    We all know Michael wasn’t invited out for curry after he dropped his bike.
    ‘I wasn’t gonna come out anyway, I have to get up early! You’re just jealous of my lap times.’

      Marty woweee another wonderful video well thought out and cracking commentary a real nice touch would be a set of back up vans in appropriate team colours and stickered with team name all due for marty's GP racing 🏁 venue

    From a retired vintage formula 3 and clubman road racer on Ducati singles your 69 bike paint scream was a very close Mark 3. Thanks for sharing the Kawasaki story and going flat out with Mom's hand made outfit. We all had a secret good luck charm on the bike or pocket of leather gear. The ending made me laugh and I never saw it coming. Poor Mike. Even after setting a new lap record he had to pass up the celebration. Thanks Marty for including Ducati.

    While watching this video I remembered that as a child I thought how could a person that could ride on that motorcycle fit into that car towing it. It would be a few years before I understood the concept of scaling so it was quite confusing as I pondered it. I only mention this because It is just one of the wonderful memories that I’ve had watching your amazing videos. Thanks for the memories as Carol Barnett use to say (well more like sing) at the end of all her shows.

    That's how the bikes should have looked like! I ever didn't like the all green look of the original. Motor green, seat green. It allways looked like a kids toy to me. Now I see cool bikes. Trank you!

  • @SwampersRC

  • @railtrolley
    @railtrolley 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Outstanding result. Excellent work. I can't pick a favourite, they are all winners. A superb casting from Matchbox, highlighting the details really brings out how good they can look. Done like this from the factory looks like a missed opportunity, but then they had to be painted a simple colour to match the price point they were sold at.

    • @Whitehousebeetle
      @Whitehousebeetle 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Indeed. If they were not affordable, they would not be as popular as they had been. Bit of a cutting edge really. You can make these bikes up so fancy but no one would buy one at that price. That's also the reason why Marty get so much examples of cars ans bikes that were done up by their previous owners, as I've done so myself in the past. :-)

    Another great restore, Marty. Even though I don't care for custom work, (I'm a purist), there were extra models available and you weren't desecrating an irreplaceable museum piece. A lot of folks substitute Matchbox models for HO ( 1/87th) layouts, but Matchbox scale varies quite a bit. For fun, you may wish to place an HO adult figurine next to the #38 Honda motorcycle and see if he could EVER ride it! Monster bike! Thanks for your kind letter and cheers from Minnesota USA!
