- Star Wars Black Series Archive wave 2 continues what wave 1 started: Giving us improved versions of older figures while also bring harder to find toys back to market. Anakin Skywalker, Yoda, and Darth Maul are improved by better face paints (although Maul has some weirdness to it) and then it's cool to army build Scout Troopers without hving to buy the Speeder Bike again.

Cody needs an updated figure, not a reissue. They need to add a removable helmet and the better elbow joints that Rex had.

Everything you said at the end is true. Im so glad, that Hasbro rereleased them. Because of the archive series I could finally own a scoutrooper and I could complete the bounty hunters with Bossk and IG-88. Thanks for the funny and detailed reviews.

I was so happy when Hasbro decided to start the Archive Collection. Now I could finally get figures I missed out on without paying exorbitant prices on the secondary market.

Great review. Thank you for the speech at the end. I have no sympathy for people complaining about reissues or devaluing previous figures. I’ve been collecting these since they came out and I want people to have access to old figures.
These people complaining are the real-life version of the human villain from Toy Story 2.
The Scout Trooper's design still feels fresh over 35 years after ROTJ came out. I'm so glad they re-released the Black Series figure!
totally agree with your end statement. I saw so many people complain about the super7 Thundercats wave. I don't have 200 for ebay lion-o and mum ra. I don't mind re-issues cause it allows me to save my money for the next round. Most times I try to help people on reddit forums to find figures they don't have yet. Hoping figures go up in value is not the reason to be collecting.
Now Hasbro just needs to do this type of stuff for Marvel Legends. I know that there's the vintage line but those are redesigns. I want a true rerelease of Marvel Legends from when it came back. Great video again Robo! Your videos really do make my day!

That intro was amazing lol. It's great to see you reviewing these figures, especially since they don't have much traction. I have most of the wave except for the scout trooper which I am iffy on due to it not having a speed bike. Nonetheless you keep your well balanced humor and honesty in this review. Great as always Robo!
I just got DarthMaul and Anakin on a local gamestop.. I got the Yoda at a local Walmart for $11 cause it's in the wrong spot... Will do an unboxing of those in the future.. Thanks to your vids robo, you insipired me to make more videos!
Thanks for the outro...that is where I'm at as well. I didn't start collecting BS line until late in the game so I missed out on a lot of the OG figs so I really appreciate the opportunity the archive series affords me to get my hands on these without paying a scalper or getting duped by a Chinese knockoff.

I was lucky enough to find Yoda in a Gamestop just the other day and I gotta say, having never owned the original (I only got into the Black Series line sometime after Solo came out), I love him. Have him standing with his cane, slightly hunched, next to archive Luke and somehow, this little green figure is one that still makes me smile just for having it in my collection.
I was Able to Pose Him Holding His Cane with Both Hands Clasped over It like He did in ESB. Here's some pics of Him from My Instagram.

Got to be honest. I have long been a careful opening box/package person. To see you rip open that blister pack with force makes me gasp and my heart skip a beat.

Another great review of 4 great figures that I ordered off Hasbro Pulse awhile back.
And AMEN to your opinion that I agree with that these are TOYS to buy and enjoy. All those scalpers that are pissed that they fear their originals will drop in value, then they just dont get it.

Gotta get all of them. Missed out on all but the Scout trooper, but I gotta get him too cause it'll look great to have him next to the bike and the other trooper like they're having a conversation or something...plus i just love scout troopers

I'm extremely happy with the archive collection. I really wanted an Anakin and a Yoda, thankfully I already had Darth maul so I only needed 2 figures from this wave and I'm so happy Hasbro is re-releasing the older figures again. I'm getting a lot of the older figures I missed out on the first time, Hasbro is very smart and they really are looking out for the fans and these archive waves prove that.
I bought all 4 of those figures a few weeks ago! They’re cool figures! For my Anakin figure, his left arm pops out. I didn’t break it or anything, it still works fine.
I own the Darth Maul figure. It's pretty cool.

Hey Robo, big fan of your videos. Totally agree with you on this, it gives others a chance to get figures who missed out when they released the first time...I recently got into the line and was able to significally make my collection more diverse due to the archive figures. Hope you and your loved ones are safe...
Finally picked up this scout trooper! Feel like I’ve been after it for years at a decent price! My absolute favourite trooper!
Yoda’s head sits a little high. I’ve fixed that before by shaving a slice off the top of the ball and jamming a hot soldering iron into it before jamming the head back on. But I’m rough as guts when customising things

Great summary at the end here. I honestly wish Hasbro would do this approach of reissues with Marvel Legends too. I missed out on a few of these archive figures and I appreciate them being re-released AND with various improvements!
There's no pressure to buy them all, or buy them AT ALL. Just buy 'em if you want them! Hasbro has made some great choices when it comes to the Archive collection. I hope they continue to do these, but I'm sure they're reaching the point where the selections aren't so special now.

