Why do people think a song needs to be complicated for it to be good. This is my all time favorite Behemoth song. What makes it so awesome is the atmosphere it creates by being a bit simple and slow at some parts. Really creates a mood.
Complexity is stimulating whereas simplicity is subjectively boring and non-engaging for me. When I listen to music it is because I am chasing the stimulation of complex rhythms and the cacophony of the sounds of extreme death metal being played well. That being said, there is nothing bad about this song which I happen to enjoy because of the melody.
Hell yes well put! It's not the notes played as much as the space left and where it's left. Some of the most punishing parts I've ever found in music are big whole notes that play at the perfect time with the riff/melody and atmosphere.. The secret recipie for the elixir if life!
@@LumpyAdams Yeah less complicated music can be just as good, and I find the ironic thing to be that other music can often be very complex - just not in terms of speed or instrumental difficulty. I find ironic that in their quest for complexity they can't see it LOL.
Nergal @ the beginning is standing in front of the kit with the flames like "hey Inferno... I got your nose!!" Seriously, that drummer is on fire, wait... yep, it checks out.
I've always been fascinated by Inferno's style. Like he doesn't look he's working all that hard to get around the kit but he has massive power. Great video!
Compact technique is key to this style of drumming. It's it looks like hard work then usually they are struggling.. by staying compact and loose you can do more.
@@Job.Well.Done_01 exactly!! As with everything, less is usually more! Less wasted energy means more can be done for longer. Also remaining loose as a goose too.. tension is never good!!
Well the power comes from the microphones and triggers....he’s really not hitting very hard at all. It’s nice technique but most drummers appreciate real massive power and speed like Nils or John Longstreth.

Absolutely beautiful, clean and perfect the kind of blast that make you thrill
for real? Malta easily has to be the worst sound engineer I have ever experienced. When they come on stage, he (malta) fucks it up as in the following: Guitar volume is average or perhaps even lower average, you can barely hear Nergal's voice in the mic and Inferno's drums are the only thing that's tuned right. Malta as a sound engineer? a complete joke.
Some people point out that he's blasts are this or that. I've just watched some footage from Joey Jordison's cam and frankly Inferno's style seems so much more elegant. It's not a matter of speed or power of the blasts at all. There are quicker or stronger drummers, so what? I've never heard of the band the quickest drum player plays in, have you? Pleasure to watch, a very efficient drummer.
It seems to me that the speed of the blast beats would be determined by the bpm of the song, therefore he could be the fastest drummer in the universe but still have to drum at the speed of the damn song. People just seem so eager to be displeased.
to the people commenting on the high hat placement, just look at it relative to his first tom you don't want to be reaching over you high hat to hit it, his kit is big he looks comfortable playing it.
Bemenhorst You practice before, during, and after a show. How is touring not constant practice? I've literally never met a drummer that doesn't chill around with a practice pad, or something to warm up before a show. Maybe it's the fact he's been playing music like this live for 20 fucking years and all of his health problems. Idk, just a thought.
"I wish their stage performance was more dramatic."
- No one ever.
"And dont ever say I never gave you guys anything, get on your risers now."
- Nergal
Or drama in social media😂😂😂
Orion’s bass tone is amazing 😍😍😍😍
The editor of this video deserves every award there is. 🤘🏼🏆
Helps when you have such a great band to film

Music snobs, the worst kind. They like thinking they have more knowledge about a certain art because it's COMPLEX.

BTW inferno is a beast fuckin love that dude! And in big leather biker boots! Just amazing

Am I the only one who has waited years for some quality Inferno drum cam videos?? This is great!
A fckn machine.. amazing to watch
Hands down one of the best live bands on the planet 🙌 🤘
Imo prob one of the most underrated metal drummers.
One heck of a drummer! And that drum sound!
the guy who is so light and precise, by the looks of it, he never cracks a cymbal.
If you crack a Paiste Rude... Houston we've got a problem!
Nergal @ the beginning is standing in front of the kit with the flames like "hey Inferno... I got your nose!!"
Seriously, that drummer is on fire, wait...
yep, it checks out.
It's minimalistic choas! Love all his nuances I didn't catch on the album.

@@tiberiusclaudiusnerogermanicis I’ve noticed he doesn’t overly exert himself and uses a more disciplined technique to accentuate his playing.

