📢Malakia's In The House! Sup, NGL I wasn't able to listen to SISIA for 2yrs. Heck, my mind wouldn't believe it for 3 days. Complete denial I was. I don't know when you started your Prince discovery but mine started 42yrs ago when I was 9. And just like millions around the world Prince connected with me like no other artist has. So much so that it makes you feel special. Anyhoo lol I finally made the move and listened to the song that was covered by D'Angelo ft Princess on Jimmy Fallon April 26th, 2016. It was a reaction video put out by TH-camr Geekgirl World. I'd like to see your reaction to her reaction of D'Angelo's reaction while playing the cover tribute. You won't cry.....much Liv4luv 0(+-
What a great selection. I’ve never seen this particular performance before. It is beautiful. His slower material is just as magical to me as his up-tempo songs. 💜
Thanks for watching this one. I've seen a few clips from this one, but I don't think I've sat down to watch the whole thing. I love hearing these deep cuts live. The whole Come 2 My House album is so stellar! One of the best Prince-produced side project albums to ever come out of Paisley Park. And Rave was my first Prince album, so the Sun, Moon, and Stars has a special place in my heart. The vibe is kinda similar to some of the paisley shows, but he wouldn't be having so many sound issues. Although, there was one party where the sound wasn't quite right, and he cut the band off halfway through the first song and threw his stool off the back of the stage and just walked off. But he could do that at Paisley because he didn't advertise the parties as concerts, so people wouldn't go expecting him to play. One of the only times I've ever seen Prince lose his cool though.
Yeah, that song gets me right in the feels, too. 😢😢😢 Dang it, Prince! 😭 Another fun fact: Prince gave the OK for the Joffrey Ballet Co. to do an entire production featuring his music back in 1993. (The video is available if you do some digging.) In all honesty, some of the choreography was just not my vibe; However, the opening number was Sometimes It Snows In April & it was so very Lovely. And YES, this man's vocals!!!! 🫠🫠🫠🫠🫠 🤗💜
I love this show so much. Prince is the only performer I know who will call out the sound and then tell the techs what to do to fix it. He continues to call it out throughout this performance. It cracks me up for some reason. Sometimes It Snows in April has always been special to me. My birthday is in April and the Parade album came out on my birthday so I bought it as a gift to myself on my 15th birthday. That song always made my cry and it’s even worse now, but I still love it. I’m really enjoying watching this performance with you. Congrats again on 1,000 subs! 💜💜💜
@@ButterscotchCloud_7 Yes!!! I love those Montreux shows. Malakia was going to react to them, but TH-cam took them down recently. Why do we live him calling out the sound and lighting techs so much? I can’t help it though! 💜💜💜
Prince also used to call out all of the musicians in his band silently on stage with a hand gesture by rubbing his fingers together representing the sign of money when they made a mistake or hit the wrong note on a song. Prince didn't do it as if he was just having fun & joking around with them. He meant it & enforced it by fining a band member $500+ depending on how bad they f%cked up on a tune. Just saying... Real Talk! ++Peace Funk & Rock n' Roll 4 Your Soul My Friends++ 🤘😎🤘 "May U Live 2 C The Dawn"
😂😂❤ thank u so much for playing this i'm in the breakroom suffer with a sinus headace and listen to this slow but surely made it go away and got me so realax that i can clock on at 2:30pm man i love and miss prince so much 😢😢😢😢
That’s Rhonda on the upright bass. She’s amazing and you know it Cuz she’s been with him for a few decades. I love when she sits down and plays. She’s so chill.
Truly appreciate EXAMPLFICATION OF A TRUE "ARTIST" 🎨 🖌 painting the perfect picture 🖼 musicology 🎶 101 class in session may I present 2U the PURPLE YODA...👏🏽👏👏🏾👏🏿👏🏻👏🏽👏🏿
This time of year is tough. I think I had a grieving month. Still, every April since he left us, I get a Love Symbol on a fingernail as a little memorial. This song is rough considering.

@jjlovesprince I find that hilarious about him also. Have you seen the Montreux Festival where he keeps asking "Huggie" to turn down the lights? 😂
