That first "simulator" is more of an art piece than a simulator. You're paying for the aesthetic way more than the actual sim racing hardware. You can absolutely tell they conformed the steering wheel and monitor setup to the chassis design rather than the other way around. Just look at how awkward the steering wheel angle is. Thats going to wear out your wrist super quick. Its a $60,000 piece of art that happens to have sim racing equipment in it.
What I would hate about the $2M system is the total lack of depth perception. I tried something like this in Las Vegas once, and I had no clue how far away parts of the track were. The screen is much further than the closest parts of the track might be. Adding those real wheels to look over into a 2D confusion drove me nuts.
you do realise his whole garage is filled with bugatti stuff, which means the owner probably has a bugatti, and you're out here complaining about 63k, which is so far i know about how much tires of a bugatti cost.
@@Gagliano17 I honestly don’t understand what portion of your comment is relevant They are emphasizing on ‘having a sim at your home’ 63k is not something people would spend on a simulator just to put in their house lmao
I'm the happy owner of 2 race rigs. One prosimu T1000 3 DOF and a MotionXP 6DOF rig. This with the latest VR headsets and monster pc's and their cheaper than the prodrive LOL 😆 😂 NOTHING beats a VR HMD...
The 60k one was a toy... The 2M one a professional tool. There's a cheaper version of the 60k one, approachable to all (not "luxury", but "luxury tech" is a dumb idea) 20k will get you over 90% of the information provided by the 2M dollar rig. There is a lack of complete research here at the lower end
Doesn't know how to hold the wheel on the sim also doesn't know how to hold the wheel on the real car, win-win. First of all, the latency he is talking is only the motion, for example Qubic claims less than 8ms, so not sure where he got the 50/60ms, maybe for the very low cost motion?!? I had to search, but the Dynisma is a driving simulator, the main objective of a racing simulator is to race.
VR is not strictly better for sim racing, I know plenty of people in my sim racing league that have gone VR, regretted it, and came back to ultrawides or triple monitor setups
@@jess_o People using VR, like me, have learned to accept the current downsides of VR because the visual immersion is the next best thing to being there. I have a super ultrawide that I use more often than my quest 3 but only because (PC)VR is not exactly user friendly or efficient, at the present time. I highly prefer VR to flatscreen for sim racing and it will eventually become the standard, IMO.
@@technogov2 Sure, its a matter of preference, that's my point. NCV was under the impression that it's strictly better, which is what I was disagreeing with.
@@jess_o my issue was the price - agree on the current state limitations of vr but it's a fair tradeoff for the immersion. Gran Turismo 7 vr is still impressive
The video is terrible. It starts out by saying how racing is unaffordable for most people and that the answer to that problem is racing simulators. Then goes on to show two of the most stupidly overpriced and unrepresentative racing simulators that exist.

i think the 63k one is a major rip off, it doesn't even seem like its a motion rig.
its beautiful but id rather have a profile rig and a motion setup and $50k.
the material and design just scream rip off, all look, no utility
@@oldcowbb yeah, most of the cost is the bent beechwood.
The first one so f*cking goofy. It's a normal setup you could get but its inside beach bench.
60k for a static seat and a single screen, what a rip-off!
"I'm going to get in very gingerly" * kicks monitor *
The advantage of buying the 2 million dollar simulator is you'll be able to drive your wife really quickly to the divorce lawyer.
Even Max verstappen dont need a $2m rig let alone a $65k rig. He drives on a $15k rig at best.

I mean could be easaly fixed by using 3d projectors
@@nobodyinteresting9967So, motion rig and VR goggles?
@@michaelknight2342 also an option but sounds like it would make you sick
What a terrible comparison. For $15k you could get something that rivals the drive quality by fathoms in the dynusma. And also has a motion rig
And can fit in your office/garage/game room
For 63k just buy a real car 😭
you do realise his whole garage is filled with bugatti stuff, which means the owner probably has a bugatti, and you're out here complaining about 63k, which is so far i know about how much tires of a bugatti cost.
Hard pressed to find a track car for that money, and the upkeep on a sim will be WAY better
The cumulative costs of racing in real life with something even as modest as a Mustang will quickly outpace the one time cost of a high end rig.

