Remember that to switch voice guidance on and off, you have to press “Menu”, “Settings”m “Vocal” and the tick or untick “Activate Navigation Messages”. All a bit convoluted; there should just be a button on the map allowing alerts to be on, off or alert-only!
It’s because it’s a paid service, basic navigation is already set up but if you purchase the live connect subscription you then need to activate it in the vehicle.
Most unintuitive software I've seen in a car, if you put ikea in for example rather than showing you the closest it defaults to Austria 921 miles away. OK car, OK
