- Thank you for checking out my review. This video goes over the brand new redesigned Mudman GW-9300GB. It is of the Gold Black series. Casio went back to the drawing board on this one and outdid themselves adding Moon Phase, Compass, and 999 minute stopwatch.

great reviews! bought this watch myself after seeing your review. It would be great if you did some tests to show how rugged these g-shocks are. There's homemade versions out there but nothing of great quality.
Great review man, i bought the previous mudman, the limited edition rally timer, multiband 6, tough solar, because of your review and i couldnt been more happy with it. Also i see that the price on it is coming up as time goes by. How much is this one? i really liked it.

Thank you for the review, I just received this watch and find it quite dim. Is there any way to adjust the lighting. It's the same 3260 3280 JA model.
I bought this in Singapore but mine did not come in a leather case, it came in the regular hexagon shaped metal tin. At first I did not like the gold but after a while the watch as a whole grows on me. Functions are great. It looks good overall.
I would definitely do that, humidity can be a small issue with any watch in extreme condition changes, but it is for seconds....anything beyond that and I would swap.
I like this black-gold one better than the black-red. Good review though
Outstanding design and review. One thing i don't get is why this watch has all the necessary camping features except a barometer, not sure if Casio has ever released a G-Shock with all the ABC features, and why not throw in sunset/sunrise + tide, would be awesome to see them all in one unit!
I think they are all Mud Resistant for the most part, this one covers the buttons and seals it that little bit more to assure no mud.
Hi Doug, this is by far my favourite G-Shock I've got. Second to my stealth all black rescue and black/mirror face GD-100. With these three designs in mind what other CASIO's/G-Shocks would you recommend. Thanks.
Same here.. My favorite gshock.. Not oversized. Just perfect for everyday outdoor activities..
Hi, Great review.... just bought the G-shock today and loving it.A quick question though whats the "P" that comes up above the minutes section in certain modes? The only difference in saw is that mine has a "World Time" logo in place of the "Multiband 6",do I have a different model or something!!!?
You have a different model. You have the G9300 GB and NOT the GW 9300 gb.

@DougFNJ Hey I am a huge fan of your reviews, they're very in depth and informative of the watches! But I noticed that you said in the video and stated in your description that the watch has a 999 minute stopwatch... 999 minutes comes out to a little over 16.5 hours lol. I think you may have meant 999 hours, (as one can also see that the amount of room on the "hours" display is well enough for three digits) which would really be impressive (:

Thanks for the review, Doug. About the stopwatch, is it 999 minutes, or 999 hours? The G9000-1V models have two 999 hour stopwatches.
Technically the video is a lot of times not in focus. But i like that you really show how it works compared to the guy form maverick watch reviews. He shows all the specs in a sheet but doesn' t really show how it works
How did you buy that version? I was just recently turned on to these watches and nobody sells the GB version. Just the normal one. Except for eBay. Where did you order the Japanese one from that has the carbon fiber and the atomic setting. The US one does not have those options. As I'm sure you know

Casio should make more G-Shocks with nylon bands. I had a G-9000GP but now I wear a Luminox 3951 and it is the most comfortable watch I have ever warn.
Yeah, wish their available soon in the Philippines and hope to be a little cheap.
hey doug i just got this watch and i love it but the therm is not accurate. ive calibrated it like 10 times and it keeps reading low.
i know you hafta take it off the wrist for 30 minutes to get a reading (still no dice) any advice?

This model was made in Thailand, The ones I see from Japan seem to be the watches with screwback cases.

How accurate do people find the thermometer to be on this (when worn on the wrist during exercise)?

After all this years, I'm still wearing my G-9300-1 👍. It's ok for freedive but not suitable for scuba diving. Recommended to get a proper dive computer watch for scuba diving.

I got this watch, last week. Love everything about it except the display. Mine is very hard to read. It's not nearly as bright as yours. Probably going to return it. :-(

Just a quick question. I purchased this watch on a certain bidding website but the watch was called the G-9300GB-1D. It was $200 so I want to make sure this is real when it arrives from Hong Kong. The seller has 98+ positive feedback. So are there any quick things to look out for to make sure its real??

I got the gray resin model with the green trimming, it's on the g-shock website under master of g series.
I keep my watch in a drawer with my palm pilot, pager, change for the pay phone and the DeLorean keys....seriously though nice review

i like the brown one too for some reason..although i wish it were all chocolate instead of that caramel color
Luminox also uses sapphire instead of glass or just a hard mineral and I have tested it too.

my Atomic clock is always accurate but one day it messed up and was 5 hours off so i went back to sleep so the atomic signal is not always reliable but it is accurate for most of the time. saves a llot of time especially for daylight savings

Heh, I personally prefer G-Shocks, but there are some other good brands too, Suunto, and even some Timex.
