    We enjoyed the underwater view. I found myself wanting to stay under longer...and use that crowbar on the crevis areas! Looked really fun! I was glad that I got woreout watching...🤣🤣 good job Lee! Thanks..

      I was torn with walking back to get my bucket full of rocks to anchor the dredge which would free up the rock bar that I was using instead but it wasn't worth the trouble. It's a real workout walking against the river's current. I can see Jon really enjoying that as a 2-mile substitute. 🤣

      Yes, I'm just glad the drought wasn't too bad during the growing season for the farmers around here. I remember back in the mid-80's when we had a drought so severe that farmers had bring in hay from other states out West.

      I bought that from Keene engineering. At the time I purchased it, they had a free freight promotion so that it shipped all the way here from the West coast to here for free. At the heart of it is that Honda motor which is very dependable and economic to use.

    Great video Lee,ive always wondered about the Yadkin,it looks like there wasnt alot of overburden where u were,is that typical of the yadkin? I was wondering how a guy would do with an 8 inch on the yadkin river and how accesible it would be geting a big dredge in the river?

    • @LeeHendrixGold
      @LeeHendrixGold  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      A friend with a 5" dredge let me have the experience of diving with air in that same part of the river. I felt like I was going to suffocate the whole time since I'm not accustomed to that but the diving with air opens up a lot more possibilities. I have to find very shallow spots with little overburden for my little 2" so that I don't have to dive and hold my breath which I don't mind doing in July but a different story when the nights dip into the low 40's. There is a boat ramp there so it is perfect for someone with a bigger dredge than mine to launch from.

    • @s.d.iprospecting4359
      @s.d.iprospecting4359 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@LeeHendrixGold I hear that,ive never dredged before or used any type of diving equipment i bet it would take some time to get used to breathing through a regulator.

      After watching the video I had to watch another just to be sure so overall some bits were slow (finding the spots mainly) I enjoy the dredging the gold doesn't matter to me you are a newish channel so video quality is alittle bad but still fully watchable and will get better as u grow am sure of it. I would like to get to know you so maybe in the videos you explain why u started what's the goal etc so my engagement with you as a creator is more than just prospecting like I say for me just finding you I will be subbing to your channel and hope to put you in my list of prospectors ( the legit on the river no planted gold ) view list I love gold and stories around how gold was found the dream finds the excitement of the motherload so again overall score I would say 7/10 for the content 6/10 video and audio again I know this will improve as the channel grows which I feel it will do so here to 100k subs and a good few years of content for me to gobble up

    • @LeeHendrixGold
      @LeeHendrixGold  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thank you! I agree with you and I think you are too kind and maybe off by about 98K subs 🤔. Personally, I would probably give this vid about a 4 or 5 on content and maybe a 5 in quality just because I pulled off getting underwater footage for the first time. It is hard to dredge one-handed and get video especially when clearing rocks off the nozzle. Thanks again for your feedback!

      @asjamuir5534 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@LeeHendrixGold 💯 agree it's mighty hard have u watch any of abyss dredging they would sometimes anchor down the camera on a tripod with rocks maybe reaching out to another small channel to tandum dive together help grow each others channels with viewer cross over as an idea. Do u watch other dredging channels on TH-cam they're isn't alot to choose from due to most states being again dredges and abyss dredging who were awesome moving to a gold rush programme it's more for me to watch than you to learn why I ask as your within the community of dregers

    • @LeeHendrixGold
      @LeeHendrixGold  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, Abyss is a superb dredging channel. The Tassie Boys are fantastic to watch doing sniping. They are both blessed with really large gold and good water clarity in their part of the world. I'm sure they are jealous of the typically murky water and relatively small gold we have here 🤣. I had a comment from someone who is a diver that volunteered to help out, so who knows, maybe one day I'll find some gold really worth documenting. For now, this is mostly a local interest video for North Carolina people familiar with the Yadkin River who have crossed over it hundreds of times on I-40 or Hwy 421 and never realized that there is gold in it and every once in while, you can actually see your feet when standing in it! Anyway, thank you for your comments and feedback regarding the channel. Take care and stop by again sometime 👍
