I have stopped eating at the Wendy's . They don't get the orders right and the food is cold . Dave would be very disappointed. He worked hard to grow this company.

Completely agree with you 💯% Dave would not be proud of how Wendy's has drastically gone down in Quality and Taste since the days of Wendy's yellow cups and bowls!
I used to LOVE Wendy's but after the last 20+ times at all different Wendy's the food tastes awful, is cold, and the service is atrocious, I've given up. I don't think young people can comprehend how tasty and affordable fast food used to be.

Culvers is on a different level. Almost like real food.
Its legit real food. That walleye is real food. Its without a doubt the best fish sandwich out there. Its hand breaded for christ sakes

In the 90s burger king had the best fish sandwich and the tartar sauce was top tier.
They used to have one they called the Whaler that was outstanding. Their new ones, not so much...

Yes, the Whaler was awesome ! I remember my grandmother taking me to BK to get one when I was a kid. Nowadays the Whopper is more like a breakfast biscuit.😢

After trying the double Filet-O-Fish from McDonald's you'll never go back! It's only around one dollar more and makes the fish sandwich so much more filling and substantial. I always order it with extra tartar sauce. That's 25 cents. I never get tired of it either. It's just so good!

I agree. Once I discovered that you could add an extra filet it is the only way I order it now. So good.

Have tried thier chili recently? Horrible! The beef they use in it is chopped up leftover hamburger paties. That was told to me by a Wendy's manager. I'm done.

I agree with those that are recommending Culver's, they have great fish sandwiches! Their Reuben is top notch also!
Everything is top notch at Culver's....except maybe for their fries.
I love Culver’s ,but remember they are only in 26 states.
Not sure where you are taste tasting these fish sandwiches, but McDonald's has gone down hill here in Arizona. The portions are extremely small, nothing like what your video shows. Plus you now only get ½ slice of cheese on them, plus their price went up. McDonald's is no longer my go-to fast food place for a fish sandwich.
They had a great fish sandwich in the 1960’s when they first opened. Now it’s cold and very skimpy.

i give credit for Arbys for having the biggest fish filet, much bigger than the other sandwiches. the other filets looked pretty much the same size and shape.
Gak that liquid cheese on anything let alone a piece of fish. IMO..
you can ask no lettuce yes i get extra tartar sometimes extra but i asked not to/nothing beets the bk whaler many years ago foe 3 dollars w cheez and toasted cut in half every store will be differnt ask for hot out of cooker

The McDonald's Filet o Fish is in my go to fish sandwich. It is a simple sandwich. Tartar sauce is good and the small piece of cheese is just enough and the Bun is amazing. I love when they tell me to pull forward they have to make fresh fillets.

I have The Filet-O-Fish from McDonalds about 1 time per year. It tastes the same for decades. It is the only fast-food fish sandwich I eat.

Burger King Buns are always cold and dry. Filet O Fish will always be my number 1!

Never accept a cold fish filet sandwich. Insist on it being made-to-order. If it's cold, bring it back and have them make you another.

I think the double filet at McDonalds is the best. Remember they will double the tartar sauce on request.
The Flounder @ Popeyes is really good. The fish sandwich @ McDonalds is super small .
A food hack for the Burger King Big Fish, is ketchup & mayo only, and put french fries in between for a fish & fries sandwich, I never eat that sandwich any other way, it will remind you of being a kid & eating fish sticks & fries, but within a sandwich.
Wendy's sandwiches are always cold, I think. I struggle with any of their food except frostys. Lol

McDonald's has the smallest fish sandwich I have ever seen in a single sandwich.
Seriously. I thought I was the only 1 who noticed. Moreover, it was never huge, but seems like years ago it was larger?
They did that down sizing bull that every other food business is doing. Same package, same price but less food. I even think Costco hot dogs when on a diet because to me they look thinner and shorter than before.😢
I remember a big mac seemed huge in the 80's. Everything is shrunk and cut in half and cost $16 for one persons meal. People better learn to cook at home or make Bento Boxes or we will be getting only finger foods for lunch.

The best now days by far is Culvers walleye sandwich during lent.
My favorite fish is from Rally's they also have gave a double fish. Please try it next time I always get extra tarter sauce and pickles
Actually hard to beat the McDonald's filet of fish, that steamed bun and the little piece of American cheese just does it for me.
The Weinerschnitzel's is basically an east coast style Sea Dog. Although, the Cod fillet hangs off both side of the bun. The secret is to put cole slaw on top!
When my sister and I go shopping we always get McDonald’s for lunch …..I always get a fresh fish filet….never get disappointed…❤

I always think about McDonalds fish sandwiches around Lent. When they were introduced in the 1965 era, and they were unbelievably delicious. Frankly, they were addictive. Now it depends upon the location as franchises delivery is uneven to say the least. I will try the double. Hopefully I can recapture the past.

The Arbys one on the Hawaiian bun is my favorite. The true secret is to dip it in their 'red ranch' sauce mmm, perfect. Oddly it doesn't work to get it on the sandwich first, it kinda just melts and disappears for some reason.
Big fan of Popeyes....for fast food fish. I miss fish fry Friday's in western Pennsylvania. Every catholic church and volunteer fire department had them. Never disappointed in any of them

I agree about Wendy’s, the last two visits I’ve had the food was dry and cold, won’t be going back anytime soon. Concerning fish sandwiches, I’ve been a Fan of good ole Jack n the Box since I was a kid.

