That song when you called out the Stevie Wonder vibe was actually a good observation. The delivery did have that feel. The song is actually “We’re a Winner” by the Impressions (Curtis Mayfield on lead vocals). Keep up the great reactions!

This is one of my all-time favorite performances! I was 11 when this aired, and I recorded it on VHS (and shushed everyone in the room when Prince came on as if their talking would impact the quality of my recording). 😂 I was hoping you'd be watching a version of the video that included Angela Bassett and Dr. Cornell West presenting the Vanguard to Prince. The video they put together with clips of him was amazing too. You should look that part up at some point. After watching, I was reminded just how amazing this performance is. You get to see Prince as a multi-instrumentalist, singer, dancer, songwriter, producer, bandleader, and you get to see how he nurtured upcoming talent (Tamar) and how he worked a crowd. I would argue that this performance is better than the super bowl performance or the R&R Hall of Fame Harrison tribute that people love to call out as his "best performances." Also...I LOVE watching your reactions. Keep 'em coming! 💜
