- It's not always ideal to rebuy the same figures but adding Photo Real and tightening up the paint applications on the Hasbro Star Wars Black Series Rebel crew makes it a whole lot easier. Ahsoka, Kanan, Hera, and especially Sabine just look so much better!

Rebels is such an underrated series. I properly enjoyed it. Might need a rewatch now.
Hasbro got season 1 defaults for the wave. Now they just need to make seasons 3 and 4 Kanan, S3-4 Ezra, 3-4 Zeb, 3-4 Hera, and
Season 2, 3, and 4 sabine variants. And maybe different chopper paint jobs

When the it first came out and I watched on XD Channel, (There wasn’t Disney Plus back then), I was like 9-10, and every scene of the inquisitor was to me very cool, I was like “WOOOOW! That villain is super KOOL!” Now I’m like, you know, not like that. But it was still a great show. I would say this is better than clone wars in some ways because the story is based on the ghost crew, while CW went all over the place.

The Sabine is an insane improvement

I believe these are supposed to be the season 1 and 2 versions of the ghost crew,got a feeling they might do a other season 3/4 version later tho

I really like the new packaging quite a bit, but what's the point of having that "easy to browse" angled side when these are no where to be seen in stores, and if they do make it to stores, there's only like 2 boxes left by the time I get there lol! Hopefully stores will start to receive more of these by the end of the year...
Craziest thing... saw Hera and Sabine at my local Gamestop, immediately snatched them up. Got them home and Hera is amazing (mine even has the eyebrows on right!) and then I looked at Sabine and -
It's the old figure. In the new box. No faceprinting, old paintjob, the whole nine. I've looked at the packaging and it appears to be unopened... the tape is all intact. Not sure what happened... maybe it got mixed up somewhere in the production process?
This is a pretty big bummer though because that new Sabine faceprinting is RAD. Tried to take it back to Gamestop but they don't have any more in stock so a return is my only course of action. I contacted Hasbro, still waiting on the response from them.
Ultimately though I may have to return and hope Gamestop gets a new one back in stock sometime soon!

I only started my BS collection in April so I was so glad for the re-release. I actually watched Clone Wars and Rebels for the first time during lockdown too. I got the a week or two ago (UK) and my Hera's eyebrow looks fine, at least in the light I just double checked it in. I'm waiting on Sabine, I ordered her first with other figures that aren't due till next month and the site I used ships all items together.
I wish Hera came with a second head wearing her flight helmet.

I don’t know if I would go back and buy all of the rebel figures. But if they re-did rogue one I would re-buy them all! And yes we need that Bodde rook

We need more Rebels figures... Agent Kallus, Older Rex, Grand Inquisitor. They could fill out a wave with season 3 versions of Ezra, Kanan etc.
I don't think Hera and Kanan look too bad originally but Sabine and Ahsoka desperately needed this. Super happy that I can put Sabine on my shelf with her helmet off now.
Yeah, Hera was later when they were trying to tighten those paint apps, and Kanan and Ahsoka fell into that "don't look too close" territory. But Sabine was always nightmare inducing.

I'm so glad to finally have all of the Phoenix crew together, with photo-real, able to be put up on my shelf. I was bummed when Disney Infinity stopped production and never finished the team and the wait seemed so long between the original releases and Ezra, Chopper, & Zeb I was worried it would never happen, but not only did it happen, the re-releases with photo real for the original releases is just *chef's kiss*
It's the first time in a LONG time I bought two of each so I can display them open and sealed, especially with that awesome box art.
I like how you were pointing at all the details with a lightsaber and using the little needle-nose pliers to hold the accessories
So need a Bohdi Rook and the whole rouge 1team photo-realed up.
Hasbro needs to put out A New Hope Han, Luke and Leia also old obi-wan with face print but since they did they vintage card backs they should put them on the Power of the Force card backs.
I gotta think those are a lock for sure at some point.
There was a scene in one episode of Rebels where Sabine was possessed by ghosts so technically the original is kind of accurate

I wish they would have provided extras to make these figures able to resemble their later looks, like a new Ezra head, and Kanan with his face shield.

I’ve noticed the newer figure’s lightsabers are thicker and have larger tighter pegs going into the hilts. I actually snapped my episode 9 Rey saber trying to remove the blade and had to buy another one 🙄

Ahsoka's face is a big improvement on the old one. It's too bad her articulation (torso and legs mainly) is so horrible 'cause otherwise it's a very nice figure. I feel like they could've made the blades more pronounced "white" 'cause they just look like a pale blue. Great vid as always, Robo!
Yeah, I'll probably swap the sabers to keep the whiter blades with the new improved Ahsoka.
Agreed, she had blue sabers in Clone Wars season 7, not in Rebels.

That new Kanan looks like John Travolta.
I just realized you could make a Shaak ti from the old Force unleashed games If you used an Ahsoka head and that old Princess Leia body, assuming it fits. You’d need to change the lower legs, but otherwise, it’d be possible. It’d need to be barefoot.
Edit: I realized you’d also have to remove that head band thingy Ahsoka has in between her montrals and her forehead.
I think I got a bad Hera, too. Mine doesn't have an eyebrow issue, but, the lip color on mine looks too low. Like they missed the upper lip.

Even before the Black Series figure had been released, I had often wondered how the Star Wars Rebels style of Hera Syndulla would've appeared in a realistic way.
When the space combat game "Star Wars Squadrons" had been released for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on October 2nd and for Xbox Series X/S on December 3rd of 2020, Hera was meant to look like a realistic version of how she had appeared of Star Wars Rebels.

The face printing looks great, but it's pretty hard for me to justify re-buying all of these just for better faces. I might cave on Kanan, but that's probably it.

My only problems with the Ahsoka figure are lack of elbow range and her blades are too blue. Should've been more of a milky or pearly white.
I have the older Sabine and I display her with the helmet on. (I'm a Mandalorian fan.) I'm disappointed they didn't improve Sabine's helmet. The details don't pop!

I think I got the first Ahsoka, and I know first Kanaan, but only saw Chopper ONCE, never saw any of the others. Can't get any SW stuff that's not directed towards kids, around here.

Thank you for pointing out all that BUTT UGLY SCOTCH TAPE holding these crap new boxes together. I know everyone is enamored with the fancy colors and artwork on the sides, but I hate them because of that damn tape. And the angled side is a gimmick I could do without. No one is going to display 10-15-20 boxes across a shelf to align a continuous artwork diorama once the count gets up that high. Whatever. I lost the rant battle with these new boxes months ago. They are what they are....re the figures, I love Hera! She’s a Goddess. I thought her original face was a beauty, but the new one makes her look so much better. Sabine is a great upgrade too! But so far Pulse and Dorkside haven’t shipped her out yet. I’m starting to worry I may not get her. Not sure what the delay is. Lastly Ahsoka looks great too. I have the TCW figure from Walmart on preorder, but that’s another one delayed. Walmart better NOT cancel that one. But I think compared to this one it looks very cartoony. We’ll see. Dang did I ramble on this long? Who the F is going to read all my gibberish?