Every now and again there's a figure that makes me wanna be an on card collector. Might have to get an extra Maul. I've just accepted that Anakin and Yoda are just figures that need a redo. Yoda I'd accept single joint elbows if that's necessary for bicep rotation. Head still holds up though. Solid wave, I'm glad for it

Totally agree with you on that last comment. One of the main reasons why I got back into collecting these black series figures was because of the archive waves
It must be nice to have a Gamestop that sells Black Series. Or any shop that sells them, for that matter.
None of my stores ever have anything. All of my figures end up being Internet purchases. Be it Big Bad Toy Store, Toywiz, or eBay.

You're totally right with your little shpeel at the end of your video, I always wanted anikin and the biker scout and I needed ig 88 to finish my bounty hunters but the online prices were just so undermotivating, this has revitalized my love for the line and I've spent maybe a little too much now that I'm back into it lol!!

I love the Archive Series! I've gotten Boba Fett, Bossk, IG88, Anakin, and Darth Maul so far. Man I can't unseen the inaccuracies on the Darth Maul head. LOL

Not sure if I've ever commented before, But I've watched a Lot of your figure reviews, This was good for me because I was thinking about getting a second Darth Maul (Just to display one with robed head, as well as the extra (angrier) head without the outer robes) Also I now see the improvements on Anakin so I'll probably get that at some point too, I already got the Biker Scout Trooper with (And without) The speeder (For same reasons you had, One on the Speeder, One standing with other soldiers) As for Yoda, the face is a Mega improvement and I'm glad I never got the old one, Thanks for all these great videos that help me make decisions about figures, Being able to see them out of packaging before buying online, Most eBay sellers use ''Hasbro promotional pics from Google image search'' and that makes me cautious !!! Sometimes I'd rather buy an open figure because the seller shows the actual item for sale, Your videos are the Best for SW 6 inch figure collectors !!! have a good day

Finally found this Anakin in a Wal-Mart and I passed to get a Mattel Alfred Pennyworth anniversary fig. In the end I’m glad I did it (even though I’ve been looking for this wave forever!)

Hey Robo, Great Review. All of these Figures are Great Looking Figures and Improvements Over the Original Release figures. But Yoda is My Favorite Star Wars Character, and I am Loving this new Archive Release. Not only because of the Photo-Real Paint Apps, but even Though You couldn't get Him in the Pose they have somehow made Him Able to Hold His Cane with Both Hands Clasped over It like He did in TESB. Something the Original Release Yoda Couldn't do. I passed on the Original 6" Black Series Release all 3 Times the Walgreen's I shop at, got Him back in 2014. I wasn't Collecting Black Series figures at that time, but I was tempted since it was Yoda, but every one I saw looked Terrible in the Box. The Robes were literally falling apart and fraying, and the Paint Apps were Horrible! I Hated the White Paint Hasbro Slathered on for His Hair and Sideburns. There was No Way I could justify paying $20 for Him. Fast Forward to 2016 after I started collecting Black Series figures, and I traded some figures for Him at around $60-$80 in value, but I still wasn't happy with Him, which is why I tried doing a Black Wash on the Head, to try and do something about that Hair. I couldn't believe I did it to Him after giving that much for Him, but after I was done I Loved Him! The hair is still too thick, but He Looked Fantastic compared to the way He looked Originally. My Only Real Complaint after that was him not being able to Hold His Cane with Both Hands, which is why I got 3 Archive Yodas. One to Keep MOC, One to Open, and One I was planning to Give a Bicept Swivel, but Now I don't need to do the Bicept Bicept Swivel. I might make the 3rd one into a Prequel Yoda now. Oh heck yeah, getting the Lucha Bros in plastic form is amazing, and adding in Laredo Kid is even better. Love Boss Fight and can't wait to see how they turn out.

The Maul face paint are different figure to figure. The Maul I picked up has connecting lines.

The Anakins blue blade always looked that colour the one you compared it to was the X-Wing Luke figures saber. No changes to the lightsaber on Anakin

I got Anakin. Definitely like the figure, but I wish the neck joint wasn’t so obvious and visible. Also would prefer if the soft goods was a little more form-fitting like the SHF. But overall, pretty great figure. Great reviews Robo

-Phase II Clone Trooper with updated elbow joints

For 22.99 I already have the scout for years now for barns and Noble with the bike. I was looking at one today at gamestop and I don't know what to think. I will probably get a new one
