WHAT an experience and for you both Tony, priceless!
It’s been absolutely delightful, Bruce. All the best mate 👍😃😃
Thanks for taking us along for the ride, Tony and Hazel! The joy is apparent. The dream is becoming reality. I have happy memories of Leeuwarden, having spent the night there in the prison... it has been converted into a hostel and the cells are now bedrooms. It's a great place, and typical of the Dutch, thinking of a logical way to repurpose an old and beautiful building.
Thanks Chris. That sounds very much like the Youth Hostel in Ottowa, which is also an ex prison, still complete with barred cells! (Well, it was back jn the ‘90s when we were there) 🤔😎
You two are having a ball. Save some bread for me please. Tony would you please consider including a map in your videos so that mere mortals like me from down under can better appreciate your travels. Also looking forward to the day you try the wind vane. Happy travels.
Thanks Ross. Fair enough mate. I’ll try to get a map in there! 👍😃
The canals look so well maintained there (compared to some here in the UK), loved looking at the traditional boats along the way.
Thanks Billy. Generally speaking, everything in the Netherlands is better maintained than in the UK. And the money that’s been spent on public infrastructure is mind boggling! 🤔
Thank you, Tony, for the video update. The IJsselmeer was amazingly calm sailing. Hazel's bread looked delicious. Nothing beats the smell and taste of fresh, homemade bread. Have a great weekend and enjoy Amsterdam.
Thanks Matt. Have a great one yourself! 😃😃
hi guys looking very good 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😄
Thanks Greg 😃😃
Another really interesting vlog Tony. Mmmm I can smell that bread from here 😀
Thanks Chris 😃😃
Very enjoyable cruise, thanks!
Thank you! 😃
Hi Tony, I've watched from the very first show and it's so great to see you sailing the boat with hazel. Congratulations!
Thank you Tony. Much appreciated 😊
Thanks Tony and Hazel! Interesting cruise!
Thank you 😃😃
So beautiful. Holland is always nice but especially during spring.
Thanks Dan. It is! 😃
Just catching up with your journey…it appears the you and your lovely crew are doing quite well….continued safe and eventful sailing…it is fantastic seeing you successfully out and about…steady as she goes…stay safe..
Thanks Norman 😃😃
That is a lot of dock in the sentence: docking on a dock in Dokkum, 😜😂😂👍nice video again
That sail boat event is the famous Skutsje sailing contest, it is a race between 11 sailing boats (Skutsje in the Frisian language) like in the equally famous 11 steden ice skating contest.
Yes we remember those pesky flies especially during deadwood and then it is stinking hot on the water 😅😎
Thank you Henk. That’s interesting information 😃😃. Certainly a great spectacle of an event 👍
Change of weather, from foul gear to summer wear, until those darn mosquitoes. To anchor after a month out at sea. Enjoy Hazel's bread. Some interesting sailboats on route.
All the best, Roland 😃😃
Wow, now that was a super nice episode, loved it! Wasn’t it so odd to have mosquitoes way out over the water? That was brutal and irritating as all get out, could drive a person mad!
I’m at home recovering from a total knee replacement, a week out from the surgery and doing well. I injured it last September and sadly the knee couldn’t be saved, it’s a hell of a lot of work though, want to get back to all the boat work you know! Thank you Tony and Hazel!
Thank you Nena!
I hope you recover quickly from your operation. My brother has had a knee replacement and he walked up Mount Kilimanjaro afterwards, so you should be good after the recovery process. All the best from us here!
Looks absolutely delightful - the trip that keeps on giving. On a technical note did the aqueduct go over the motorway or did the motorway go under the aqueduct?🤣
Have fun in Hamster Jam.😀👍⛵️
Thanks Norman. Now, that is the question 🤔
When it’s spring again, we’ll sing again…. 😂
Another great video from you Tony the bread that Hazel baked look delicious i don't envy you with the mossies they can be very irritating i recently home from Thailand that is one inscect i don't miss they don't take any prisoners good luck i hope that is the last of them 😊😊
Thank you Kevin. I can well imagine that the mossies in Thailand are more annoying than the ones we encountered, although the couple of hours they were with us were less than pleasant! 🤔
Loved this! Are you stopping somewhere before you head to Sain?
Thanks Melinda. We hope to make our way down to southern Brittany and maybe take a bit of time there before crossing Biscay 👍😃
Couldn't help but comment on the very strange arrangement of his little toes.
Comfortably curled, not strangely arranged.
I have no idea what you’re talking about! 😂😂
How much fuel are you using ? And is there any more mods you found you want to do . But looking like your having a grate time one mod might be fly net on hatch lol 😂
We use a litre an hour, Graeme. Yes, fly nets are on the list, but generally we’re good. I need to do some varnish and a few bits could be tidied up. The lazy jacks are still waiting for their final configuration 🤔
Do you fall asleep every night thinking I built this thing and it's beautiful?
Well, not every night, Chuck! 😂 Thank you!
Many people must think your English is very good for a couple of Germans 😄😄😄
Yes, Klaas. Dutch immigration were certainly interested in our nationalities 😂👍
@@SVTapatya 🤣🤣🤣
Hopefully those mosquitoes weren't Bill Gates's mosquitoes.....🙃
I doubt it! 😂😂
