I have had this helmet for a few years and love it. Super comfortable and easy to use. The tinted visor is a must. Able to use in and out of shady spots while riding. I had to order a couple of parts that had snapped off because of a small crash and the costumer service was amazing. Sent out what I needed right away so I could get back to riding in comfort.

I love this helmet! I have had mine for a few years now. It has over 30,000 miles of hell put on it and is just now showing signs of wear on the fabric in side the helmet. The tinted shield is AWESOME. I will buy another one for sure. Best DS helmet at this price for sure!!! I know guys who paid big $ for the higher end helmets and Wish they would have bought this one. Great features, Comfortable, and pretty damn tough.
You said the helmet fits very true to size but failed to describe what head shape it fits best. I really like when you include that info because I am a fairly long oval head size so if the shell is best for a round head shape I know I would need at least 1 size larger.
The size medium we used for this video was a bit over 3 lbs. while the size large weighs 3.69 lbs. according to AFX's website. Thanks for checking out the video!

Yes, the ear cavities are big enough for speakers.
Would it be ok to use this or the FX-39 for motocross if you remove the shield?
With this helmet, yes, you could take the visor off and use it for that.
Would it be super heavy though?

Is the visor polarized?
Unfortunately there is only a clear and smoked shield available for this helmet.
