I'm caught up at 3 episodes and it is a great show. Great cast. I was excited to see Anna Torv. Ive been a big fan. Fringe, Secret City, Mindhunter... I hope we can get Fires and The Newsreader in the States soon. Nick Offerman deserves an Emmy nomination for that spectacular performance in Ep 3.
THE BEST game adaptation of all time. Nothing even comes close! AMAZING work by the cast, you all hit the mark spot on! Love Joel and Ellie already

So happy I finally braved playing The Last OF Us last year. Been a gamer for most of my 30+ years, never been a horror fan or anything remotely close…but after much coaxing from my friends, I finally gave TLOU a try (being already aware of the story), it is such a marvel of NaughtyDog story-telling…and this adaptation makes me exceedingly proud for everyone involved, especially the co-directors and main cast. Just phenomenal work all across the board.
(Special props to the world-building, set designers, make-up artists!)
Forcing things to work... eg, 3 250cc bike engines converted to a 3 cylinder radial engine, copper to replace brake linings, grinding disc`s to replace clutches, booze/HHO/methane/compressed air for engines to run on, wheels with compressed springs wrapped in leather for tires.... oh rear brake callipers as they are hand operated and can be converted to a foot pedal 2 on each brake disc...
"The last of us" just a few more words to type... why do you have to make me say "Tloooooooooooooooouooooooooooooooooo" with a high pitch ring in my head...
While it's true that TLoU has horror elements. I always saw it more as a story of a journey and the journey was the main star beyond anything.
What an amazing Tv Show! Thank you for such good story to tell on screen!

7:09 This is the perfect explanation by Neil. Lot of people hated Part 2 because they tought Joel is the "good" guy and didn't deserve what happened to him.
It doesn't matter if he was the good guy- he was _our_ guy. There were a hundred different ways that whole "no one is a villain in their own story" theme could've played out but he chose something brutally, unnecessarily traumatic.

Now that i think about part 2 i think it has a great storytelling but it lacked good emotion like in the first game .The first game was dark but joel and ellie relationship was balancing it out .The second game was just all about teaching us about hate,revenge and forgiveness. Making small changes in the story would've made it a bit better but Neil wanted us to feel hate during the game and he succeeded.They forgot that characters come first than the story.

My only compaint in Part 2 is that they killed Joel way too fast. He died like 1-2 hours into the game. Then forced the player to play the character that killed him right after. It would of been better if he died towards the middle of the game or something.
Merle Dandridge got to play as her character in the show, that's pretty cool.
Tess was fookin incredible in this, they should have tweaked the storyline to keep her in the show a bit longer.

I really feel bad when actors don't appreciate the original content, if original does not exist neither will be the adaptation.
Druckman said they’re attempting to humanize the villains and stuff like that and I know what they’re trying but that’s what ruined the second games was the death of a major major character and not just that but having to play and learn about the villain.
Him saying that actually has me really nervous about what is gonna happen after we catch up with the end of Part 1. Like, bruh don't make me fucking suffer and ugly cry all over again. Pedro Pascal has also gotten his head fucking smashed in enough on TV. Thank youuuuu

Elliot Page (formerly Ellen Page) should’ve been casted as Ellie instead of Bella. Bella reminds me nothing of the original Ellie from the game. And she’s the most important character to get right 🤦🏽♂️
With all due respect to Elliot page…. They are way too old to play Ellie. Maybe if they had done this a few years ago, it would have been slightly passable(it still would have been a stretch) But Elliot could in no way pass as a kid today unless they put de-aging technology on them for the entire series up until last of us 2

I wouldn't get too excited for this show. The first episode could very well be a bait-and-switch. The whole series SHOULD have Mazin as director and writing credits shared between Druckmann and Mazin, but it doesn't. I'm VERY skeptical if the rest will be as good as episode 1. Don't let the mini-movie "Death of Sarah" fool you. As soon as it jumps to 2023, the whole thing grinds down. You mark my words, it's not going to turn out as good as you think it will. That no-one is really clamoring for a 2nd season/series should tell you as much.

Everyone who has seen the entire series has said it’s an incredibly faithful adaptation that even goes above and beyond to flesh out characters we knew little about
All critic reviews have been specifically for the entire series, shows a lot of confidence but the team to let critics watch the entire show months early
