Uthman Dan Fodio is the founder of the Islamic caliphate of Northern Nigeria, my state Adamawa emirate is part of that caliphate that stretches far into Northern Cameroon. A great man he was. May Allah have mercy upon his soul.

Dan Fodio was no different from Al Baghdadi, Shekau, Bin Laden etc.

Dan Fodio established an Empire. That makes him special.

There terrorists creating empires like Al Baghdadi that I mentioned etc.
We should not encourage terrorists in any guise. Dan Fodio met Islam in northern Nigeria but he killed many Muslims, (some during prayers in mosques) and he colonised the natives.