You could replicate the dynisma experience for the price of the pro driver.
100% this video lacked research.
Both rigs are for rich costumers. But I will say that 8:30 graph is total BS :)
60K and no motion! 🤣
4ms input latency is not difficult and not the core problem. Visual processing latency is.
For 2 mil i would rather buy a Ferrari instead of simulator
Hold up, funny guitar hero man??
Honestly, @ProjectSimRacing and @boostedmedia have sim setups that are are better than the 63k setup and are just as entertaining as the 2M one
How I feel using a force feedback Logitech wheel on a racing game instead of a controller
Oh, I love you guys, the best market analysis! Seriously, why not mention Eledator?
If you can afford to blow that kind of money on a simulator, you might as well buy yourself a fast bike or car and do it for real
Agreed. Bought a full motion sim and ended up getting a Lotus car myself.
You could very well get a used racing car for less than 60k. The host is nuts
You can build a proper triple wide monitor setup with haptics and a fourth monitor on top of the triples for half the price of the Jag.
I could build a sim rig and use a VR headset for BETTER immersion for less than 10k
$2M rig with a helmet cam, and it's only recording at about 15 FPS :/
Did you really have to tape your car logo on the steering wheel?
You failed me TH-cam algorythm - you know I can't even afford to waste money on a VR headset.
At poiny you could just rent an entire race track, buy a ferrari and drive it there
Is there a layaway plan for the $2m sim?
For that amount of money ypu could buy a sports car and rent, or even build, your own race track. 😅

Liked the first one better
i bought a wheel for 500 euros and im having a blast
i recomend to everyone if u love cars super fun
It's like a professional flight simulator where real pilots train, except for racing cars. (simulated)
Why bother taping over the logo on the steering wheel? We know you are driving a Vauxhall Insignia.
Imagine have a apple vision instead of a screen 🤯
Now this is where tech like apple vision would be useful.
All of these can be massively outclassed with a simple VR headset rather than a screen.
Thank you for your research. I find your videos are well done. RIght now I'm keeping an eye on Eledator
2 Mil and the graphics look like this? Hmmm
The MrBeastification of vanity!
"Im Jeremy White" well, thats pretty obvious.
Yea the 63k one is nice looking but no triple screens or significant motion rig??? You can get something better for at least half that price 😂
Spend 2 million on a driving simulator, or less that 1/4 of the price on a literal supercar. hmm
Wait till Chinese tech provides that last one for 20 grand.
what did you do with brent rose
For a million I better be driving around a hyper realistic looking city.
This set-up is built for a specific title. The title you are asking for doesn't exist 🤦🏽♂️
what a rip off! with a 500 bucks I build my own motion simrig. Sim racing not have to loaded like a real racing though.
50k lol. Because it has that unnecessarily big container? I have seen better custom made setups for like 1k.
$1k will only buy you a 23nm wheel base.
Doesn't know how to hold the wheel on the sim also doesn't know how to hold the wheel on the real car, win-win.

just get a real race car at this point
Play one. I like one
Or, we call it 'what pewdiepie does daily.'
Why do they need the helmet for? Crashing into screen😂?
wait. let me get this straight, it costs 60.000 and does not even move ? GTFO. that's no simulator, that's just a gaming rig with a beech roof.
63k and it's not even VR ? I could get a new civic type r ( or better ) and a ps5 +gt7+psvr2+thrustmaster for less...

I would not be able to get used to the clicking sound the $2m sim was making every few seconds

I'd imagine for a couple of extra bucks you can get a helmet with inbuilt speakers blasting engine noise completely negating that
