- Overcoming the loss of both parents and stints of being homeless - The Yeckes Triplets have defied all odds.
Sierra, Hailey and Kassidy have clung to each other and are now graduating from Valley High School on top.
Their amazing story of survival inspired the FOX5 Surprise Squad to secretly be there for their big day!

i find it extremely sad how their story was not spread within the school. they were in my school in my graduating class and many of my friends and myself did not know about this. i actually didnt even get to see this thing happening at our graduation. im glad they got help from the news and from certain school things, but i wish it was more known when we were all there so their fellow classmates could have helped them out too..
some things are better left unsaid. we all have dark secrets and tragedies in the past but what's important is that we've moved forward and not live in the past.
DLY but it wasnt unsaid, it was broadcasted over the news, and im not trying to dwell in the past. i only wish i would have been able to help them out sooner by knowing when they were around...

Just looking at their footwear to graduation had me in tears. Everyone else had heels. They wore what they had. Their hard work and perserverance is what dictates a successful person. I hope FOX5 can do sort of like a follow-up on such inspiring stories.

I love the group who had been following them for some months leading up to this and helping them get some of the things they needed. When they were walking out of graduation and they zoomed in to them cheering for them that just made my night to see. They took the time to make sure they were there to support them and cheer them on for that very special moment in their life. They are beyond strong and I’m so happy they have people in their lives now who are there by their sides and to get surprised by the surprise squad and leave with new cars it’s just so wonderful!!
Brought tears to my eyes. I was orphaned at 15 years old but I didn't have siblings. I fought the battle by myself. Been through loneliness and all. But here I am, I survived.

They also probably get a lot of their college paid through federal aid because they do not have parents and it goes off of their own personal income. Usually students don't get a lot of Federal Aid until they're about 26 years of age because it goes off of their parents income.

Finish the video friend, they also received a car each and registration and gas for a year😊 I feel the same way you do and it's a horrible system we live in but now is the time for joy. It's so important to find joy in things, friend. You'll kill your soul if you don't, trust me I know.

They did not know what emotion is. They never shed a tear. Manifestation of how strong they are and that tears is never easily shed. They've been through a lot, made them so strong.
Also a manifestation of their age and level of immaturity. When they are older, they will be more able to see the full value of what they were given and look back in tearful thankfulness. Also a lack of tears is not synonymous with strength.
The world can still pay us back with stories like this! Far reaching all the way across the world to Tasmania, Australia. Go girls!!

I really need to say this. For all of you who disliked this video. Screw you. These girls worked so hard to get where they are. They went through more adversity than you could ever go through in your lifetime. I was moved to tears on this video can't believe what they went through and still had joy in their heart. My hat goes off to that Community who supported these girls and my hat goes off to these girls who sacrificed so much to overcome so much. Makes me proud to be a dad of my children.

Pretty amazing story... little bummed Albertsons couldn't pay for their college in full. I mean $5k is awesome but it's a small dent.
They will get tons of grants and stuff though, coming from such a poor economic background

The triplets got $5,000 from Albertsons, which, as the one triplet said, will pay for hygiene supplies and college expenses. They are so grateful for receiving the things that they received.😎
