You’re kind of right. I tried to make more places where the songs overlap, in fact I even ended up using an ai to separate the vocals although this went unused, but it just didn’t sound very good so I only had both playing at once during the chorus.

The way the songs compliment each other and bounce off each other perfectly is incredible.
Other people have pointed that out and I do agree I probably should have made it louder. Without the musical know-how to completely separate the drums from the melody of the cybergrind I was forced to just use a high-pass filter and try to reduce the low-end to stop the chorus from sounding too chaotic. Perhaps I should have upped the intensity of the filter and made the cybergrind louder in those parts. I wanted to use the vocals from I Can't Fix You over the musical parts of the cybergrind, however the rythymn just didn't seem to match up in most places and after a lot of trying I was forced to scrap the idea.
Big fan of the chorus, hoping you could revisit this someday and chop up the I Can’t Fix You vocals you isolated and fit them into the cybergrind bits with a muffled filter or something as well as the synth melodies, maybe add some extra breaks to the ICFY parts? Just spitballing here but this has so much potential I’m kind of loving it

Looking back I could have done a lot better and it kinda sucks that this video got so much attention even though it's not that good but I'm glad you could enjoy some of it anyway. The Cybergrind Can't Fix You idk but that makes sorta sense to me because V1 needs blood to survive, and the cybergrind gives them it but at the same time it's trapped until it dies so they'll never be truly "fixed"
