I don’t think your missing much I watched a few episodes since they made you pay and they weren’t as good. I think they kind of lost interest in it. I feel like Finnigans has been spending more time on his personal TH-cam channel which I recommend

@@TheKnown98 It was ok for a bit but with the distance that Fin movedI think it started getting too difficult to get back over to Cali and then keep coming up with "new" stuff. Which is a shame because the old eps of just buying something and nursing it with roadside fixes and tricks was awesome on its own. After a while it felt a bit forced and more work than fun.

I miss these Roadkill episodes. I also miss the 1970s. My uncle had one of those jet boats back in the day with the coolest gas pedal. It was made out of metal in the shape of a bare right foot.

As for what happened, my first educated guess would be running too lean and too much boost with the stock compression ratio.

If your gonna use copper silicone for a gasket u gotta coat both sides let them sit till tacky depending on temperature then tighten them down it won’t blow lol.. I had no money when I was younger lol I perfected it on several turbo cars lol usually sand both surfaces a little it’s all in the prep lol

I had a '72 Biesemyer. Bought it for $2500. 460 big block with a .30 over cam.. Berkeley jet, seated 8, would barely get to 50mph. It did throw a nice roost though.

But truck engine compared to marine gm engine different cam pistons oil pan an hardware is all stainless so this thing will get very rusty an won't run quite right unfortunately

Was always told to not use a car engine in a boat as the tolerance on the bearings are looser in the boat?
As an engine builder of 90s SCARAB boats with mercruiser 454 big block chevys. I found no difference. Even a stock pressure/volume oil pump and just a Crane hydraulic flat tappet cam.

Maybe watch the entire video. It’s the highlights of two episodes. 36 and 121. Episode 121 is where it gets twin turbos and then spits rods out.
And it’s an ls lol rods don’t hold …..