My last fish sandwich was at Arby's, I thought it was pretty good, the filet was hot and it had lettuce and tartar sauce I believe. McDonald's fish seams more processed and I'm not ready to drop $6.00 on processed fish, maybe $4.00 and I might.

Culver's is my favorite, Arby's 2 for 6 is the best value, IMO. I don't do the cheddar sauce at Arby's, just tarter. The local Arby's does a bit too much tartar sauce.
I’m so glad you tried Wienerschnitzel. They used to have such fun stuff on the rotating menu, I even got a tamal there once. Anyway, years ago they did fish and chips, two of those long fillets in the hot dog box and it was much better than I expected.

When I got the Arby’s fish, they had a lot of tartar sauce on it. I think sauce amount depends on which Arby’s you go to.

What I got at Arbys for their"fish" sandwich was 3 small fish sticks on a bun, and it was cold! The best I have had lately was at Whataburger. No Culver's here.
For me, you just can't beat McDonalds Filet O' Fish. The price is a little high, but can't beat it for flavor.
I don't know if this is available everywhere but my local McDonald's has had 2 fish filets for $4 on the app for the past 6 months or so.

You must try Culvers fish sandwiches!! Through the whole year they offer a crispy cod sandwich or dinner... during the Lenten season they also offer walleye sandwiches and dinners.
I usually get the fish platter with the cod. My favorite fish from a fast food place. I just saw yesterday that they have the walleye advertised. I probably get it tonight. I have never had walleye to my knowledge, so I'm eager to find out.

I’m not a fast food person but when I do fast food usually I get the fish sandwich. With that said Burger King years ago ( I’m talking 20 years ago) was amazing. Whopper, Fish , didn’t matter. Fast hot fresh. But not anymore. In the last 6 months I’ve wanted Burger King and every meal I’ve gotten was fricken cold and gross. I can’t ever go back to burger king again. Why are they so bad now.
Checkers/Rally fish sandwiches are surprisingly best in my opinion.

McDonald's fish? A gentleman who owned a McDonald's restaurant in North bend Ohio. 10 miles out of Cincinnati, Ohio , invented around 1977. Give or take. I loved in Ohio, many years ago. I've been to that McDonald's.

I've tried all fish sandwiches but keep going back to McDonald's. I still think McDonald's have the best one. Never thought about ordering the double filet o fish though

McDonald's is the go-to for sure. The Wendy's that we got last Friday was very good. I hear a lot of good things about the Arby's King's Hawaiian so I want to try it. We don't have Jack in the Box here on the East Coast. They left here about 35 years ago.

Just for the folks who don't know, Pollock is a cheaper white fish as compared to Cod. The fisherman are paid far less money for Pollock than Cod. I'd much rather have Cod.
I don't care for cheese with my fish.
What is entertaining to me is the fact that the fish in many of the sandwiches you tested were processed by a well known catcher, processing company in the town I live in. The Pollock is the fish that gets cut up out of large blocks of multiple pieces of fish that were squished together and frozen at sea, then are sawed up to the customers specs ashore. Some are square, triangular, etc. I guess the difference is how it is handled, prepared and served.
Years ago there was an Arby's in the next town over that served good quality fish sandwiches and didn't skimp on tartar sauce.
The McDonald's in our town was corporate and was reportedly best in the country it was good for a McDonald's but then sold to a franchise and went to hell across the board. I never have been back.

Culver’s is my favorite “real” fish sandwich. I’ll have to try the filet o fish double. I always get hungry later when I get a single, but I love it.
If you ever get a chance you need to get a fish sandwich from Culver’s! Outstanding!
Like you, I have tried a lot of fish sandwiches, but I still come back to McDonald's Filet O'Fish (especially with their Lent special of buy one get the second for $1. #1 (and at several different McD's) they are always hot. #2 the half slice of cheese is the perfect amount to add to the flavor but not overpower the fish. Haven't tried the double (not even sure they are available in my area), but McD's is my go to in Lent.
Wendys food is always luke warm and the wait at the drive-thru is like taking a trip to the DMV. Wendy's - It doesn't have to be this way!
The McDonald's double filet-o-cheese is my goto, it's hard to beat. Culver's Walleye sandwich this time of year is really good but it's only available for a limited time.
I look forward to this every time I catch you doing one....anddddd I will be having that double FOF today where my local will hopefully live up to the hype. We had perfectly prepared singles a few weeks ago, which always feels like a gift. When I tried Popeye's flounder, I found it more fishy tasting in not a good way, but this was a few years ago. My Wendy's sandwich the year you liked them was a dud. I appreciate you doing multiple comparisons at restaurants like Arby's and Popeyes where multiple sandwiches are available and I always enjoy your descriptions. Super fun to watch!

You're better off asking for them to drop a new fillet any time you order fish. The quality of the sandwich depends on that fillet being hot and crispy. That's why McD is the best, they sell enough fish to keep them rotated and fresh.
I love the double filet of fish from McDonald's. Adding the extra patty is great for the extra protein.

Hardee's/Carl Jrs. used to have a terrific fish sandwich on a flat hoagie bun with cheese, tartar sauce and shredded lettuce. They discontinued it about twenty years ago, but it was the best fast food fish sandwich bar none.
Captain D's Fish Sandwich has crunchy crust, moist fish perfect size bun and tart pickle with nice tartar sauce. Never received one that wasn't piping hot.

Just found you today and subscribed! I don't get fish sandwiches from fast food places but I was impressed with the Spicy Flounder Sandwich from Popeyes (extra pickles and some tarter sauce )
