Another grand video with good chitchat Sarah. I love seeing work where folk have shied away from the commercially available stamps and use their own. For some reason I have 2 sets of the blue indent tools and I find using them for smoothing corners, accenting carvings and testing my knee reflex works well. Stay well be safe and enjoy.

Another inspiring video! I have 60 or so handmade stamps, but none are interlocking - what a brilliant idea. I'll be making some this week. Thanks for continuing to provide such quality content.
Another fab video - thanks! I bought a mandala set and it came with the blue / metal ball tools so I think they're for doing mandala spot designs. Dip in glaze / underglaze and dab on clay to make a lovely dot.
Hi Sara Those blue tools are used for sculpture work. Also, they came in a tool kit that I bought to paint the dots on the dotted mandala plates seem popular now! I lo ve to make stamps💗 thank you for your videos. Linda from Cape Cod USA

Would you mind telling me the material you use to cover a kiln self when firing a large piece to help reduce warping. I think it may be silica something, something. Thanks again and please keep your videos coming!!!
Thanks Dawn. I use silica sand which is just a very very fine white sand. I have bought from my clay supplier and I reuse it each time. I had a 2kg box for years! Hope that helps. Thanks for watching 😀
The ball shape tools are for smoothing modeling clay for example Sculpey Clay it's an clay that doesn't dry out but can be baked when you are done with it .

I have quite a few I have made...but think I need to do a few more...and will be prepping for the next week or so---trying to get much done before I spend another weekend "on call" for work....
Hi Kd - I make the stamps one day, leave them just lightly covered by plastic and then carve the following day. Sometimes it's 2 days before they get done. They are pretty forgiving and you could spritz with water if they get too dry. Great way to make you own style of stamps
@@thepotterycorner thank you---you had mentioned stamp making/or had a video a while back---and I made a great batch...but feel as I grow I need more/different stamps..as always--thank you for such great content/instruction.....
Try using pool noodles on the feet of your wonky pots. Cut slightly longer than the feet, fill with scrap foam seal bottom with tape. I also use pool noodles in corner of my boxes. So far nothing has broken.

They are also used in doll making for eye sockets. They’re called eye ballers.
