Phil, I can't believe it. The Ferrari. Congrats. There are lots of car content channels buying Ferraris. I am looking forward to yours the most. The Stangs parts and wheels you could always replace. This car is holy Grail stuff. Pressures on. You'll do your best work.
@@autofanaticcars would you be interested in trying out a new stand design I'm releasing in several weeks once I get a patent application in for it? Not only is it on two rollers to spin the tires, but the base rotates as well to eliminate having to pick up the tire and turn it around. Great for coating/polishing on a bench.
Truly fanatical wheel detailing. I have to admit the wheel looked amazing when you finished. Looking forward to more detailing videos featuring the F355.
yes when I was growing up this was one of the models we frequently worked with custom HRE wheels, stereos and integrated radar systems. Always loved this style and 26 years later it still looks like it hasn't aged a year.
some people are talented and awesome from the birth you are one of them for sure another killer job done to 110% perfection i really like the auto fanatic tire dressing can't wait to grab a bottle of it from the store
Awesome video. I don't know what it is about cleaning dirty wheels and tires. I had to remove hardened asphalt and wheel weigh glue and it sucked. I used a similar method with over saturating the area and a little bit of heat. I didn't want to cause more damage to the finish. Took me two days to do all four, but felt good after finishing.
What a job! Excellent work, I can feel the love for those wheels. How long does the Collinite work for a daily driver if you did the same process? I’m getting ready to paint my wheels and then wax them.
@@autofanaticcars thanks- I just picked up some of your wheel cleaner and tire dressing on amazon. This stuff is truly a game changer in the detailing world! Thanks for bringing this magical stuff to fruition for us all 😎
@@NameItBuildIt thanks for posting if you can please take a moment to leave us a 5 star review for both products on Amazons product listing page it is super important for us to continue bringing these products to market and offering to sell on Amazon, thanks again
@@autofanaticcars Absolutely! I’ll be doing a review on my channel also, so I will review on amazon at the same time. I would give you 10 stars if I could! I would say you don’t know how much time and work this will be saving me, but obviously you do 😎
Hey Phil what is your thought on ceramic coats for vintage wheels like these? I'm gonna do a similar process on a 90's Mercedes and was wondering if I should use collinite 476 or ceramic coat (cquartz dlux)
Another fun video, I enjoyed it. The wheels came out gorgeous and I like having the product suggestions. I kept wondering how many miles were on the wheels. I know the car is 26 y/o, but the mileage on the wheels would be a better gauge of their age/condition ratio. Subbed!
auto fanatic does the guilia qv serpentine belt ACTUALLY need to ever be replaced? its kind of stupid how every 36k it has to be replaced even though other cars are fine until 100k
coming soon the next video will highlight the process of detailing and refreshing the original Brembo brake calipers, then we move into chassis detailing and more so subscribe for more
claying the inside of a wheel... this is def only for high end vehicles. No one is going to this extreme on their Honda, Chevy, or really 99% of all vehicles. It would be nice if you could achieve that level of clean using products everyday people could afford.
on older car I honestly never would suggest any ceramic coating since the solvents in them can react with the older broken down paint finishes. I've seen it happen before.
because a ceramic coatings solvents can affect such an old finish and its just too risky since these wheels are not aluminum but magnesium which absorbs any moisture instantly into its pores. I have seen shops ceramic coat old wheels for the finish to yellow in areas. age breaks down the painted finish so you really need to take caution on older cars if your looking to preserve them.
I wonder how quickly you would be attacked if someone drive a gt40 or any ford gt to that Ferrari event lol I gotta get a gt40 replica and drive to that event 🤣🤣🤣🤣👍👍👍👍
Now THAT is detailing at another level!
wait til you see the video on the engine and chassis restoration and detailing on the Ferrari F355 stay tuned in a few weeks for that.
Man you are at another level! Appreciate you sharing your knowledge. Absolutely love this car!
Glad you enjoy it!
too many awesome tips and tricks for sure

so classic Ferrari where as these days other colors have been the norm when ordering cars to spec.
Flawless work as always!
DAWN 4x Dish detergent works extremely well for this as well..... It works as a really foamy safe degreaser.
Beautiful! Bought HoleShot off Amazon and love it. Perfect amount of gloss!
Great job on them wheels...the whole car looks amazing for being so old👌🏽 but timeless

Can you use mineral spirits on the barrels of any wheel finish??
i never had an issue on any finish
How many miles are on this baby Phil? Since looks amazing very well taken care of.Who makes the small yellow brushes ?

Where did you get that wheel stand? I need one!
Source Garage look them up he commented and posted a link in this video already.
Only one 1/4 ounce wheel weight on that wheel? That goes to show the quality of that wheel
I would have applied tire dressing while the wheel was off the car. Just seems like it would have been a little easier.
without me wearing gloves on this blistering day it would have gotten all over me while mounting the wheel back on.

Wheel stand but no jack stand?
Don’t you think a quality ceramic layer like CarPro D-Lux will NOT harm that paint finish???
on older car I honestly never would suggest any ceramic coating since the solvents in them can react with the older broken down paint finishes. I've seen it happen before.
You didn’t take the badges out the wheel?
of course i did i was dying of sweat shooting this video the Iphone never recorded all the clips with my greasy hands
Auto Fanatic sweeet! I was gonna say haha.
Freakin hate cleaning tires. Especially my 37” jeep MT’s. Nothing seems to get them totally clean.
mineral spirits in a spray bottle, try it been doing that for long time on lifted trucks, use a stiff brush and go around and then rinse wheel.
I need some more wheel cleaning foam now I've seen this🙈
order quick not much left in stock or on Amazon

Out of interest, why didn’t you ceramic coat the wheel that offers far greater protection than a wax (especially on wheels).
because a ceramic coatings solvents can affect such an old finish and its just too risky since these wheels are not aluminum but magnesium which absorbs any moisture instantly into its pores. I have seen shops ceramic coat old wheels for the finish to yellow in areas. age breaks down the painted finish so you really need to take caution on older cars if your looking to preserve them.

That wheel design has not aged well at all. If you look from the back, it just looks like your average Prius rim.
