This man is possibly the most talented musician in the history of recorded time. An all-out entertainer. Always gave a 3+ hour concert that gave the fans their moneys' worth. He played 21 different instruments, could write music, read music, sing, dance and about as charismatic a figure on stage as anyone you'll ever see. A true entertainer.

It was more than fun. It was Truly an Honor to witness his Greatness on stage! Prince was Always energetic & gave you much more than you expected. If it weren't for time constraints (even then he'd do more) he would have gone all night.

I think the 20 plus instruments was a strech. There is a video of him with Shelia E playing the congos. And I don't think Prince was doing to well. Nevertheless. He could play alot of instruments VERY WELL. HE WAS A ONE MAN BAND!!!! A MUSICAL GENIUS. He invented neo-soul!!! gone too soon . REST IN PEACE PRINCE!!!!!

@Elim Garak lol I just used this same argument with my 10 y/o grandson last weekend when we were arguing over which was the better entertainer - Prince or MJ. I let him present his side first, then came mine.
      Of course, I won. 😂

i saw Prince live.. many times.. & yesssss.. he was something to miss.. All that, and more. He would do 2 plus hour shows, and didn't want to stop.. then he would go somewhere with his folks and do those legendary after hours shows. then it became hard to catch him.. because he would sneak into town unannounced.. they would say tickets are on sale.. and even at the last minute.. HE STILL SOLD OUT. & i would be pissed as the fuhk. the last show of his i saw was for the "Musicology" album.. and it was a blessing.. i still have the ticket stub. it was the first time i saw him do a section that was like "Unplugged", playing acoustic guitar.. just siting with the microphone Showing you how badass'd he was.. without jumping around.. it was awesome.. i miss dude so much

I finally figured out why exactly I appreciated Prince so much besides his music. He really really demonstrated an enthusiasm while performing. There is an old school joy in selling a song he understood to his core. Look at a lot of the old school Motown, James Brown performers, they all were well trained to sell the hell out of a song, not just perform it. It so crazy to realize that most of their performances were so well rehearsed that they came off as spontaneous.

OMG! Prince was the greatest to ever be in the realm of music! The video footage of him and the Revolution performing America in Nice, France just proves this! This is so hard, funky and badass! The only way to describe what this man did is pure genius! We had a genius like this on our Earth for many years creating a bunch incredible music and we lost him in 2016 and this Prince fan can't even take that he is gone! I am happy his videos are being put up back on TH-cam so future generations can see how brilliant this man really was!

When Around the World in a Day came out, Purple Rain was still riding high in the public conscience. It was hard for some people who were stuck in a Purple Rain daze to move forward with Prince. Then just the next year he released the remarkable album Parade, which people really weren't ready for, (especially the film which was basically ignored). Prince had grown so much in short a short period of time that many fans got left behind. Even Sign O The Times was ahead of the curve. Then came The Black Album and Love Sexy, (and Madhouse 1 and 2). Many people were still discovering 1999 and Purple Rain, and Prince had moved so far into the future. It wasn't until the Batman soundtrack that the general public was ready to except something new. IMO, Parade and Sign O The Times, bookend albums, were oozing with masterpieces and was his most productive period. And then there were the many hits Price wrote for others. He could of made an album of #1 hits just on the music he gave to others. Prince, from 1980 to 1987 reached as far as any musician ever had into his mind and didn't come out for a very long time. Only Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, Steely Dan and a few others ever dared to go this distance to discover genius. I'm so glad Prince did. Peace!
