    Hello Sarah, I love your videos and learned a lot. I made two wonky pots there we’re fired 2 times. I’m not very happy with the result as I should have made holes on the bottom. Is it possible to make holes with a dremmel without risking to brake the pot?

    • @thepotterycorner
      @thepotterycorner 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi and thanks so much for your note. I don't put holes in the bottom of my wonky pots but leave the plant in a plastic plant pot so that I can take it out to water from the bottom. I don;t think it would be possible, without a lot of trouble, to put holes in after firing. It's all a learning curve and I;m pleased you've enjoyed making your own. Keep going!

      Hiya and thanks for watching this tutorial again and making the project. I have used a clay called PB10 which is a stoneware clay but almost porcelain - so very white when fired. I generally use this clay for throwing as it can be tricky for handbuilding but if you let the slabs dry out a bit it's manageable. I am hoping to get back to videoing tutorials for TH-cam. I'm afraid life has rather got int he way and I don't have as much free time to dedicate to this at the moment. Thanks for the message. Very kind. Sarah

      Hi Joan and thanks for watching. I guess I would use about 1 part Oxide to 20 parts water. There are other videos on my channel using oxides so may be worth checking out too. I hope this helps. Cheers Sarah

    A lovely video. Probably also good to have a mask when grinding glass into dust.

    Would putting the slip patterns on baking parchment release the paint more easily....I need to do this. Thank you great demo. Bx

      Thanks so much for watching. I haven't tried baking parchment - it might work but the moisture in the slip needs to soak into the paper that you use and I think parchment might not do that. Have a go and let me know the results! Thanks again

    Could you alternate tree transfer and deer stencil to get some behind the trees and others in front?

    • @thepotterycorner
      @thepotterycorner 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Lisa and thanks so much for watching. Yes - you definitely could do this. Adding the slips/stencils in a different order would give you this appearance. Thanks Sarah

    But didn’t you chop the head off the deer you put on the back?😊

    What about using these on leather hard or bisqueware?

    • @thepotterycorner
      @thepotterycorner 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi and thanks for watching. You could definitely use the dremel on bisqueware. I don't think i'd risk the fagility of greenware myself. Hope that helps. Sarah

    What a beautiful studio you have! You are my kind of potter to use all those molds. I haven't used them a lot but have a lot purchased. I will have to make some also. Your work is just so beautiful!