Love.....probably My favorite track they've ever written.
That bass tone is sick as hell!
their live sound is awesome

Amazing sound quality. Sickdrummer is the best!
Awesome!
Saw behemoth in Gothenburg this winter, they were amazing!
Mikey Coleman They come from Poland.
This was nickname.
Even with all the joint problems he has, Inferno can still rock it. 🤘🏻
Inferno é um excelente profissional! 🤘🏾👏🏽
Blast your drum beats... Infernoooo
My favorite Behemoth song of all time!!!!
Really cool this featuring from Yoko Ono in the beginning.
LOL 😂
Pure perfection!
Damn and hes playing double with biker boots on lol
Logan Wilder He says the boots are very comfortable for drumming.
EL _Wilder88 when I play double bass I need a shoe with some weight, I find it easier to relax my feet
I'm no drummer but Gene Hoglan plays with ankle weights apparently
DPRA that's called fat....
Boots áre best for your foot to play drumms!! They are triggers for speed
My Paiste brother from another......killing it as usual!
i recognize that screaming sample at the start, it’s diamanda galas
Yes. YES. YEEEEEEEES FINALLY!
0:09 at first I thought that was someone in the audience
Hahaha!
Same xD. I was like "What the fuck!?"
That was Diamanda Galás from the album Shrei X
☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️😂😂😂😂
Rafael Ramos i love that woman!
Such precise drumming. Awesome.
And I the only one who was afraid that drink was going to fall over at 5:27? Lol
Fantastic Drummer!!!! Hail.
very original way to play drums in this kind of songs and so good GREAT!
just awsome power.
Awesome drummer!
dude your marsh mellows are burning!!!!

George killoas I think that's how you spell it
Maybe John Longstreth

@@Hastilygrim
I know exactly how you feel.
@@Hastilygrim definetly! Can't blast at 280 while everyone is at 260 haha
Still waiting for the trumpet solo.
😂
Wow, first minute 30secs, pure Yoko Ono... 🙉
One of the best of Behemoth!
Super black metal band !
amazing show and perfomance
Killer sound and Killer Performance \m/
I wonder what that mysterious red liquid in his bottle is... The blood of lambs?!
Refer to the SDM 'Left Hand ov God' video, and you will see (at the end).
Connor Ay Koolaid for Satan
It's pee. He eats a lot of beets
gatorade..??
USMCA7X that's actually true but I did find your comment quite entertaining in a positive way
La versatilidad y la genialidad son únicas una gran banda y un gran baterista Inferno eres grande.....Averno....
0:28 the screams are me in the toilet after taco bell
Excellent!!!!! ,\m/
He's so light on his drums.
hes a tapper
Drum tech: how do you want your cymbals set up?
Inferno: you know Donald Trump?
Drum tech: i got you fam.
Does an interesting blast at the end
I like my metal like my coffee, Black!
1:28 sample of screaming stops, song begins, haha
Ahhhh 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Amazing!!!
Yo dem boots are siiiiiiiick doe. *Certified Brutality*
So many good memories....
Phenomenal
Fodastico como sempre!!! \m/
Me: please, can you play blast beat in cowboy boots?
Inferno: Hold my beer....
Dude's got some tight playing, that's for sure.
Kickass and fav song
Damn clean.
Nice song behemoth
His hi-hats look uncomfortably far away.
yeah he should look into a remote hi-hat or at least a legless hi-hat stand
He is a hell of a man (looks 1.9 m in height) so he can easily reach the hats... add the 16'' sticks to the range as well...
Adrian Kruszyński The hats aren't even that far away either.
how long are sticks usually?
sreynolds1
5A's are 16 inches
Awesome
Great performance. And the parts at 5:03 is especially killer.
Inferno is the best!!!
You'll burn the marshmallows doing that!
What is the drum set? I mean it sounds good so it would be good to know if anyone has an idea
perfect returns inferno !!!!!
Cool ! Very! 🤘👍👍👍
to the people commenting on the high hat placement, just look at it relative to his first tom you don't want to be reaching over you high hat to hit it, his kit is big he looks comfortable playing it.
Fire !!!
The breakdown at 3:45 is sick!
His left hand weakened a lot, maybe some injury or something ?
I think it's just the way he's playing for this one song.
He's playing lives this way, it's a part ov his style
dulsrules once upon a time he was big, like Dave McGraw, now he looks like he starved himself
probably due to lack of practice, cause they're touring so much

This is soooooo satisfying 😍
Fucking awesome, love Behemoth, love Inferno ❤
How much do you think that drum set up costs?
Great!👍🇸🇪🛸
The bassline of this song.. dayum..
Wrist blast beat... It's weird. Usually, blast beat is done with the finger am I right?
amazing intro
Good drummer \m/
Damn, the live performance is as skilled as the studio version... Fucking gods of Black
Is inferno still drumming for them or ia it all john rice now?
0:44 This was the perfect moment for Nergal to spit fire ala Qurothron of Bathory or the dude on the cover of the first Immortal album.
Fuck that ride sounds nice
It's a paiste rude 24" mega power ride...I have one and it's the loudest ride cymbal you'll ever hear
SICK!!!!
Wooooooow !!!
Inferno...one of the best drumers of this shit...
This is sick
Those blasts are fuckin so tight.
Best!
Best live presence
Drum sound?????
класс так держать
Yeah
I loved the Yoko Ono intro
last minute is best!
What bell is that? I want it
those boots are sick
