Ahhhh ... just wonderful!! Almost perfect! I must say that there's no sneaking up on anyone while you're there 😊!! Kidding aside, dear LTE, this is a great stop! Such lovely people, humble and gracious, yet so proud of what they share with their guests. Love it! Also, the interior of that simple church was absolutely stunning! I'm so glad you stopped in! How happy I am not to see an on-site gym with state of the art equipment for a change! Yes, I guess that I really prefer these boutique places over the grand resort types. Thank you for bringing us along! A bientot!!

Colca Canyon was amazing when I went there. We were really lucky that our driver knew some spots where not many tourists came. He said that there were less Condors, but sometimes there were more then at the crowded tourists spots and we were very lucky that day!

WOOOOW, very Nice and rustic glamping, love the bed spreads...and the views to the river from your " hut"...but the tents (lovely) ⛺️ don't offer very privacy on their deck ,and the huts are just in front of their decks...😮not great views...pity...

Qith the lodge, the canyon, the terrain, the Andean condor, it all reminds me of a place about 4500 miles to the north, the US Grand Canyon, with the El Tovar, and the California condor.

I often feel that way after watching a lot of TH-cam videos to be honest............. Does it make us actually visit a place, or just tick it off our bucket list feeling we've seen the main sights and can therefore save a few thousand dollars. I agree with your point totally about this !

PS: I suggest the GLAMPING in STA CATARINA /BRAZIL ,the most beautiful I've ever seen and it's the BIGGEST CANNION in SOUTH AMERICA. Superbe vegetation and you can have a dawn BALLON TRIP over the CANNION (spectacular!!) The TENTS are all lined with lovely❤ hand printed fabrics and very sophisticated, their decks have fire place and a hot rustic jacuzzi...The food is excellent, an huge open kitchen with wood ovens and a variety of choices , you can order. At 🌙 night outside the famous FOGO DE CHÃO fire 🔥 barbecue for those who love the best meat 🍖 in BRAZIL !! Lots of vegan options too ...And, fortunately it's a place still almost " secret" and not very popular even in BRAZIL (🙏)

thank you for this video/tour! We are actually planning trip and this beautiful property was on our list to try, but soon found that, indeed, they do not offer 2days 1 night hiking colca canyon(down to sangalle and back up again). May I ask what tour did you use for this trekking? And the process on coordinating with Puqio (e.g. did you have to check out, and re check in, agreement on where to pick you guys back again?) I know it's so many detail questions. I've just emailed the concierge as well but would love to hear from traveler's actual end experience.

We only did a day hike. We saw the condors in the morning and then walked from Cabanaconde to Llahuar on the valley floor, after which a prebooked 4x4 took us back to Puqio. Drop me an email and I can share more information if needed 😉

Puqio and Cirqa - as well as Titilaca on Lake Titicaca - are managed by the same travel company, Andean (andean.travel). You can reach out to them by email or book directly on their website.

If I may ask a simple question, when you embark on these hikes, do the tour operators provide hiking sticks to each hiker or are these sticks generally provided by those tourists who elect to go on such hikes?
