The terrible packaging was another thing that would have annoyed me, good thing it survived the trip. Excellent work with the cleaning and RAM upgrade. Good video as usual.
I built me a nice little tiny gaming pc recently. Case is fenlan A07 Mini ITX HTPC Case. Specs are i7 12700 w/ RTX 4060. It can fit in a large jacket pocket. 🤣 Zotac 4060 single fan would fit that case, but i think even if you upgraded to the i7 9th gen you would be cpu bound.
Bravo on your persistence!! It looks like that thing was used in a commercial kitchen, next to a stove. Indeed, it was filthy. On a positive note, as you stated, the specs are decent. The great downside, however, is that crazy proprietary board; which may be ultimately compromised due to that gunk?
Good deal! I'd argue with the seller about the damage, and even the wrong spec/machine too. Sure it's a better deal for the buyer but I still dispute any inconsistencies, since I feel that's more honest.
I'm using an old pc as a "tv pc" but man this form factor would look so cool on the tv cabinet. The on you got here, MAN is that filthy looking. Nice specs tho! Luv ur vids.
I'm thinking baptism by immersion for this thing to get all the tobacco residue out from between the SMD components and out of the connectors on the MoBo. If you do this regularly and get these kinds of rough systems with some frequency you may want to think about an ultrasonic bath unit.
A smoker who spilled soda(?) in their dust bunny filled PC and just threw it in a box without packaging to ship it and forgot to include the power brick. I have a feeling I'd hate to see how the original owner lives.
I’d reach out and get a reaction about the liquid damage but not mention the spec difference. I doubt the seller is the original owner and most likely they were flipping it themselves and probably had more than one of them and shipped the wrong one.
That's a cool PC, seems like it has a decent upgrade path too. Definitely a better deal than the specs the seller listed. Very strange that it clearly had liquid damage of some kind, its amazing everything works. Also that is the worst packing ive ever seen lol.
Same thing happened to buying stuff on eBay. I paid $630 for a pre built gaming PC ment to have a Ryzen 3 with 1060 3gb 8gb RAM and 512gb SSD what I got was a Ryzen 9 3900x poor thing with stock cooler kept shutting off. Took a look inside to find wrong CPU 😂 the cost at the time of that CPU was with more then the whole PC 😂
Likie #208 Great Video. I wouldn't say anything just be happy with it and maybe give the seller a lower score or something but in the end I think you came out on top!
it might have been the mechanical 1tb HDD that was causing the frame drops and slight stuttering, as it was probably running at 5400rpm where as 3.5" HDD runs at 7200rpm
I do not like that form factor one bit it’s like a laptop without a screen. I much prefer to be able to open up my pc’s and work on them easily. One question though, what did the vape juice taste like?
I've never even seen nor heard of a machine like that so it was interesting to see you work on it. I still would be upset about the way it was shipped with no damn packing smh. That is total lazy BS and I'd be letting the seller know about himself regarding that. I have never just tossed chit in a box and shipped it , my conscious won't allow me to be that bogus and lazy. Real story, I once brought a drum cymbal from some seller in Arkansas and when I rushed to the PO to get it, it was an empty fn pizza box with dried sauce still in it, no cymbal. I was so pissed off but Ebay made it right. You're right tho, you never know what may happen with Ebay sellers. Good vid thanks for sharing.
I wouldn't go into discussion with the seller, you did get a good deal in my opinion (for what it's worth). However, I would leave lower marks and an honest warning to other buyers: "This guy didn't disclose..."
I used to work in steel plants, the PC's were subject to more dust and dirt than this PC, so I am asking myself, why is he concerned with a little dust? Just joking, I keep all my machines in a smoke free environment.
You mostly mess with PCs... Have you tried reviving an older Macintosh? Found a tossed out Power Macintosh 6500 / 250 (from '97) not sure if it works... crappy packaging! Smells! Got something different from what expected! 🤮😵💫😡 My opinion is.. if you got more or somewhat better, then it's a great deal! You got the better end! little bait & switch...
This PC needs to be cleansed with Holy Isopropyl Alcohol and I do not mean only scrubbed, I mean drenched in it. At this point theres no need to clean it with a paint brush soak it.
By this time, I'm sure you have made your decision on contacting the seller. I would not. To me, as you correctly point out, you got a better computer than advertised. I'd be happy and just let it go. It sounds like you have good plans for this system.
The 7700 will perform better in gaming than the 9400F and it has never been easier to install 11 on unsupported hardware with Rufus. But I'm sure whoever buys it from you won't know any better. A 6 core non-HT CPU is getting to be a little stuttery in some newer games. A 4c8t CPU still works fine. The overall score is similar and the single thread score is similar. Single thread is what matters and you'd have had two more of them with the 7700. I wouldn't consider this a deal and would be asking for a partial refund which I would need to get the 16GB I paid for, along with a 4c8t CPU that fits that platform. Since it didn't match the listing, you could get a full refund on this. They probably won't want to eat an additional shipping cost and you might just get it for free. Instead, you are teaching that seller it is OK to just lie in the listings. You are literally part of the problem, dude. Why do you think eBay is the way it is? Because people are too lazy to hold someone to a deal. The more sellers get away with crap like this, the worse it gets. I made the mistake one time of reselling some salvaged VoIP phones without double checking the product. I listed a 3 line phone as a 5 line phone which is a significant difference, like only getting 6 threads when you expect 8. I ate the cost of shipping (fortunately it was cheap) and let the customer keep the phones because it was my mistake. I also didn't want to pay to ship them back. I guarantee they found a way to make use of those phones because a 15 year old VoIP phone doesn't work any different than a brand new one. Only having 8gb will make sure it is irrelevant that the 1660 Super is 25% more powerful than a 1060. It will also help maximize the stutter potential of that straight 6 CPU in Cyberjunk.
you keep saying it has liquid damage. that is not liquid nor damage. also the seller was not dishonest about not mentioning it had liquid get in it. the seller was not aware. that is vape juice gunk. and thats why its all sticky. the seller didn't smoke. he vaped
it's a POS computer, can't recase, can't change cooler, can't replace psu if needed, uses laptop ram, stuck to itx cards, cant believe you paid $190 for it.
Great job! Now, go to Harbor Freight and buy a magnetic bowl in which to place all the screws as you're working.
I have a bunch of them and forget all the time lol...
@@DLMtechgarage I have a black hole somewhere in my shop where tiny screws disappear, never to be seen again.😄
The terrible packaging was another thing that would have annoyed me, good thing it survived the trip.
Excellent work with the cleaning and RAM upgrade. Good video as usual.
The lack of 16gb of ram was the reason for the stuttering. You had that right.
Dual channel
its a good thing you making a video on this so you can remember where all the screws go
so true... I did have to go back and rewatch the footage a few times lol..
The little bit of RGB makes it faster, lol
Gloves are a must for this pc clean :)

