    Do you like the 4x speed or would you prefer the videos to be longer?

    When you are doing things like cleaning the garden the speed works well. I think that you have the right idea with using the mower first to make things easier. Looking forward to seeing you transform this sad house back into a home.👍

      Thank you! Using the mower really does make the groundwork a lot easier before getting into the details. It’s a long road, but it’ll be worth it to bring this house back to life. Appreciate you following along! 👍

    Do you know why the house and the cats were abandoned? Would you give a home to some of these poor kitties?

    • @TheBrenkes
      @TheBrenkes  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We don’t know the whole story yet, but what we learned just a few days ago is that the previous owner passed away in the house, leaving the 20 cats alone for a very long time. Sadly, not all of them survived, but the surviving cats have found new homes with neighbors or in shelters.

    Good morning - sooner or later you need a trailer hitch, and a reliable twin axle trailer -- ohne Anhänger wird's nicht gehen .....
    Have fun! all the best. Greets H.

      Good morning! You're absolutely right - sooner or later, a trailer hitch and a sturdy twin-axle trailer will be a must! There’s just too much to move and haul around without one. All the best to you as well, and greetings back! 🚛😊

      BTW: I did not see utility poles .. are you connected to the electrical grid and the Municipal wastewater disposal?

      @@Harryset1 And now the real fun begins! 😄 "Do. Undo. Redo." - that’s spot on!
      To answer your question: We’re connected to the municipal water and wastewater system. I’ll show the electrical box in the next house update, and once I register it, we’ll have electricity too. According to the realtor, though, it’ll be pricier than usual - about the same as activating a new connection, around 2500 SEK (about $233 or 220 euros). I’m hoping to make it to the house this week to get some work done!
      Thanks for following along, and greetings back!

      @@TheBrenkes Lucky you!
      So you have not to do a November dance in the dark with the septic tank and its clogged pipes ...
      Be sure that you get 380 Volt ~ AC - the electrical code of Sweden is very good ... Do not forget to change all the door locks -preferable into a locking system aka one key fits all locks ..
      So long and frohes Schaffen ....
      Do you "Jag talar svenska" already?
      Greets H.

      @TheBrenkes  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you, @Harryset1! 😊 Yes, we're definitely grateful to avoid the “dance”. We’re making sure to have 380V AC installed, good idea! Changing the locks to a single-key system is a great tip; it’ll make things much easier. And as for Swedish - Jag lär mig svenska, but still a long way to go!

    Sell the wood. It has so many uses.

    • @TheBrenkes
      @TheBrenkes  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you for your comment! The wood is wet and moldy. Most of it is made up of tree panels for interior work, which are painted, damp, moldy and covered in mouse droppings. I take everything to the recycling center, they know how to deal with the garbage best. Ready-made firewood that is dry and split is very cheap here. Nobody here would even accept the wood as a gift.

      Some found new homes with neighbors, but we did find a skeleton behind the sofa. It’s still there, as I haven’t gotten around to clearing it out yet.

      A trailer would be good, but my car doesn't have a towbar. Maybe I should buy a construction site car with a trailer.

      Would you not cut up and use that wood in the house for heating .

    • @TheBrenkes
      @TheBrenkes  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’ve decided to leave the wood there until spring, as a lot of mice have made it their home for now. Most of the wood is from interior walls and is painted, so I’ll take another look in spring to see what we can still use. So far, most of it has been moldy and damp.
