Ive been wearing this watch for 2 years, in harsh conditions. I have had no problems with charging, it illuminates great at night when I need it. The moon phase has been spot on.
Just received mine today and love the look and features. bulky but very cool in my opinion. Got for an everyday type of use and tend to be hard on my stuff so this should fit the bill. My last G-shock is still working since 1983... Had no problem with getting it to sync for the time calibration.
since you seem to be an experton clocks i got a question my dad bought a casio clock in the 70's and the battery ran out last year as in the original battery that came with it ran out 2010 is this normal with clock batteries or is it special? it is a silver casio watch square with a "positive" display
i just got this watch and i can honestly say this is a great watch. one thing im worried about is if the screws will wear after numerous encounters with water?

Just got mine 2 days ago and love it. If the instructions are too hard, go to the Casio home page and DL the pdf version. It is much easier to understand and read. This watches fits great, is light and does not look big on my small wrists(6-1/4").

I'm in Denmark and the winter here can, in extreme cases, be as cold as 5 degrees Fahrenheit with the chill factor making it feel even colder. I could buy the 9000 but I want the solar/atomic. I have to say that this is one of the best looking g-shock in the market, and it is reasonably priced either. I think that a Rangeman with this color palette and the moon fase functionality/tidal graph would be the defintive g-shock
I have the stealth multi band six (this watch in the video) and over the year the strap has stretched a bit and now kinda feels too long. You know when you get the excess strap coming through the keeper? Anyway I'm really annoyed about this cause the watch is amazing so does anyone have any suggestions? If I wear it slightly the band doesn't stick out but it looks and feels bad. Any help would be great. Wish they made shorter straps or give you the option. Thanks!
In this video you are wearing the strap tight. I like my straps to be a little loose so their is no pressure on the wrist. Can this watch be worn comfotably loose ?

I'm thinking of getting a 7900 but can't decide on colour. So far I've a white 5600 and 6900. Is this bigger than the mudman cause I've a very small wrist, about 6.5. As always, great review mate. @MrJesusjuice123 Also you need to check for a watch band having a double row of holes for added strengh. That probably will not matter as this is only for training, still: look for one with a matte finish to avoid giving away your position with the sun. And of course use those plastic bands: the band can be adjusted fast and will not retain water like textile bands do.
I think with the the all matte black and negative display on this watch it looks kinda cool actually! Yes its obviously not a dress watch that you would wear on a night out with smart looking clothes, but it actually looks sweet with casual gear. It has a certain urban look to it, and not just because eminem wore it in some video or something. But this watch is ideal for people in the services.
you go to the adjust settings, then press mode twice, then you should your utc offset, you must set this so your watch will realise what time zone your in (this is on the back of the instruction manual for your watch) then press adjust, and it should take you too longitude you must set that too, and press mode until you go to intervals (INT) shows above and you set that. this is what you have to do. and this is what you have to do on my watch which is the G-7900A, close to this watch in the vid
@DougFNJ yeah i seen alot of new hires at work this past weekend with G-shocks on. One had on an analog i know is pretty high. just got a mudman in today myself. surprisingly light weight.

@MrJesusjuice123 Most G-Shocks will do fine. Some have better "aspects" for your need. The GW9100 for example is rust resistant so great for salt water use. The mudman serie is also good as especially resistant to sand or mud. The watch presented in this video is great too because it is especially tough and can be used even wearing gloves without problems. Also depends if you need features like solar charging and atomic time keeping. Also check the countdown timer, not all are 24h.

@TheRealKKonVict -- The Bezel screws make it look bigger and the flaps makes it wear higher on your wrist.

I have the stealth multi band six (this watch in the video) and over the year the strap has stretched a bit and now kinda feels too long. You know when you get the excess strap coming through the keeper?
Anyway I'm really annoyed about this cause the watch is amazing so does anyone have any suggestions? If I wear it slightly the band doesn't stick out but it looks and feels bad.
Any help would be great. Wish they made shorter straps or give you the option.

I have this same exact one but my display doesn't seemed to be as defined as yours. Wtf? The negative display isn't really negative on mine.
The most useable functions of this watch are(to me): timer,time,backlight.
So I think that 70$ dw-6900 can handle most of the quests.
