos. That burger and fries had me drooling!!! Thanks guys, I have never been to Chili’s so this was fun 👍

Chili’s used to have some mean lettuce wraps. They were amazing. We used to have a bunch of chili’s restaurants around. Now I can’t think of one anywhere. Last time I ate at one, was in Georgia.

I definitely would get that meal for 1099 all that food for only $32 in my opinion is unbelievable I’m really not much for restaurants like Applebee’s or TGI Friday’s or Chili’s because a lot of it is bar food but the food that you selected for this video I think was very good for the money may not have been top quality or four-star, but I think it would satisfy for a nice little dinner again excellent job on the video and the one nice thing that Derek and Catherine do together is that they get along so good and they respect each other immensely and that’s very well appreciated when you’re watching to host or two cohosts get along so well it’s nice to see…

We go to dinner once a month date night we choose Chili's and hubby got exactly what Derek got. I wanted to try out the ribs dryrub ohmy stars sooo good. We did get an appetizer the sweet wings they were big juicy hot *not spicy* they were good. Chili's since their menu change here was much better than before.
Burger looked great. I'd want more dressing on that ceaser.

Looks good for the price. I would of made wrap with the beans and beef etc. But I probably would of went for the burger to begin with. That looked great!

Great deal 10.99$ is pretty much the price of a fast food chain combo but server should have waited 5-10 minutes for you to eat your soup and salad before bringing the rest
When we DoorDash, we always get Chili's burgers. Our favorite is the Santa Fe burger. It's the BEST!!!!
I do have to say you guys have a lot of courage. I've never been to chili's, tgif, etc. I did visit a denny's 40 years ago, lol. The burger looks alright, but I'll never know.
When I go out to eat I order my appetizer first and when it arrives then I order my food.I know it’s a fast food restaurant but they need to pace between apps and main meal.Did the waitress ever come back and ask how everything was? She should have and she should have been told about the undercooked rice .(which isn’t her fault) This is when you rethink your tip.You are both very enjoyable,thanks for sharing!(wedding date?)
We love Chili’s, we go at least 3 times a month. The Old Timer burger is my favorite burger., husband likes the steak fajitas..Have never been displeased with anything we get..

I hate it as the entree comes to fast. With a salade that is not a big deal, as it can be a side. But with soup...
the steak looks like a typical 'cruise ship' strip steak---not bad by any means, but generally not that 'rich, buttery steak' experience you get from a better cut. The burger (within the realm of burger-world) is likely better than the steak. But for the prices, those meals are pretty reasonable. That burger alone is like 15-20 bucks at a lot of places!!!
Good review, you two! Catherine, thank Heavens that I'm not alone in finding cilantro overwhelming. It reminds me of soap. Of course, Derek always said that truffles remind him of the smell of death. 😊

Can Chilis do 2 things. If craft beer is wanted, charge $3 additional, and NOT charge $3 for bacon on the cheeseburger 😅.

I dont like it when the appetizer comes out at the same time as the main course.
$12.02 after tax where I live plus a $2.40 tip is $14.42. The food is fresh, hasn't been sitting in a warmer for 30-60 minutes or longer, the service is excellent, the starter makes it a really good deal and you get wayyyyyyy more fries on that plate than you do at any fast food restaurant, except for Five guys, -which is way more pricey and their oversized buns and shrunken patties ain't fooling anyone. ($18.98 after tax for hamburger, reg fries and reg drink).
Chili's does the simple foods well. Carne asada and sides not so good.

How does someone mess up a Caesar salad since there isn’t much to it lol?. The burger did look really good out of all of the dishes.

We always go to Chili’s and order the Old Timer Burger-best tasting burger even against In and Out. Next time you both should try the fajitas the shrimp are good and the steak fajitas are so tender. We always skip the rice and order extra beans. Catherine looked as if her meal wasn’t the best for her-😢. Travel safe.

That is a great deal from a major chain. Times are tough. I would have complained about the rice. I think you should make videos of complaints just to see how restaurants handle the situations. I love Chili's but I always have to tell them NO salt. Their food is always so salty. I guess they think it will encourage people to order more drinks / sales.
I agree. Even on broccoli that should be healthy. The last time that I had it as a side it was barely edible with all the salt.

Chili’s is always a hit or miss. Sometimes it is really good and sometimes if can be really bad. Lately it been bad.

My family and I love Chili's, we used to go at least 2-3 times a month. But lately the 3 for me deal has gotten horrible. They eliminated a few really good options for it and instead of 2 sides, they are only giving one. We only go maybe once a month nowadays.
I agree with you. My friend and I used to go for this deal quite often, but not only have they gotten rid of some of the entree choices, they've also significantly raised the price on remaining options. It's still a good deal considering the cost of a beverage at restaurants is around $3, but it's not the awesome deal it used to be. Still can't believe they got rid of their ORIGINAL Chicken Crispers but kept the 'Crispy' Chicken Crispers which are just like the chicken tenders everyone else on Earth has. Not to mention they really scaled back on their Rewards program.

Hi guys! Major strike on Chilis. They gave you no time to enjoy your starter. So all you can do now is choose what you want to eat cold or room temp. You were way too polite, I’d be pissed. I haven’t been to a Chili’s in awhile I see no reason….
Oh and botching the order on a cilantro call, fatal error. That’s going back. I love cilantro but my roomy is of the dish soap league. That’s going back.

When my husband and I first met we went to Chili's on a date. I think that's the last time I went there. Lol. Some people knock it but we like it.

I wonder if Catherine would have liked her food better if the sauce was served on the side, instead of on the steak. After she tasted both entres and was eating the soup, you can count the tortilla still in the aluminium and there are still 3. She also said that the rice was still hard. I think it was a pass in the steak dish all together.

At the least I would have asked for a redo on Catherine's- you just can't scrape off enough sauce to make that cilantro taste go away!
Personally I would have politely stated the issues - appetizers and meal served at the same time, sauce not served on side and undercooked rice - to a manager if the wait staff didn't pick up on the problems and offer compensation in some form.
It's not being fussy, it's letting them know they need to step up their game to stay competitive!
That's a darn good deal for 2 meals.