Thanks for the content. Next time if you have a peel like that, you could spray paint first, then pull the peel.

so far it has been
Thank you for the longer video, it is very appreciated. Cheers !
Glad you enjoyed it!

I might.
that form factor is great and would be a cool pc for your kid man, you could even paint it and it would be even better looking

I know right!!
Great vid man. That’s a stellar deal on that machine.
open up case put it in trash bag with some oxi odor blaster itll get rid of some of the smoke smell
Amazing it did not brake its a really nice small desktop
I love how you have made videos recommending to wear cloves, then you never wore any in this video LOL
You know I thought the same thing last video when he was using a dremel to cut the side panel on flip flops.

Nice find. I would still flip it rather than keep it.
Great gaming PC
Waiting for i7 upgrade
trying to find a decent price on one.
Oh, TY for that thought of smell it lol

Great find! I wouldn't say anything to the seller as i got the better specs 🤭
I would flip that one just because of the limitations with any future upgrade path. Plus it seems like sff PC's sell well in your area.
I am seriously leaning on doing that
Wow, that's a deep clean. What detergent do you use to clean the motherboard and graphics card? 75% Alcohol?

Cool lil rig, I'm a big MSI fan but in reality it had liquid present..but not liquid damage...she was a gross one.
🤮
yea I hate i kept saying that wrong smh....
I would ask for a partial refund for packaging at least but once again great video
could be that your also running in dual channel vs single channel ram
looked almost brand new once you'd cleaned it barring a few scratches

thanx for the vid dude!

exactly what I did.
That GPU had some free liquid cooling!
🤣
Why wouldn't you open up the pc before booting it up could brick it before youve even used it loose memory, hdd loose screws loose inside ???
bad habit for sure.
Good video though and that pc was disgusting inside
what wattage was the external power supply ?
330w

Wait, but would a seller demand additional pay,for a more advanced hardware???
Seller shipped a badly packaged biohazard. Their failure to correctly advertise the better spec is their problem, no-one else’s.
they can't, it is their mistake.

what a strange format motherboard
