  • Will Jon Morgan dredge up some coarse gold to beat the weight of a respectable pile of flour gold in this nail-biter full of twists and turns?

      Lee Majors Hendrix is leech negative and made that jump just like a Bigfoot getting into a foxhole when he hears the whistle of a mortar shell 💥💥💥. TH-cam really needs to buy the bionic man action sound effect so I can get all professional 🤔

      Yes it was! So different with silver instead of black sand and all the different colors of quartz there with an occasional piece of fire agate. A great place for gold mining and rock hounding.

      It’s not luck it’s really a lot of research and testing over and over until you find a pattern. It’s not always like this. Many times running 20 buckets of dirt and got only a 0.1 or so. Sheer will and determination will find gold. I do best where people don’t even check.

      It wasn't really a competition. It was getting out and finding gold. Plus I didn't pick up a shovel all day but my back still hurts. I know you enjoyed the 4 minute walk from the car. Pretty good gold to be behind that little strip mall. Wonder if that Chinese restaurant dumps their scraps in this creek?

    If I drive there blind folded, would you take me to that spot?

    • @LeeHendrixGold
      @LeeHendrixGold  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      🤔Is it the beautiful quartz everywhere, the easily classified sandy material, or just the fact that it's outside of Uwharrie that makes it attractive? Jon still hasn't allowed me to drive there without the blindfold. I can usually hear the motorcycles but some of the new electric cars are just too quiet 🙈

    What a beautiful day & a nice haul to boot. Did you make that bucket pack? Not sure why butt some reason that's the first time I seen it.

    • @LeeHendrixGold
      @LeeHendrixGold  ปีที่แล้ว

      I realized after replying that you were asking about the carrying straps that allow them to be carried like a backpack. I found that on Amazon and think it's called the "bucket buddy" or something like that 🙂

    Have you ever calculated how many 5 gal buckets a person would have to classify and run through a sluice to get 1 oz of gold? Hundreds, maybe a thousand?

    • @LeeHendrixGold
      @LeeHendrixGold  ปีที่แล้ว

      John did 10 buckets on Memorial day in Uwharrie for a .92 so in ground that good it would only take 337 buckets 🤣

    • @jonmorgan1913
      @jonmorgan1913 ปีที่แล้ว

      Where we dig in this video, I have sluiced .05 grams per bucket so that would be 622 buckets to get an ounce. Each bucket varies so it could be more.

    • @jonmorgan1913
      @jonmorgan1913 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We could dig up Lee's backyard where he hides his gold from mining. Much easier.

    Nice run. That’s really good for that area. You guys get back to picker or nothing spot lately? Man Guilford county has been pretty good lately. What you said about pickers not moving far away is true. Funny thing how digging just a couple feet over would produce. I am wanting to make a high banker sluice box. Any recommendations on gph rating for 12v 10x55 box ? Nice to see that simple equipment can get good results.

    • @LeeHendrixGold
      @LeeHendrixGold  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm glad to hear you are getting some more pickers. Have you gotten any that look like a dog, rabbit, horse, Elvis, etc? I haven't been to the "go big, or go home" spot lately because was mostly going home without any gold 🤣. You should watch a channel called "Utmost Outdoors" for some ideas on the highbanker build. He has done some very recent vids on that and gotten great results. Be careful about saying you're finding big gold somewhere - Jon is likely to put a GPS tracker on your car! 🤣

      Jon says 622 is the magic number so if you made that your full time job for 2-months, you could get $2000 doing 10 buckets a day. Not a very good way to make a living but a lot of fun on the weekends 🤣
