Gregg Bisonnette on drums with Ringo. Gregg played with David Lee Roth in 1986 with Steve Vai and Billy Sheehan, and believe me, Gregg and the rest of them were the best band ever created. You can see Gregg with Dave in the "Yankee Rose" and "Goin' Crazy" videos. They were fucking incredible LIVE.
I can't believe these guys still sound this good... the solos, the vocal tone, even the sampled "stroke" chorus to make it feel like the original recording...wow, if I knew it was this good, I'd have made sure to see them live... :O
Everytime I hear this can't help but think of 2 important people behind Billy's sound at that time / album RIP Bobby Chouinard (drummer) and Frank Levi III (sound designer / Marshall mod God) I miss them both :(
I was there BECAUSE of Billy :) Going forward, my wish is for him to take advantage of a deleted concert circuit of Classic Rockers and hit the road for 20 shows or do a residency in Vegas & NYC :) We go way back and he is another on that list of those I always see on tour! Good times.
whats good for billy is bad for us . that being he is a very very rich man because he owns all his publishing and hes the most sampled artist in hip hop history so he doesnt need to tour to make money. i hope he does one more tour hes 74 years old so if he does hopefully its sooner rather than later
@@bb-gc2tx Yep, will be 74 on May 12. He s yet another that I have much history with! His PA and I keep in loose touch. Now would be the perfect time for a tour return.
@@jeffreyg607 you know his pa? im retired nypd i worked many hours at ground zero every september i listen billys 911 tribute a version of sweet release he did. any chance help me get autograph from billy on lyric sheet that song?
Dammit, this is an amazing version of this song! Billy's voice, in my opinion, is better than it was two decades ago, and if I may say so, he's quite the daddy!
to turn back to 1981 ... it was a good time in life! Especially my brother's Houston visit. We had our Billy Squier cassettes and each other; that's about all we needed! Rock and Roll forever.
Yeah, Billy got a bum rap because of that video. I saw him open for Foreigner in Nashville on their "4" tour. 12,000 people with their fists in the air shouting "STROKE! STROKE!" was co cool.
????? Doobie Brothers had two drummers (plus a percussionist) for decades. And, Ringo is the MC... so he doesn't want to be stuck playing all the time.
Adam Berger yeah...a stage full of,legends, having the time of their lives, playing classics for a paying, loving audience. Go troll elsewhere, shmuck.
Other than grey hair Billy sounds, plays, and look like he did in the 80's. I'd pay to see him do a concert with a mix of all his old stuff.
Weird seeing him with short hair.
I agree!
This is a great version of The Stroke. Billy sounds great. Nice post.

A great one then and now! Rock on Billy Squier and Ringo! 💋
How big a star would Billy be today if not for the rock me tonght video

Top notch drummer GB.

Billy squire deserves to be in the Rock-'n'-roll hall of Fame. Peace to you i hope your wish comes true. He is even better in concert😊

Simply Fantástic 🎵🎼🎶🎸😎👊
Sounds great!!
Billy Squire still rockin !! Thank you Ringo 😊
Ringo is the Maestro!
poor Squier.... he deserved better. That one video killed him

Ringo is legend. Keeps the backbeat no matter
Oh my God, Billy Squier is gorgeous! Wow, baby, sexy man and seems really considerate too.
I've always liked the sound of the Fender Strat better than any Gibson. It just cuts through.
This is damn good.
AWESOME OH THE 80S
Man he still sound great
Billy went to and fro.....ROCK ME TONIGHT
awsome song, awsome band but the audience depressed me.. they dont deserve to see billy live.
The audiences audio is cut out except for a select few parts and there are chairs in that place because it’s not meant to be a mosh king of concert
Last kind words
amazing!!!! what a sexy drumming!!! I mean Rich´s of course...
Peculiar versión, Billy entre los grandes.
All star lineup here. Billy with Ringo? And the rest of the band. Absolute killers here. Would love to see this act perform.
WOW!!!! RINGO STARR on the Drums
Billy underrated guitar player
nice version, the 80s rule
Sweet!!!!
Just looking at that crowd sitting there like they couldn't care less SUCKS - Squier is a phenomanal artist... Sounds GOOD all these years later.
I recognize Colin Hay, Gregg Bissonnette, and is that Edgar Winter?
♥️♥️♥️♥️👍🏼
Fuck yes... So damn good. Been a fan even before this track... Check out Piper...
Saw Piper with Angel at Warner Theater in DC
¡Excelente! Un guiño baterístico a 'Dragon Attack', de Queen, por parte del gran Greg Bissonette.
5.03 the foot kick.
❤❤❤❤🎉
I haven't heard billy squire since the early nineties. The band dusted billy out of the closet.sounded good.
Grreat!!)
What the hell happened to Billy homie fell off the map they gets up here and rocks the show ????? Wtf mAn
1:24 ¡Qué pasa Tío! Gran Billy
this this is real music not that crap hey make today
What is it with the two drummer thing? Ive only seen that in recent times. Its weird.
????? Doobie Brothers had two drummers (plus a percussionist) for decades. And, Ringo is the MC... so he doesn't want to be stuck playing all the time.
I thot Edgar Winters was dead. Dude on the keyboards sure looks like him...but I know it isn't.
+Burien Ron Johnny Winters is dead. Brothers.
Gregg is the best wingman ever.
☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆
What is that dead crowd 😒
I was the exception, trust me :) I stay in shape and don't believe in sitting through concerts! To the Pit :)
Not bad. Back up singers need a little more soul to their performance though.
Ringo v Bobby C... Hmmmm 🤔
Wink 😉
BC :) Much missed.
turn it into a night club mush act
why ruin such a great guitar part?
This is kind of sad.

People enjoying themselves is sad? Your life must be fun.
Who says Classic Rock is Dead. I dont think so
