Huel Versus Ka'chava- Which is better?

  • I tried both the Huel and Ka'chava meal replacement drink powders. I definitely lean more towards one than the other. These are meant to be a meal replacement drink and not just a protein powder. They are expensive! Are they worth the money? I tried the Huel Black version and the Ka'chava; both in chocolate flavor.
Huel markets that you can be a "Hueligan" where Ka'chava suggests you join the "Tribe'". I tried both, thus making me the "Hueligan" in the "Tribe!"
Hey folks! After posting this video I just had my last serving of the Ka'chava and glanced at the bag wondering if I should save it for any reason. I have been drinking VANILLA Ka'chava this entire time! So either it is an extremely light taste (as mentioned in Video) or my brain did a wonderful job of making it chocolate flavored since that is what it was expecting. Either way, it was a peasant taste

My comment posted on the Ka'chava website is awaiting moderation, but I would like to post it here too, for everyone to pay attention to this ongoing situation of ethnic groups around the world, and even people right here in the USA who are victims of a horrible crime of being surveilled and robbed of ideas/research for the advancement/benefit of others.
DAY SPRING July 24, 2021 At 7:27 pm Your comment is awaiting moderation.
This sounds and looks amazingly healthy, BUT you know what….? I have to ask the question to you and ALL the other European and white American organizations and companies out there who have exploited native lands, the non-white people groups, surveilled them for whatever excuse and robbed them of their ideas, their way of life, the basic conveniences of life, ran them off their own lands, killed them off, shoved them out of the way, so industries could be set up in place, to poison the water supply etc. etc. : Do you have a heart, or conscience, that you get rich, live at ease and comfort, have enough to waste, off the backs of non-white people groups, and have programs in effect to get rid of them, so they're not an eyesore to you anymore. Your forefathers came and gave nonwhite people groups sickness, disease, homelessness, poverty, and much suffering, so you could live freely, and have no want. Can you go to sleep at night innocent/blameless while people are deprived of their natural resources so you Americans can have the best. It's 2021 and THE WHITE RACE IS still doing it. Whites use them for cheap labor or no pay in exchange for some miserable living situation, and some off you even feed off the souls of non-white people groups. KNOW THIS: THE EARTH IS THE LORD'S, AND THE FULLNESS THEREOF, THE SILVER AND THE GOLD, AND THE CATTLE ON A THOUSAND HILLS. SOON WHEN JESUS RETURNS, THE UNJUST OF THIS EARTH WHO HAVE BOUND AND KILLED THE STEWARDS OF THE EARTH, WILL BE CALLED INTO ACCOUNT. THIS IS NOT HATE SPEECH, BUT CALLING YOU INTO ACCOUNTABILITY. HOW MUCH OF YOUR EARNINGS FROM THIS PRODUCT WILL GO BACK TO THE TRIBES YOU LEECHED OFF FOR THIS IDEA OF KA'CHAVA?????

What you are actually drinking is ENSURE the same vitamins that are in this drink are in ENSURE/boost one is milk based. You have to be active if you are not you will gain some serious weight. That shake does not fill you up and if you eat a regular diet with out cutting or counting calories you will blow up. If you have a standard serving for breakfast and then your lunch and dinner and a snack you might have already gone over your caloric intake. You have to count out everything if you add this to your diet or you will blow up.

Thank you for the review. I'm a protein shake guy for 15+ years. One thing I would point out, and somebody please correct me if I'm wrong, be mindful of your protein consumption with regards to the amount and source. Your body can only process about 24g of protein in an hour; anything more gets flushed out via your kidneys and can cause damage. I had an issue with this when I first started out in that I was consuming shakes with probably 70-80g of protein, but 50g of it was from whey isolate which is for quick absorption post workout. When my bloodwork came back from an annual checkup, my doctor said I had the kidneys (GFR) of an 80-year old. If your getting your protein from difference sources that have different breakdown and absorption rates, then you're probably fine. Casein is slow absorbing and there are blends on the market now that allow your body to absorb the protein throughout the day.

I used to do intermittent fasting. Your 16/8 is perfect. Don’t be like me by fasting all day and only eating my daily calories in one meal. It’s too much of a toll on your body and can cause inflammation to worsen. I used to occasionally extended fasts for 2-3 days of not eating. I was made to believe that’s okay. It’s really not. A while back on a science podcast I enjoy, they interviewed a scientist who studies the affects of fasting on your body. He says you definitely benefit skipping one meal per day, as long as you get enough calories and nutrients. Anything more than that can be detrimental for your health and digestive health. Keep up that 16/8, because it’s perfectly fine and may be benefiting you in numerous ways!

    • @berkeleykat420
      @berkeleykat420 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

That maybe ~somewhat~ true for OA (in terms of studies) but there are over 100+ types of arthritis and you’re just assuming it’s only the cold weather and not the atmospheric conditions that contribute to arthritis symptoms particularly in RA and JIA.
The Arthritis Foundation published a study from Tufts University in 2007 that found that every 10-degree drop in temperature corresponded with an incremental increase in arthritis pain. In addition, low temperatures, low barometric pressure, and precipitation can increase pain. Researchers are not sure why weather changes cause pain but suspect that certain atmospheric conditions increase swelling in the joint.”
Barometric pressure is the weight of the atmosphere that surrounds us. Barometric pressure often drops before bad weather. Lower air pressure pushes less against the body, allowing tissues to expand. Expanded tissues can put pressure on joints and cause pain. Changes in barometric pressure can cause expansion and contraction of tendons, muscles, bones and scar tissues, resulting in pain in the tissues that are affected by arthritis. Low temperatures may also increase the thickness of joint fluids, making them stiffer and perhaps more sensitive to pain during movement.
      www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3996041/
A 2011 article published in European Journal of Pain found similar results in people with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The researchers looked at nine previously published studies of people with RA and concluded “pain in some individuals is more affected by the weather than in others, and that patients react in different ways to the weather.”
      pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/20570193/
A 2015 study of 133 RA patients published in Rheumatology International found that their disease activity (swollen joints, pain) was lower when their days were sunny and dry.
      pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/25342437/
Just because certain studies are inconclusive about the cold as the primary variable in contributing to the increase in arthritis symptoms (particularly in OA) doesn’t automatically mean that the changes in patients symptoms are a placebo effect. Your statements were misleading. There are studies illustrating that patients feel more pain, stiffness, and swelling in extreme cold or heat fronts due to the rise in barometric pressure. Unlike RA, JIA, and psoriatic arthritis, OA doesn’t even cause swelling so it wouldn’t even in your scenario anyway since many of the studies focus on inflammation. But just because the studies are much stronger for inflammatory types of arthritis, doesn’t mean we should discount anyone’s symptoms and increase in pain. Sometimes, science isn’t there yet so ignoring a collective group of patients symptoms could be a missed opportunity for scientific breakthroughs due to inaccurate assumptions regarding the end result (placebo effect).
Why are so so pressed that this guy noticed he has an intolerance to wheat products? Why are you assuming that he’s experiencing a placebo effect and randomly incorrectly arguing about arthritis in the winter? And more importantly, why does his body’s reaction to wheat bother you?
@balanced perceptions I appreciated the review! As someone with gastroparesis, I need liquid meal replacements and this really helped me out. I was disappointed to see someone try to invalidate your experience rather than appreciate what your video really had to offer.
